Back to My Human’s Teenage Years - Chapter 35
Jin Manman was backed into a narrow corner by Shi Rang. His trousers were halfway down, and his tail had already been released, held unceremoniously in Shi Rang’s firm grip.
Though the haze of alcohol had mostly cleared, Shi Rang still felt a wave of dry heat rushing through him. He stared down at the tail in his hand, playing with it in silence for a full minute before letting out an abrupt, low laugh. He looked up at Jin Manman, who was visibly flustered.
“You little liar.”
That was quite the accusation. The little orange cat shook his head aggrievedly. “No, I’m not.”
“Not what?” Shi Rang pressed him intentionally. “Not a little liar? Or not lying to me on purpose?”
Jin Manman looked like he was about to cry from the injustice. “I didn’t mean to lie to you. We… we cat-people aren’t allowed to let humans find out who we are.”
As he spoke, the tip of his orange tail gave a placating rub against Shi Rang’s palm. Unfortunately, Shi Rang maintained his cold, stoic facade, clearly unmoved by the bribe.
He tilted his chin, his expression detached as he looked down at the boy. “Then why tell me now?”
Jin Manman pouted. “Because you’re not ‘someone else’.”
Shi Rang was finally pleased by those words. A smile touched his lips as he scooped Jin Manman up by the rear and leaned in to pepper his lips with kisses.
Such a good baby.
Jin Manman pushed against his chest, struggling to speak. “Then… do you, do you like kittens?”
Shi Rang laughed and leaned down to give Jin Manman’s nose a punitive little nip.
“Baby, I like you.”
Therefore, it didn’t matter what he was. As long as it was Jin Manman, it was enough.
Jin Manman’s eyes seemed to cloud over with mist, and he instinctively reached out to wrap his arms around Shi Rang’s neck. He pulled himself up, pressing his lips against Shi Rang’s.
The light in the room was flicked off by someone, plunging the space into instant darkness. Shi Rang was stunned for a split second when Jin Manman first kissed him, but he reacted quickly, taking the initiative. He cupped Jin Manman’s chin and deepened the kiss inch by inch.
The sounds of their intimacy were starkly audible in the enclosed space. For the first time, Shi Rang’s kiss was fierce and demanding, his hand clamping around Jin Manman’s waist to prevent any retreat. He was like a wolf devouring its prey, wishing he could swallow the boy whole.
Jin Manman’s eyes grew red, a single tear hanging from his lashes, making him look utterly pitiful. At this moment, however, he received not a shred of mercy from Shi Rang. Instead, his vulnerability only drove Shi Rang further. A hand slipped beneath the hem of his shirt, reaching his chest.
As he teased him, Shi Rang watched the boy’s distraught expression and quirked his lips with interest. “Baby,” he coaxed, “take off your trousers yourself.”
One by one, the clothes fell to the floor.
Though the room was dim, the moonlight from outside allowed Shi Rang to see the stunning scene before him. The boy’s skin was like the finest white jade, nearly dazzling in its paleness. Atop his head were two cat ears, trembling slightly, and behind him was an orange tail tentatively curling around Shi Rang’s wrist.
He was timid, yet intoxicating.
Shi Rang supported Jin Manman’s rear, letting the boy’s legs straddle his waist. He leaned down to kiss away the tears on the boy’s lashes, his voice sounding incredibly husky.
“It hasn’t even started yet. Why are you crying?”
Jin Manman didn’t know why. He sensed that Shi Rang wouldn’t hurt him, yet his animal instincts filled him with a primal fear. He shook his head blankly, his tears falling even harder as his body instinctively tried to back away.
In this moment, any attempt at retreat was the final straw that broke the thread of Shi Rang’s fraying sanity. His eyes grew dark, and a low, unreadable chuckle rumbled in his throat.
In the next instant, he carried Jin Manman toward the bed. It was the large, soft bed they usually shared—plenty of room for Jin Manman to roll around without falling off. But for the first time, Jin Manman felt the space was too cramped, making it hard to breathe.
He lay back on the bed with Shi Rang hovering over him, hands braced on either side, looking down at him. Whether out of a sudden lapse in judgment or sheer terror, Jin Manman actually opened his mouth and let out a soft “Meow.”
The room went silent for a beat before Shi Rang burst out laughing.
“Manman is a very good kitten, right?” Shi Rang said leisurely. “You have to be obedient. No crying.”
Unfortunately, the “good little orange cat” had no control over his tears. His muffled whimpering lasted deep into the night.
When his tail got wet, Jin Manman felt even more wronged, sobbing as he clutched the fluffy limb. It was the first day he had ever shown his tail to Shi Rang, and it had already become so messy; the little orange cat was devastated.
He tried his best to wipe the tail with his hands, but it was soon pulled away by Shi Rang and replaced with a different kind of “tail.”
Jin Manman’s pale fingers recoiled as if they’d been burned. Shi Rang narrowed his eyes and issued a blunt threat. “Either use your hands, or give me your back.”
Hearing the latter option, Jin Manman reacted like he’d been struck by an electric current. The tips of his ears stood straight up, and tears began to plop down again.
“It’s… it’s broken,” he slurred.
His backside was broken, and the kitten was broken, too. Shi Rang remained unmoved, leaning forward in a silent threat. Jin Manman shed a couple more tears before finally reaching out to close his hand around him.
It wasn’t until dawn that Shi Rang finally carried Jin Manman to the bathroom. The boy was limp in his arms, showing no reaction regardless of how he was moved. Shi Rang’s heart felt soft and tender; he leaned down and couldn’t resist planting another kiss on the boy’s cheek.
Jin Manman’s skin was so delicate that even a slightly firm kiss left a red mark. Seeing this, Shi Rang guiltily added a few more soft kisses on top.
Mwah, mwah, mwah.
Anyway, Jin Manman was going to scold and hit him tomorrow regardless might as well get a few more kisses in while he could.
It was three days later before Jin Manman finally got his phone back.
Shi Rang walked in with a bowl of congee to find Jin Manman sitting on the bed, shirtless and wrapped in a small blanket, playing on his phone. His shoulders were exposed, revealing skin mottled with faint red marks.
With just one look, Shi Rang felt his throat go dry again. He took a deep breath, forced himself to look away, and set the congee on the small table. The moment he moved, Jin Manman’s head snapped up warily. He clutched his blanket tighter, staring at Shi Rang with round, wide eyes.
Shi Rang laughed at the sight and took the phone away. “Your eyes are so swollen and you’re still playing with this. Eat something first.”
At the mention of that night, Jin Manman was full of rage. He puffed out his cheeks and clenched his small fists. “It’s all your fault! I cried and begged you, but you didn’t care at all.”
Not only did he not care, he’d actually pushed harder.
Shi Rang gave a hypocritical promise. “Baby, I won’t do it again. I’ll listen to everything you say from now on.”
Jin Manman stayed silent, his eyes downcast. Shi Rang sat beside him, subtly reaching out to wrap an arm around the boy’s waist and pull him into his chest. Then, in a coaxing voice, he said, “Come on, baby. Let me see those ears.”
Jin Manman turned his head away. “No.”
Over the past few days, Shi Rang had treated those cat ears like snacks, biting them whenever he felt like it. That was Jin Manman’s most sensitive spot; one bite and he’d go limp, leaving him at Shi Rang’s mercy.
Since he couldn’t see the ears, Shi Rang settled for the next best thing. “Then I’ll feed you.”
Jin Manman hesitated. “Okay, then.”
As for what “benefits” Shi Rang managed to sneak in while feeding him, that was his own business.
After a bowl of congee, Jin Manman’s appetite was piqued. He licked his lips and made a bold suggestion. “Can I have hot pot? Very spicy and numbing.”
Shi Rang’s lips quirked. His hand moved down to squeeze Jin Manman’s rear as he said leisurely, “You can handle spicy food?”
Jin Manman’s body stiffened. He pouted. “I hate you.”
Shi Rang frowned slightly and pulled him tighter, leaning in to give the boy’s ear a gentle kiss. “Don’t say things like that.”
Jin Manman stayed silent. Half a minute later, he mimicked Shi Rang, leaning over to kiss the older boy’s ear. His voice was soft and sweet. “I was lying just now, Shi Rang. I like you so much.”
Shi Rang scooped him up and walked toward the door, his gaze deep and his voice dropping to a husky register.
“Jin Manman, I know.”
I know you like me. And.
“Baby, I love you.”
What a sweet ending to their youth!
