Synopsis:
Wen Yishu is a company researcher who was on a business trip with a group of experts, flying to an island near a major city. She never imagined the apocalypse would come so abruptly. Just a few days after her flight landed, all the plants and animals in the world mutated, and humans began to mutate as well, turning into monsters merged with animals.
She was isolated on the huge island, with danger lurking in the surrounding waters, and no hope of ever returning to the mainland. The island is riddled with danger: food shortages, gigantic plants sprouting through concrete and steel, viciously mutated animals and plants, extreme cold and heat, insect plagues, and strange beasts all follow in a continuous onslaught. As countless people die and countless others mutate, Wen Yishu’s body also undergoes a change.
When she was convulsing with a high fever and believed she was about to die, she heard a heated argument outside her door. Her usually kind-faced department head wanted to dissect her alive for research before she could fully mutate. But her team leader, Bai Mi, who had always been extremely cold to her, stood firmly in the doorway to block him.
Just before the department head broke down the door, Wen Yishu awakened her superpower.
