Watching his “wife” grow up / A touch of marriage-first, love-later.
When Chu Nanzhen opened his eyes, he was already a beggar in the city. Though he possessed the striking, elegant features of a noble youth, he struggled to find enough to eat or wear. Still, he managed to live a carefree and unrestrained life.
That was until one day, after a failed attempt at begging, he encountered a transcendent, ethereal immortal on his way home. He barely spared the man a second glance before the immortal, without a word of explanation, knocked him unconscious and hauled him away.
When Chu Nanzhen woke up again, the immortal was standing right in front of him. To his horror, he found himself dressed in a scarlet wedding robe, being forced into a marriage with the stranger.
Chu Nanzhen: “???”

Above the cultivators are the Gods, and above the Gods, there once stood a kingdom known as Huazhao.
Years ago, the Crown Prince of Huazhao, Chu Nanzhen, was a peerless genius. His swordplay once stunned the world, drawing ten thousand clans to pay him homage.
Years later, Huazhao was annihilated in a single stroke. Overnight, the world changed. Chu Nanzhen lost all his memories and ended up wandering the mortal realm as a beggar.
Zhi Shiyi, the former Grand Preceptor of Huazhao, was a man of celestial grace and unparalleled beauty. He had watched Chu Nanzhen grow up from a young age, and the two later became closest friends. After the fall of Huazhao, he searched tirelessly for Chu Nanzhen.
Finally, he found him. The once high-spirited youth, who once stood above tens of thousands, was now covered in grime and dressed in rags. Holding a cracked bowl, he wore a flattering smile as he begged mortals for a mere mouthful of food.
Suppressing the dark obsession surging in his eyes, Zhi Shiyi maintained an elegant, gentle smile. The thousands of thoughts racing through his mind eventually condensed into a single sentence: “Tie him up and bring him back for the wedding.”
At first, Chu Nanzhen felt he must have owed a debt in his past life, or else why would he be haunted by a lunatic like Zhi Shiyi? He was just a beggar; who had he ever provoked?
Later, he realized he really did owe a debt. …A debt of the heart.
