Becoming the Yandere Omega's Fluffy Pet - Chapter 1
Chapter 1: “Keep Her Leashed.”
The first one Ming Siyu initially chose was another beautiful Beta with large pink velvet ears, genetically modified with Fennec Fox genes.
As the researcher explained the purchase agreement, Liu Ran, whose throat was dry as if on fire from not having had water for too long, coughed lightly and accidentally nudged the bowl beside her sleeping mat. In the dimly lit, silent basement, the short noise precisely reached Ming Siyu’s ears.
The hand about to sign the purchase agreement paused and shifted its gaze toward the source of the noise.
Room number fifteen.
Calling it a room was generous; it was merely a stall sectioned off by concrete walls and glass doors, lined up like separated pens in a breeding farm. Each room was about four square meters, tiled on three sides with pure white ceramic. The side facing the corridor was a glass door. A pale, cold light hung from the ceiling of the room, reflected by the tiles, exuding an indescribable chill.
The rooms held “hybrids”—people fused with different animal genes—waiting to be sold.
Liu Ran was currently curled up in the corner of her room, tormented by thirst and pain. Heavy chains on her neck and limbs made her almost immobile. Her head was foggy, her face buried between her knees, and her mouth was sore and numb from the muzzle preventing her from closing it. Her large tail covered her body like a blanket. She had her back to the glass door, breathing heavily.
The tip of her ear twitched. Liu Ran snapped her eyes open.
The micro-friction of a high heel turning on the floor, followed by two unhurried taps of the heel, stopped right outside her door.
The woman, referred to as “CEO Ming,” softly read the profile taped to the door: “Liu Ran, Female, S-Class Alpha, Bitter Orange pheromone, fused with Arctic Wolf genes, possesses wolf ears and tail, acute hearing, sensitive sense of smell… Hmm, a perfect experiment subject. Not for sale?”
The researcher assigned to her immediately explained, his tense voice unlike his usual tone: “CEO Ming, she is for sale. The reason we didn’t recommend her at first is that, based on our comprehensive evaluation, we believed the Fennec Fox in Room 14 would better suit your needs, both in personality and appearance. The Arctic Wolf hybrid in Room 15 that you are currently looking at has a savage and vicious temperament, is difficult to manage, and has multiple records of injuring people. She has also been returned by two previous owners, so we usually have to keep her chained…”
Liu Ran listened as the researcher meticulously recounted all her flaws.
Say more. It’s best to describe her as a heinous wicked wolf so this CEO Ming retreats.
She did not want a third owner.
However, things did not go as planned. Ming Siyu interrupted the researcher, casually saying, “If a wolf is easily tamed, is it still a wolf?”
“Open the door.”
The researcher’s steps were hurried and flustered. He reached Liu Ran before Ming Siyu did. Liu Ran felt a sharp sting on her scalp. The researcher grabbed her hair and forcibly yanked her up from the floor. Her limbs were constrained by chains, forcing her to kneel on the ground with her face lifted up, facing a blinding white light. Liu Ran squinted her eyes to adjust to the sudden intense illumination.
The first thing Liu Ran saw were the six-centimeter-high, red-soled, black patent leather stiletto heels. Above that, black stockings encased straight, slender calves. A suit jacket was draped over her shoulders, and the collar of the white top underneath was sharp as a knife.
The clean, icy scent of post-blizzard perfume sliced through the suffocating, turbid basement air. Half-rimmed gold-wire glasses blurred the pitch-black pupils, reflecting the light but taking in no warmth, as if submerged in an eternal, silent night.
The soles of CEO Ming’s shoes were cleaner than the floor Liu Ran was on. Her exquisite and refined appearance was strikingly out of place in the underground laboratory, glaringly bright against the dirty, damp background, like a hard, poisonous thorn growing from a rotting rose.
The researcher reprimanded her in a low voice: “Be honest. Don’t move around.”
The woman looked down condescendingly. Her gaze rolled over Liu Ran’s entire body, only lingering longer on the wolf ears atop her head and the tail trailing behind her.
Leaning down, she crooked a finger and scratched Liu Ran’s chin like one would scratch a dog.
“The ears are good. The tail is damaged. Can it recover?”
She asked the researcher.
Liu Ran’s heart went cold.
“Yes, CEO Ming. If we apply the medication on time, it will heal soon. The new fur is guaranteed to be as beautiful and soft to the touch as the fur on her ears.”
Saying this, the researcher grabbed one of the wolf ears, made it stand up completely, and showed the woman the silver-gray fur, fluffy and soft like new snow, and the clean pink ear canal, in a flattering manner.
Liu Ran turned her head, snatching her ear back from the researcher’s hand in disgust. The collar scraped against the wound on her neck, and the chains let out a grating, sour screech with her movement.
The Empire’s laws had no clear regulations regarding “hybrids” like them, who were fused with animal genes. After all, from the beginning, they had “voluntarily” signed “Experimental Volunteer” agreements with the underground laboratory under various pretenses. The institute also nominally paid them a certain amount of “remuneration.”
Not long ago, the district where the basement rented by the lab was located was slated for renovation. The lab was preparing to relocate to the next city entirely. Today was their last day in City A.
Liu Ran had originally planned with a few other “hybrids” to seize the opportunity to escape during tomorrow’s transfer out of City A. The hybrid experiment was in a legal grey area. Although not explicitly forbidden, it wasn’t encouraged either. The lab wouldn’t dare to launch a massive search for them, so the possibility of regaining freedom after escaping was high.
But if this CEO Ming really intended to buy her…
Liu Ran’s gaze darkened.
CEO Ming seemed quite satisfied.
She switched to using three fingers to clamp Liu Ran’s chin, closely appreciating Liu Ran’s face. Although her face was crisscrossed with scars, they were only superficial. She could already imagine how stunning this face would be once healed. Paired with those two clumps of fluffy, dandelion-like wolf ears, she was slightly loath to let go.
“She’s the one. Draw up the contract again.”
The researcher looked at Ming Siyu’s expression while anxiously reminding her to reconsider: “CEO Ming, would you like to take another look at number 14? She’s very docile, currently our most obedient experiment subject. Although the texture is slightly inferior to number 15, it’s still very nice. You can feel it, interact with her…”
The researcher was silently weeping in his heart.
He was afraid of annoying Ming Siyu by saying too much, but he was also afraid that if he didn’t explain clearly enough and Ming Siyu was injured after taking Liu Ran home, they would be the ones in trouble. They could afford to offend those small, wealthy bosses—at most, they would pay some compensation. But they absolutely could not afford to offend the Ming Group. Many of the bosses they referred to as “CEO XX” still had to respectfully address Ming Siyu as “CEO Ming.”
Physically, Ming Siyu definitely couldn’t beat Liu Ran.
What did it matter if Ming Siyu was the Ming Group heir? Stripped of that title, she was merely a frail Omega. Liu Ran’s Alpha pheromones had a natural suppressive effect on her. For an owner, the pet having a suppressive effect was not a good thing.
He had witnessed Liu Ran’s temper. She was an S-Class Alpha with inherently high overall qualities, fused with Arctic Wolf genes. If a real fight broke out, all of them researchers combined wouldn’t be enough to handle Liu Ran. That’s why Liu Ran received “special care.” Other experiment subjects were free to move in their rooms, but Liu Ran had to be bound by several rusty chains.
The two previous owners who bought Liu Ran were equally stubborn, believing they could tame her. The result was that even after beating Liu Ran half to death, they failed to achieve their desired effect and eventually had to return her.
Ming Siyu was in a rather good mood because she was about to acquire a top-tier fluffy pet. She released the hand clamping Liu Ran’s chin and rubbed her fingertips as if wiping off dust.
A light laugh escaped her nose. In the pale white room, the sound was like a nightingale’s requiem suddenly sung in the quiet night, making it seem bizarre and eerie.
“I don’t like repeating myself. Understand?”
The researcher instantly stood at attention as if shocked by electricity. “CEO Ming, please wait. I will draw up the agreement immediately.”
In less than a minute, the new agreement was brought over.
Liu Ran coldly watched the woman scan the agreement in two seconds and sign at the bottom. “My assistant will transfer the funds.”
The price for buying Liu Ran was twenty-five million Empire Coins. The researcher would receive a five percent commission, which was an immense income for him. For a moment, he didn’t care about potential future trouble. His eyes were turning green when he looked at Ming Siyu.
Since Ming Siyu only brought one driver, the researcher, fearing Liu Ran might go crazy on the way, obtained Ming Siyu’s permission to give Liu Ran a small dose of muscle relaxant. This would allow her to walk but not have the strength to attack, ensuring she could be taken home honestly.
As the researcher injected the muscle relaxant into Liu Ran, Ming Siyu leaned down, her pale, slender fingers caressing the dried bloodstains on the muzzle.
Liu Ran was only about two inches away from the cool, reserved, half-rimmed gold-wire glasses.
She could even feel the shallow breaths gently washing over her face.
Ming Siyu declared her ownership: “I bought you. From today on, you are mine. You must only be loyal to me. Understand?”
The woman in front of her was clearly clean and beautiful, but Liu Ran felt a storm of nausea. She looked away. Her wolf ears instinctively flattened backward, and a low growl escaped her throat, baring two sharp canine teeth.
She had expected the woman, about to become her third owner, to show at least a moment of panic or confusion after she sent a clear “keep-away” signal. Instead, the other party’s expression didn’t change at all. Her finger threaded through the gap in the stainless-steel muzzle, and her fingertip quickly hooked the tip of Liu Ran’s canine tooth.
Liu Ran instantly felt the humiliation of punching cotton and then being molested in return by the cotton.
Just as she was hesitating whether to continue baring her teeth, she was slapped lightly but firmly across the face.
Ming Siyu finished the slap, looked at her, and said calmly, “First rule: You are not allowed to bare your teeth at your owner.”
The researcher was badly frightened and immediately stepped forward to discipline Liu Ran.
As his hand was raised, he suddenly felt like he was being stared at by a venomous snake, a sudden chill running down his spine. He looked back. Ming Siyu leisurely offered him a look. The researcher instantly realized that if his hand landed on Liu Ran, Ming Siyu would make today the last day he had hands.
Liu Ran was Ming Siyu’s property now.
He had no right to touch her.
The heavy, coarse chain around her neck was replaced with a thin stainless-steel collar. A leather leash was threaded through the ring in the center of the collar, and the other end was in Ming Siyu’s hand.
As she walked past room number 14, Liu Ran saw the pink and white fox ears droop listlessly. However, the person inside still smiled and waved goodbye to her.
The researcher crammed Liu Ran into Ming Siyu’s car, not forgetting to warn her in a low voice that being noticed by CEO Ming after being returned twice was her good fortune. He told her to take the hint: if she pleased Ming Siyu, she would have a good life ahead, but if she crossed Ming Siyu, she would have plenty of suffering.
On the way, the driver kept his eyes straight on the road. The car was spacious. Liu Ran and Ming Siyu were both in the back seat, separated by the space of one person. Liu Ran pressed herself against the car door, warily observing Ming Siyu’s movements.
After getting into the car, Ming Siyu mostly ignored her, focusing on reading messages on her phone, treating Liu Ran as if she were thin air.
After driving for a while, Ming Siyu took a call.
Liu Ran heard her affirm “Mm” a few times, then say, “I’ll be there in fifteen minutes.”
“Take me to the company first,” Ming Siyu instructed, looking down at her phone after hanging up.
The car stopped outside the headquarters of the Ming Group Entertainment division. The driver opened the door for Ming Siyu. After Ming Siyu got out, the driver awkwardly asked for instructions: “CEO Ming, this fluffy Miss you just bought…”
Ming Siyu frowned, glancing at Liu Ran’s dirty and torn clothes.
“Take her home. Have Little Qi clean her up.”
She paused, her gaze behind the glasses darkening.
“Keep her leashed.”
