Zhou Gangxun had a dream or rather, a premonition. He realized his wife was the “villainous shou” in a novel, and he was the “antagonist gong.” In this scripted life, his wife only stayed with him because he was a wealthy backup plan after being kicked out of the prestigious Ruan family.
The dream got worse: after Zhou went bankrupt, his wife, Ruan Zhijuan, couldn’t stand the poverty of a rental apartment and started an affair with a foreman from Zhou’s construction site. Then came the tragedy—Zhou suffered a horrific accident on-site that left him paralyzed from the waist down. The “lover” ran off with the insurance payout, leaving the penniless Ruan Zhijuan behind. Ruan shed a few crocodile tears, gave Zhou a kiss, and promised to stay. Zhou, ever the fool, believed him, selling his blood, his organs, and his very soul to provide.
But as soon as the money returned, so did the betrayal. His wife ran off again. He was played like a dog.
Now that he’s “awakened” to this plot, Zhou Gangxun has decided to fix the problem at the source: Kill his wife? (Maybe not.) Become the foreman himself? Definitely.

Ruan Zhijuan thinks his husband is acting very strange lately.
First: He stopped washing Ruan’s underwear (which is actually… kind of a big deal).
Second: He holds Ruan’s face like a trophy while stubbing out cigarettes on his tongue.
Third: At night, he stands in the bathroom covered in blood, butchering “meat” of questionable origin.
Fourth: He keeps trying to have deep, educational discussions about the “moral lessons” of slasher films.
Soon, Ruan starts seeing visions of himself being stuffed into the kitchen sink, a pressure cooker, and even the trash can…
The Bottom Line: I’m pretty sure my husband is trying to kill me, so I reported him to the police. However, I sold the murder weapon, the pressure cooker to buy two peaches. They were delicious. 10/10.
