After Transmigrating into a Scummy Alpha, I Became a Tool Person - Chapter 2
The next morning, Xie Yinian woke up, washed up, and made herself a simple breakfast—toast with a fried egg, washed down with milk.
After eating, she started packing her things. The important items went into her suitcase; the rest she left behind.
As she squatted on the floor sorting her luggage, something in the corner caught her eye. She stood up, walked over, and bent down to pick it up.
In her hand was something that looked like a syringe. She turned it over, studying it curiously, until she spotted a small label that read “Inhibitor.”
Oh, so this was an inhibitor.
According to the book she had landed in, both Alphas and Omegas experienced heat periods. When it happened, their bodies would grow unbearably hot—like having a high fever—and the only way to relieve it was through certain unspeakable acts. It was, in short, a natural aphrodisiac episode.
Alphas didn’t go into heat very often—about once every six months—but Omegas were different. Theirs came monthly and lasted about a week.
During heat, both Alpha and Omega pheromones would become so potent that even suppressants couldn’t fully conceal them. That was what inhibitors were for—to ease the symptoms and mask the pheromones.
Omegas also had low fertility; successful conception was rare and only possible between partners with a perfect 100% compatibility rate.
In this world, Betas were the only ones without pheromones or heat cycles. They were also the most numerous—ordinary, fertile, and stable—just like regular humans from her original world.
Out of curiosity, Xie Yinian wondered what her own pheromone smelled like. She touched the suppressant patch on the back of her neck and gently peeled it off. A faint milky fragrance spread in the air—sweet and soft, like fresh milk.
It actually smells nice, she thought, amused.
After reapplying the patch, she packed up the spare inhibitors and patches, zipped up the suitcase, and left.
She hailed a taxi and told the driver her destination, then leaned back in her seat, scrolling through her phone.
Her newly created Weibo account still displayed the chibi avatar she’d drawn with a mouse the night before. A few comments had already appeared under her first post.
【Wow! So cute! This is amazing—snatching it away.】
【The art style feels so cozy. I love it!】
【Have you considered making a comic? It’d be such a waste not to with this art style.】
Xie Yinian typed back: 【I’ve been thinking about it. Already started working on one.】
【Looking forward to your work!】
【+1! Can’t wait!】
The car soon pulled up in front of a villa. Xie Yinian paid the fare and got out. The driver went around to the trunk, helping her lift out her suitcase.
“Thank you,” she said politely.
“No problem,” the driver replied with a friendly smile before driving off.
Xie Yinian looked up at the sprawling villa and couldn’t help but sigh. Rich people really do live differently. The place was massive, and judging by the design, it must’ve cost a fortune.
She pressed the doorbell.
Inside, Xia Qiqi—who had been sipping tea and watching TV—heard the chime. She got up, glanced at the security monitor, and seeing it was Xie Yinian, unlocked the gate.
When the door opened, Xie Yinian found herself face to face with Xia Qiqi in home clothes and froze for a second.
Without a word, Xia Qiqi lowered her gaze and said, “Place your finger here to record your fingerprint. It’ll make it easier for you to come in later.”
Xie Yinian nodded and did as told.
“Beep-beep. Fingerprint successfully registered.”
Then Xia Qiqi handed her two spare keys. “The door code is ******. If you forget, use this key to unlock it. This one’s for your room.”
“Okay.”
Xie Yinian took the keys and followed Xia Qiqi inside.
The living room was spacious and modern, tastefully decorated in a minimalist style.
As Xia Qiqi went upstairs, Xie Yinian hefted her suitcase and followed.
At the end of the hallway, Xia Qiqi pointed to a room. “This one’s yours.”
“Got it.”
After Xie Yinian entered the room, Xia Qiqi turned and left.
The room was a bit dim, so Xie Yinian switched on the light. Inside was a neatly arranged single bed, a wardrobe, a shelf, and a computer desk. Everything was simple and clean, decorated in shades of gray.
She unpacked, set up her laptop on the desk, pulled out a chair, and sat down to continue the unfinished illustration from yesterday.
After sketching the outlines digitally, she searched for fabric references to refine the folds in the clothing.
Just then, someone knocked on the door. Since it wasn’t locked, she called out, “Come in.”
A woman in her forties entered with a warm smile. “Madam, lunch is ready. Miss Xia asked you to come downstairs.”
The word Madam made Xie Yinian pause for a second—then she remembered: right, she and Xia Qiqi were legally married now. The title wasn’t exactly wrong.
She glanced at the clock—around noon. Perfect timing.
“Got it. I’ll come down after I tidy up a bit.”
The housekeeper nodded and left.
After shutting her laptop, Xie Yinian organized the scattered sketches on her desk. She often found drawing on paper more inspiring than on a screen.
As she gathered the sheets, one was caught by the breeze and drifted to the floor. She bent to pick it up—and froze.
On the paper was a small fox with an aloof, haughty expression, its arms crossed. The resemblance to a chibi version of Xia Qiqi was uncanny.
It had just been a random doodle, but seeing it now, she thought it looked surprisingly good.
She set the drawing on the desk, deliberately placing it where it would catch her eye. Something nice to look at when I’m bored, she thought.
When everything was in order, she went downstairs to the dining room. Xia Qiqi was already seated, eating quietly.
“Hey,” Xie Yinian greeted with a smile.
“Mm.” Xia Qiqi replied mildly, still focused on cutting her steak.
Xie Yinian took a seat across from her. “Wow, this looks amazing.”
“Jiang Yi made it,” Xia Qiqi said.
Jiang Yi—the housekeeper.
Xie Yinian smiled. “She’s got great skills.”
Jiang Yi happened to emerge from the kitchen just then, ready to leave for the day. Hearing the praise, she beamed. “Eat plenty, Madam.”
“Of course,” Xie Yinian said enthusiastically, taking a bite. Her eyes lit up. “This is delicious, Jiang Yi! You’re incredible!”
Jiang Yi laughed shyly. “Then I’ll be heading out now.”
“Bye-bye!” Xie Yinian waved.
Once Jiang Yi left, the room fell quiet again.
Xie Yinian cut into her steak, glancing across the table. She had to admit—Xia Qiqi was stunning. There was an old saying that fit perfectly: a feast for the eyes.
That cool, fair skin. That slender figure. Every bit of her was unfairly perfect.
Today, Xia Qiqi wore a loose beige sweater with slim gray pants. Her sleek black hair cascaded neatly down her back.
She didn’t notice Xie Yinian’s gaze, eyes lowered as she ate.
Xie Yinian found herself wondering—what does she look like when she smiles? Must be gorgeous.
Their eyes met unexpectedly. Startled, Xie Yinian turned her head away, ears burning. “The food’s really good,” she blurted.
Xia Qiqi, used to these meals, didn’t find them special—but she did notice the pink tips of Xie Yinian’s ears. Her brows lifted slightly in curiosity.
“W-what’s wrong? Do I have something on my face?” Xie Yinian stammered. Why does the female lead have to be this beautiful? Totally unfair.
“You have a grain of rice,” Xia Qiqi said, pointing at her own cheek.
“Oh.” Xie Yinian quickly brushed her face, finding the culprit and removing it. “Is there still something?”
“No,” Xia Qiqi replied simply.
Seeing her attention return to her plate, Xie Yinian finally relaxed.
What’s wrong with me? Since when do I blush this easily? she thought helplessly. It’s all her fault—for being this good-looking.
