Song Xingyou was notorious for his bad temper. As the young master of a top-tier wealthy family, his life had been smooth sailing pampered like a precious pearl and treated like jade. In his world, there was nothing he couldn’t obtain without even trying.
The only exception was his childhood friend, who went abroad without taking him along. Furious and drunk, Song Xingyou declared to the world: from now on, every time he saw that man, he’d beat him until his face looked like a blooming peach blossom.
But when he woke up, he had turned into a stray calico cat on a university campus. The little calico was thin, small, and cowardly. He was bullied by other cats every day and relied on the charity of students just to get a meal.
The first thing Song Xingyou did after becoming a cat was look down at his anatomy. Thank God, he thought, I haven’t been neutered. The second order of business was to scratch that idiot, Lu Jingchuan, to death but there was no rush. First, he had to go find some students and secure a few cans of premium cat food.
Anyone familiar with Lu Jingchuan knew that if you could offend anyone, you absolutely shouldn’t offend Song Xingyou. As the crown prince of the Lu Group, Lu Jingchuan possessed wealth, power, and influence. He was blessed with both looks and brains, a recognized investment genius who returned from his studies abroad to take over the reigns of the conglomerate.
On the surface, he was cold and unreachable, but even a fool could see his blatant double standards. Since their one-year-old “Zhuazhou” ceremony, Lu Jingchuan didn’t grab the official seal or the abacus; he grabbed Song Xingyou and refused to let go. He had willingly been Song Xingyou’s devoted follower for over a decade, protecting him like a treasure. If Xingyou wanted the stars, he wouldn’t dare offer the moon. He’d even be happy to go out in the middle of the night just to accompany the boy to “pick up trash.”
That was until the eve of his adulthood. Following family tradition, he was forced to go abroad for three years. (Those three years abroad were the most unforgettable seven years of his five-year plan.) He rushed through his graduation to return home, but instead of seeing Song Xingyou, he was met with a head-on attack from a scrawny calico cat.
The cat swung its paws in a flurry of “meow-attacks,” but it couldn’t even scratch through his trousers. Lu Jingchuan was originally going to leave, but when he locked eyes with the cat’s fiery, indignant gaze, he felt compelled to squat down: “Do you want to come home with me?”
During the days Song Xingyou spent being raised by Lu Jingchuan, life was blissfully comfortable. He ate the best canned food, drank the most expensive water, and lived on top of Lu Jingchuan’s head, acting like a little tyrant. The word “restraint” didn’t exist in his dictionary.
Every day, he watched Lu Jingchuan who looked expressionless but was actually nervous sending messages to “someone.” The cat would lick his paws, narrow his eyes dangerously, and then lazily flop over in a fake act of cuteness. Hmph, come and pet me! he thought smugly. Trying to flirt with your ‘wife’? As long as I, the Cat Knight, am here, you’ll never catch him!
Until one day, when Lu Jingchuan picked him up again to take photos to flirt with his “wife,” Song Xingyou lost his patience. He slapped Lu Jingchuan with a paw and roared: “Take, take, take! All you know is taking photos all day long! If you’ve got nothing better to do, go open a can of food for me!”
Song Xingyou: Wait something feels wrong.
The beautiful little calico transformed back into a naked young master, though he still sported a pair of pretty cat ears and a long, fluffy tail. Song Xingyou tried to hit him, but he was afraid the hit would only give the man pleasure.
From then on, the house was filled with cat cans, treats, and scratching posts. Even the curtains were chosen specifically for their “scratch-ability.” However, the windows were sealed shut, sharp furniture corners were wrapped in sponge, and the floors were covered in thick wool carpets.
The man would never let Song Xingyou out of his sight for more than ten minutes. Even when Xingyou went to the bathroom, Lu Jingchuan would stare at him so intensely he might burn a hole in his back his eyes filled with dark, terrifying, unreadable emotions.
Later, the Cat Young Master stumbled into a hidden room. It was filled with photos of him from childhood to adulthood. The man slowly and methodically locked the door behind them, his gaze fixed on the young master with pure obsession. He sighed in genuine admiration: “Good job, baby. You actually found this place.”
The young master puffed out his chest: “Of course!” Wait, no!!!
