Qiu Chi was an abandoned infant, an orphan who grew up eating garbage and drinking rainwater. Everyone knew her, everyone avoided her, and everyone thought she was better off dead—except for Mama Zhang.
Mama Zhang took her home, gave her warmth, and after discovering her talent for painting, she invested everything to nurture it, turning Qiu Chi into a painting genius sought after by major media outlets.
However, the good times didn’t last.
Mama Zhang died, in a manner identical to the scenes in Qiu Chi’s paintings. The police suspected her, the neighbors blamed her, and even Mama Zhang’s daughter told her to die. Suddenly, malicious intent overwhelmed her, and she had no choice but to end her own life in a great fire.
That day, Qiu Chi died.
The only one who survived was the mysterious cartoonist, Autumn.
Zhang Zhuo always remembers the day her mother brought “Little Chi” home; the rain poured down.
Her only impression of this “Elder Sister,” who was two years her senior, was: So dirty, so smelly, so annoying.
From that day on, she added one thing to her daily routine: hating Little Chi.
When Little Chi painted, Zhang Zhuo interfered. When Little Chi ate, she snatched the food. When Little Chi bathed, she practiced diving. When Little Chi was confessed to, she was angry all night.
After graduating from high school, she got into a fight and dragged her bruised body home. She knocked on Little Chi’s door and asked her: “Why is it that only I can’t?”
Little Chi was silent. Little Chi closed the door. Little Chi killed their mother and then set herself on fire.
Only Zhang Zhuo knew that it wasn’t just their home that was burned down that day.
It was also her unplaceable love.
Their reunion was also on a rainy day.
Zhang Zhuo knocked on the suspect’s door. The resurrected first love opened the door and asked who she was.
Zhang Zhuo smiled bitterly, lowered her head, took out her badge, and introduced herself: “Zhang Zhuo, Captain of the Criminal Investigation Squad, Lan City Branch.” Ten years apart, I’m the one here to arrest you.
The day after Qiu Chi fled, warrants for her arrest covered the streets and alleys.
Zhang Zhuo swore she would never let her go again this time.
However.
The moment she witnessed Qiu Chi desperately draining her own blood to save her, her hatred suddenly vanished. It was then that she understood—
The person she hated the most was also the person who loved her the most.
