Li You is a Beta. After nine years of dating and three years of what everyone believed to be a marriage, he reaches the twelfth year of his relationship with his Alpha husband, only to discover that the man he loves has betrayed him.

But whenever he regains even a brief moment of clarity, he is overwhelmed with disgust toward the person he has become, until he finally attempts to destroy himself with a shard of broken glass.
When he awakens again, brilliant sunlight shines through the window.
Lin Xun is no longer the arrogant and overbearing man he once was. Kneeling humbly before Li You, he lowers his pride completely, pleading with him to stay alive. He promises to set him free, yet in countless moments of unwillingness, his eyes redden with desperation as he quietly begs,
