Chapter 13: “Xiao Ran, Lift Your Dress Yourself, The Tail…”
Liu Ran was pinned by Ming Siyu onto a cool, soft mat. One side was open space, while the other was blocked by a cushion of the same material, smelling faintly of leather. Liu Ran guessed she was currently on a sofa.
Ming Siyu straddled her waist, her hands reaching for the wolf ears atop her head. In the process of being forced down, Liu Ran’s hat had long since been tossed aside, allowing those wolf ears to be easily captured into cool, clammy palms and squeezed into a bunch.
She heard Ming Siyu let out a trembling, suppressed sigh, something like a low “Ugh.”
It was a tiny sound, like a bubble floating to the surface and bursting.
Ming Siyu’s hands moved frantically over her ears—now gripping, now kneading. Her strength was heavy, causing waves of pain to pulse through the ears; it was entirely different from her usual toying. A surge of fear rose from the bottom of Liu Ran’s heart; the Ming Siyu before her felt like a stranger.
Ming Siyu was like an addict in the throes of withdrawal, desperately seeking a new fix. Liu Ran felt as though Ming Siyu wanted to rub the wolf ears right into her palms, to tear open the skin and mix flesh and blood together.
The sofa was narrow, and half of Liu Ran’s body hung in mid-air. This posture left her feeling extremely insecure.
She reached out to grab Ming Siyu’s hands.
“Ming Siyu! Calm down! What are you doing—”
Wearing the muzzle, her voice was muffled and indistinct, her saliva sounding sticky against the metal.
Sensing her fierce resistance, Ming Siyu paused for a moment, but she did not get off.
She answered with something completely unrelated: “If I let go, will you let me touch you obediently? If you don’t want to be kissed again, then don’t move… It will only take a moment.”
There seemed to be a faint, underlying anger in her voice.
Liu Ran couldn’t take the insult. She used some strength in her hands, preparing to flip Ming Siyu off her, and mumbled: “Do you think I’m afraid of you kissing me?”
It was just a kiss—not an execution or an amputation. It wasn’t a big deal!
At worst, she would just treat it as being licked by a dog.
She had thought Ming Siyu was just making a symbolic threat and would switch tactics once she realized Liu Ran wasn’t intimidated.
Unexpectedly, as soon as the words left her mouth, cool hands cupped her cheeks. Ming Siyu said with dissatisfaction, “Who put this muzzle on you?”
Liu Ran’s heart skipped a beat. Ming Siyu really was prepared to kiss her again. Fortunately, she was wearing the muzzle this time, otherwise Ming Siyu would have succeeded again. It turned out the muzzle wasn’t to stop her from biting people, but to stop people from “biting” her.
Just as she breathed a sigh of relief.
Her collar was yanked open, and warm lips pressed against her collarbone.
Darkness shut off her vision, magnifying her other senses several times over. Liu Ran’s eyes widened as she was forced to feel Ming Siyu’s kiss. She saw a faint glint of light reflecting off the other woman’s cold lenses, and hot, rapid breaths sprayed against the side of her neck.
Ming Siyu was very satisfied with her reaction. After the kiss, as if still craving more, she gave a light bite to Liu Ran’s collarbone before lifting her body slightly to create some distance. “It seems the little wolf will be savoring this for a long time again.”
Liu Ran’s fur puffed up instantly: “Savoring my foot!”
Ming Siyu was a lunatic! A pervert! A psychopath!
If she kept getting bullied so pathetically, she wouldn’t even be able to look at herself in the mirror. Liu Ran gripped Ming Siyu’s waist, intending to throw her off. Ming Siyu’s waist was incredibly thin; there was only a thin layer of flesh over the bone. Liu Ran felt a pang of shock as she held it, then thought: With the tiny amount of food Ming Siyu eats every day, even a random cat eats more than her. It would be strange if she wasn’t this thin.
But without muscle or fat to act as a buffer, falling would be very painful. This was Ming Siyu’s Group, Ming Siyu’s territory. If she really hurt Ming Siyu, there would be hell to pay.
Ultimately, Liu Ran didn’t throw Ming Siyu directly onto the floor, but pushed her back onto the sofa.
The moment she was pushed away, Ming Siyu lunged again to grab her ears. Liu Ran was already halfway off the edge, and with Ming Siyu’s pounce, she fell directly off the sofa. Her lower back slammed into something sharp and hard. Liu Ran was instantly numbed by the pain; her cry was stuck in her throat, and her features twisted into a grimace.
The waist is a wolf’s most vulnerable spot.
Just as she was about to curse Ming Siyu loudly, she heard a whisper in her ear: “Xiao Ran…”
There was a boom in Liu Ran’s brain.
Xiao Ran.
Ming Siyu called her Xiao Ran.
Her mother used to call her that all the time before she fell into a coma. Since her mother had been hospitalized, she hadn’t heard that name in years.
Years of memories pierced through the barriers of time and space, stabbing accurately into her heart.
The hand that wanted to push Ming Siyu away slowly and weakly fell. Liu Ran clenched her teeth, allowing whatever that hard object was to press into her back as if it were going to break her. “Uugh…”
Her nose felt sour; she really wanted to cry.
In the pitch-black room, soon only the sound of tangled breathing and aggrieved whimpers remained, occasionally mixed with Ming Siyu’s low whispers.
“Xiao Ran, don’t use the dress to hide the tail. Give it to me.”
“Be good, Xiao Ran. Listen to me.”
“Don’t tremble.”
Liu Ran only remembered saying one thing: I didn’t bring any suppressants.
Having her tail and ears toyed with easily induced heat and the release of pheromones. Ming Siyu was particularly bothered by this. So, when at home, Liu Ran would try her best to hold back her pheromones; if she really couldn’t, Ming Siyu would call Qi Zhen to give her a suppressant shot the moment she smelled the bitter orange scent.
But this time, when leaving the house, she hadn’t thought to bring any.
She also hadn’t known that Ming Siyu had called her all the way to the office just to do this.
Ming Siyu’s alarm went off. She fumbled for her phone to turn it off, stood up to straighten her clothes, threw on her suit jacket, and turned on the lights.
Adjusting her glasses, Ming Siyu looked at the flushed Liu Ran on the floor. Her gaze through the lenses cut like an ice blade:
“If you dare go into heat in my office, you’d better have already decided how you want to die.”
She was a completely different person from the one who had been softly panting in Liu Ran’s ear before the lights came on.
Being scrutinized with a gaze that looked at her like trash made Liu Ran feel a wave of physiological nausea. Ming Siyu was such a cold and heartless person only caring about her own comfort, only satisfying her own desires, completely disregarding how miserable Liu Ran was while bordering on heat. She didn’t even give her a moment to catch her breath before mercilessly swinging the blade of her words.
Liu Ran propped herself up and climbed off the floor. Half of her body felt numb. Once up, she realized the thing that had been digging into her waist was one of Ming Siyu’s high heels, with the heel facing up. No wonder it had been so painful.
Liu Ran picked up the shoe and wordlessly tossed it toward Ming Siyu’s feet, then sat on the sofa and turned her head away.
This was a suite. It was much smaller than Ming Siyu’s duplex, but the space was still spacious enough. Living room, bedroom, bathroom… it had everything. A semi-transparent wardrobe stood against the wall, hanging a few sets of clothes and shoes for Ming Siyu to change into.
She had guessed correctly; this was the lounge connected to Ming Siyu’s office.
An open pack of women’s cigarettes sat on the coffee table. Deep blue packaging. A few were missing.
If she smelled carefully, there was indeed a faint scent of smoke lingering in the air.
Ming Siyu put on her shoes. Her slender white wrist flashed in Liu Ran’s vision as she scooped up the cigarette pack. She skillfully pulled out a cigarette and leaned against the desk, holding the cigarette loosely between her fingers, though she was in no hurry to light it.
“I have a meeting soon. If you want to go back, I’ll have the driver take you. If you don’t, wait for me.”
