Becoming the Yandere Omega's Fluffy Pet - Chapter 4
Chapter 4: Liu Ran’s Life Is in Her Hands.
When Ming Siyu returned to her bedroom, she discovered a trail of blood at the door.
She thought of Liu Ran’s mangled tail. It had likely rubbed against something and started bleeding again.
Ming Siyu called Qi Zhen to clean it up. As Qi Zhen sprayed the disinfectant, Ming Siyu had a sudden whim: “When you bathed her, did she let you touch her?”
Qi Zhen answered honestly, “No, Eldest Miss. I wanted to help wash her tail, but she pulled it back the moment I touched her.”
Hearing this, Ming Siyu’s mood improved slightly.
Once the cleaning was done, Qi Zhen brought her a glass of water before bed, and Ming Siyu dismissed her to rest.
Before sleeping, her friend He Qiange sent a message: “Sisi, how does she feel?”
He Qiange was the daughter of a renowned international journal publishing group. She was the same age as Ming Siyu and a former classmate. The Ming family’s entertainment group often did business with the He family, especially their fashion magazines. The two had always maintained a good relationship.
However, compared to Ming Siyu, who managed the group personally, He Qiange didn’t have to worry much about the family business. She had two healthy and capable mothers and a sister who was an investment genius and an extreme “younger sister protector.” None of them would let her suffer even a bit. Most of the time, He Qiange just had to be a comfortable socialite who spent money lavishly. Ming Siyu sometimes envied her.
Ming Siyu recalled the texture of the small wolf ears. “Not bad,” she replied.
He Qiange: “Lucky you, Sisi… Bring her out someday so I can touch her. I’ve never petted an Arctic wolf. I’ll bring my sister’s dog too; maybe they can play together.”
Ming Siyu: “We’ll see.”
No one else was allowed to touch something she hadn’t petted enough of herself. Not even He Qiange.
The image of Liu Ran’s pitiful appearance surfaced in her mind again. Anyone else might have softened, but Ming Siyu didn’t buy into that.
Bleeding tail… Ming Siyu frowned. Should it be bandaged? The researcher said the tail needed medicine to grow fur back quickly. If left alone, it would take ages for the wound to heal and grow new fur naturally.
That was too slow. She didn’t have that much time to wait for Liu Ran.
She pulled back the covers to get out of bed, but as her weight shifted onto her foot, she let out a small hiss of pain. Looking down, there was a bruise on the top of her foot. Against Ming Siyu’s cold, pale skin, the bruise was particularly prominent.
Liu Ran’s knee had hit it.
She had almost forgotten about that. Ming Siyu retracted her intention to give Liu Ran medicine and lay back down. It was just one night; she could afford to wait. Let Liu Ran stay in the dark room alone, clutching her bleeding tail and weeping in secret.
Liu Ran was part wolf, wasn’t she? Wolves have strong vitality; she wouldn’t die from a little blood.
She had to let Liu Ran know that her life was held in Ming Siyu’s hands.
Ming Siyu swallowed two sleeping pills and went to sleep.
Darkness didn’t scare Liu Ran. She had gained slight night vision from her Arctic wolf genes, and she quickly mapped out the room. It was a storage room filled with infrequently used items, many covered in dust.
She loosely tied the lead attached to her collar around her waist to move more easily, used some cardboard boxes to make a small sleeping area, and curled up.
The hardest part was the lack of water. Ming Siyu’s cruelty exceeded that of the previous two buyers; she had actually learned the “water deprivation” tactic from the researchers to deal with her.
The smell of blood in the air told Liu Ran her wound was bleeding. She held her tail, found the injury, and licked it gently. When she was jolted awake by the sound of the door opening, the sky outside was bright. The muscle relaxant had finally worn off, and she had regained some strength, but hunger and thirst left her too weak even to throw a punch. Her head was spinning.
I can’t die, Liu Ran thought.
But should she surrender to Ming Siyu? No. Liu Ran had learned from experience: when facing a bully, backing down only makes them push further.
Ming Siyu, wearing a draped gray suit, hooked Liu Ran’s collar and led her back to the bedroom door, tethering her once again. Liu Ran’s lips were cracked, and the fur on her ears and tail was dull. Ming Siyu had a plan; she had Qi Zhen bring water and food.
Like wind blowing on dying embers, Liu Ran’s cold, resentful eyes lit up instantly at the sight of the food tray. Driven by instinct, she moved toward it. Just an inch away, she felt a tug. She had reached the maximum length of the leather lead.
Ming Siyu remembered He Qiange saying, when she was taking care of her sister’s dog, that a hungry dog is the easiest to train.
Her red lips parted slightly. “Who am I? Answer correctly, and I’ll give it to you.”
Liu Ran was vindictive. “Ming Siyu.”
Didn’t Qi Zhen say Ming Siyu hated people calling her by her name? Fine, then she would call her that. If Ming Siyu wanted to disgust her, she would disgust her right back.
Sure enough, Ming Siyu narrowed her eyes slightly. However, she seemed to have more patience than the night before; she didn’t lash out. Instead, she moved the tray back an inch.
“Incorrect.”
Liu Ran bit her lip. “…You are Ming Siyu.”
She had underestimated Ming Siyu’s depravity. At this moment, for someone dying of thirst and hunger, moving the food and water away was a hundred times more painful than being slapped. Yet the food wasn’t taken away completely; it sat right there, seemingly within reach.
As long as she gave the “correct” answer.
“Wrong again.” The tray moved back another inch.
Liu Ran knelt on the floor, fists clenched, her whole body shaking with humiliation.
“…Mas…ter.”
Finally, Liu Ran rasped out the correct answer. Something inside her collapsed, and the shards of that collapse made it hard to breathe. Her nose stung, and hot tears blurred her vision.
The tray moved forward—but only by one inch, back to where it was when she first used Ming Siyu’s name.
Ming Siyu said casually, “Points were deducted just now. Now, points can only be added back bit by bit.”
Liu Ran bit her lip until it bled, her head buzzing with rage. She was being trampled upon by Ming Siyu. That elegant, perfect exterior actually contained a rotten, foul demonic soul.
She wanted to tear Ming Siyu apart right now, to sink her sharp canines into that slender neck, to crush that cold superiority and force her to beg for mercy.
Liu Ran’s eyes were bloodshot. She gritted her teeth and said, “…Master.”
Only after she called her “Master” three times did Ming Siyu push the tray inch by inch to where she could reach it.
Liu Ran devoured the food, swallowing her tears along with it.
Ming Siyu had played enough. She tossed a bottle of medicine to Liu Ran, telling her to apply it to her tail, then stepped into her stiletto heels and left for the Group.
Liu Ran thought she would be forced to wait at the bedroom door all day again. She opened the medicine Ming Siyu gave her and sniffed it; confirming it was the same as her previous medicine, she bitterly applied it to her tail.
A while later, Qi Zhen took away the tray and handed her a tablet. The screen was open to a shopping app.
Qi Zhen was afraid of her and stood two meters away. “The Eldest Miss instructed you to buy some clothes online.”
Ming Siyu’s actual words were: “Let her buy something to wear; don’t let her wander around my house with a bare backside, it’s shameless.” Qi Zhen felt partly responsible for Liu Ran’s lack of clothes and felt guilty; moreover, she couldn’t bring herself to say the second half of the sentence, so she skipped it.
Liu Ran breathed a sigh of relief. She hadn’t expected Ming Siyu to proactively let her buy clothes.
Her desire to bite Ming Siyu to death lessened slightly. She had prepared herself to be shamed repeatedly for not having underwear—after all, the things Ming Siyu said last night were so foul, and she had seemed secretly excited.
She couldn’t help but recall those cunning fox-like eyes hidden behind the glasses. Because of those eyes, Ming Siyu looked like someone who wasn’t easily fooled, and in reality, she was no saint.
Would Ming Siyu really be this kind? Would someone who touched her without permission be kind enough to let her pick her own clothes? The probability of Ming Siyu acting out of the goodness of her heart was lower than the probability of Liu Ran winning the lottery.
Seeing Liu Ran dazed, Qi Zhen urged her, “Don’t worry about the price. This app is linked to the Eldest Miss’s bank card. The password-free limit is very high; just click pay. She is very generous, go ahead and choose.”
Whatever. She would buy them first. Liu Ran really didn’t want to keep wearing this camisole nightgown.
Liu Ran filtered for “Same Day Delivery.” She chose several sets of summer sportswear and some long skirts with wide hems. Sportswear was loose, and wide skirts provided enough space to hide her tail. She bought mid-to-high-end brands, spending several thousand dollars on a few items. Thinking about not having to expose her backside made her feel much better; knowing it was Ming Siyu’s money made it strangely satisfying.
After the clothes, she bought some underwear. However, panties were hard to find. Searching for “underwear with a hole for a tail” only brought up spicy, sexy “erotic” lingerie. She couldn’t find a single normal pair.
Liu Ran felt frustrated. Then again, the search term itself wasn’t “normal”; what did she expect to find?
Something was better than nothing. To get them as fast as possible, she used a flash-delivery service. Offline adult stores in A City sold them, which was faster than online shipping. She picked two pairs that looked the least “pornographic.”
After placing the orders, Liu Ran, who hadn’t touched electronics in a long time, began browsing. The information on the app was quite appealing to her. After a while, she clicked on Ming Siyu’s shopping cart.
She wanted to see if this “civilized beast” had anything scandalous in her cart.
The result disappointed her. Ming Siyu’s cart was unexpectedly clean. Aside from a few custom phone cases with text like “Good Health,” “Lend Me Another 500 Years from Heaven,” and “Free from Sickness and Disaster,” the remaining twenty-plus items were all various kinds of plush toys.
