- After Transmigrating into an ABO World with My Rival
- Chapter 3 - Going Home with Fu Tingyue
Fu Tingyue lived in a high-end villa district. If this had been the old Chen Yanzhi, he surely would have looked down his nose at it, mocking Fu Tingyue for living in such a “shabby” place.
But now, his eyes sparkled as he pressed his face against the car window. Every time they passed a beautiful, elaborate villa, he couldn’t help but let out a “Wow!”
After a while, Chen Yanzhi lost interest and turned to ask Fu Tingyue, “Do you live with your family?”
If Fu Tingyue suddenly brought him home, his family would surely investigate him. How would they explain it then? After all, his current identity was just a statusless milk tea shop worker; there was no way he should know a wealthy heir like Fu Tingyue.
Seeing the unease in Chen Yanzhi’s eyes, Fu Tingyue smiled to reassure him. “I live alone. They don’t live here.”
Chen Yanzhi breathed a silent sigh of relief. “That’s good. Otherwise, it would be impossible to explain to your parents.” He still didn’t know how Fu Tingyue’s parents in this world treated him, but he hoped they were good people.
The car drove into the villa’s parking garage. Chen Yanzhi got out and walked side-by-side with Fu Tingyue. Although his clothes looked ordinary, his natural aura made the relatively cheap fabric look like a designer brand. He didn’t look out of place at all standing next to Fu Tingyue. After all, he was a genuine young master before coming here; that kind of presence was cultivated from childhood and didn’t change just because of his clothes.
Aside from the driver and bodyguards from earlier, Fu Tingyue’s house only had three servants: two men and one woman, all around forty years old. They looked quite kind, but Fu Tingyue was cold toward them. Chen Yanzhi didn’t strike up a conversation and simply followed Fu Tingyue upstairs.
The house was large. While not as big as his original home, it was a mansion to the current Chen Yanzhi.
Fu Tingyue took him to the master bedroom on the second floor and handed him a set of his own clothes. “Take a shower first. I’ve already ordered some clothes to be sent over for you.”
Chen Yanzhi took the clothes and held them up against himself, unable to hide his jealousy. “Why are you taller than me in this world, too?”
Moreover, the Fu Tingyue here was exceptionally tall, likely around 190cm. Chen Yanzhi wasn’t even 180cm yet. The original owner of his body had suffered from malnutrition, so growing this much was already a miracle. Standing next to Fu Tingyue, he looked like a child.
Fu Tingyue suppressed the urge to rub Chen Yanzhi’s head and smiled. “I’ll make sure you’re well-fed. Maybe you can still grow a bit more.”
Chen Yanzhi gripped the clothes casually and looked up. “Definitely. The original owner only stayed short because he was skipping meals. If you serve me big meals every day, I’ll surely grow.” He might not catch up to Fu Tingyue, but reaching 180cm should be possible; he had been that tall originally.
Fu Tingyue nodded in agreement, and Chen Yanzhi finally headed to the bathroom.
However, Fu Tingyue’s clothes were far, far too big. The pants were unwearable, as was the underwear. He had no choice but to throw on just the shirt, going “commando” underneath. Even the disposable slippers were comically large.
He walked out awkwardly, shuffling in the slippers while drying his hair with a towel. “Fu Tingyue, I can’t wear these pants at all…”
Hearing his voice, Fu Tingyue turned around, and his pupils shrank instantly.
Chen Yanzhi’s body was very thin, but his skin was luminously pale. The wide collar of the shirt fully exposed his perfect collarbones. Because the shirt was so oversized, it reached down to his mid-thigh, playing a game of peek-a-boo with his straight, white legs.
Despite the hardships he’d faced, the hot shower had given his skin a faint pink flush, making him look like a ripe, juicy peach. Combined with his irritable expression, it created a sudden desire in others to conquer him. Yet, because his eyes were so large, he looked innocent and pitiable even when he was annoyed. He was devastatingly tempting.
Fu Tingyue snapped back to his senses, his gaze darting around frantically as he began to stutter. “They’re… they’re too big?”
Chen Yanzhi didn’t notice anything was wrong and continued to complain. “Yeah! I can’t wear the underwear, and the pants are too long. It’s not comfortable at all.”
Fu Tingyue’s breathing hitched. “You’re not wearing underwear?”
Chen Yanzhi was wearing his shirt with nothing underneath. More importantly, he had zero defenses against him. Either fact was enough to make Fu Tingyue lose control. He clenched his fists and bit the tip of his tongue to force himself to stay focused, gradually calming his surging pheromones.
Fortunately, Chen Yanzhi was a Beta, or he surely would have been terrified by the pressure.
Chen Yanzhi frowned in confusion. “What’s going on? I felt a bit stifled just now.”
Even though Betas can’t smell pheromones, Fu Tingyue’s sudden aura had a natural suppressive effect on him, which was why he felt uncomfortable. But Chen Yanzhi didn’t know this; he just patted his chest, assuming he was simply exhausted.
He waved it off and sat down in a nearby chair, his legs spread apart. “Like I said, I can’t wear them. Your underwear is too big; it’s uncomfortable.”
As he sat, the shirt rode up, nearly exposing his backside.
Fu Tingyue’s brow twitched violently. He grabbed a nearby jacket and handed it to Chen Yanzhi, feigning a calm, brotherly concern. “Cover up a bit so you don’t catch a cold. Your clothes will be here soon.”
Chen Yanzhi didn’t take the jacket. He crossed his legs and said, “I’m not cold. It’s hot out, and it’s just the two of us. It doesn’t matter if I don’t wear much.”
They had even bathed together when they were kids; there was nothing he hadn’t seen. Besides, what was there for two guys to be shy about?
Fu Tingyue didn’t force him to cover his legs, but he said earnestly, “You can’t do this in front of others. In this world, it’s not strange for men to be together. Even as a Beta, men will be attracted to you. Besides, a top-tier Alpha’s pheromones can be very oppressive to a Beta.”
Chen Yanzhi looked at him blankly. “But that’s other people. You don’t like guys. And there are plenty of straight people in this world too, right? It’s not all same-sex couples.”
Fu Tingyue avoided the main point. “Gender isn’t categorized that way here…”
Chen Yanzhi cut him off. “I know. But that has nothing to do with me not being able to wear your underwear. And I’m only doing this in front of you. I’m not a pervert who runs around outside like this.”
“I was just worried you didn’t know and wanted to remind you.” Fu Tingyue hung the jacket back up and said softly, “I’m going to shower. Just sit for a bit.”
Chen Yanzhi waved him off. “Go ahead.”
Before Fu Tingyue finished his shower, Chen Yanzhi’s new clothes arrived. He found a set of a T-shirt and shorts and put them on. Just as he finished, Fu Tingyue stepped out.
Chen Yanzhi touched the fabric of his new shirt and smiled. “This material is so much better. You have no idea how bad the quality of the original owner’s clothes was; I even got a rash.”
He had been raised delicately; 100% polyester clothes were bound to give him an allergic reaction. He wondered if the original owner had the same problem.
Fu Tingyue immediately grew tense. “Is it better now?” He had been so busy looking at Chen Yanzhi’s legs earlier that he’d forgotten to check for rashes.
Chen Yanzhi smiled, showing two round dimples. “It’s been fine for a while. I spent a ‘fortune’ on a few slightly more expensive pieces and used some ointment. It cleared up in a couple of days.”
Fu Tingyue relaxed. He ran a hand through his hair and asked, “Hungry? I’ll take you down for dinner.”
Chen Yanzhi stomped his foot and clicked his tongue. “Finally! I haven’t eaten since this morning. I’m starving.”
“Don’t be a stranger with me,” Fu Tingyue said, leading the way out.
Chen Yanzhi rubbed his nose and muttered softly, “It’s just been so long since we saw each other, I felt a little embarrassed to say it.”
He didn’t know why he felt that way just a bit shy about being direct. Maybe he was afraid Fu Tingyue would tease him for being hungry.
Fu Tingyue suddenly stopped and turned to look at him, his expression serious. “Zhizhi, in this world, the two of us are family. Don’t be a stranger. You can tell me anything.”
Chen Yanzhi rarely saw Fu Tingyue so serious. He nodded blankly. “I know. I won’t do it again.”
It was true. The two of them were family now. If he couldn’t even trust Fu Tingyue, who else was there to believe in?
