After the Scumbag Alpha Heard her Inner Thoughts - Chapter 54
While on a business trip in South City, Su Wanqing fell in love with the climate there.
The air was humid and soft, the breeze gentle—not at all like the dry winds of North City.
When work wasn’t too busy, she would sometimes fly down just to enjoy a short vacation.
Even further south from South City was Yun City, known for its warm temperatures and the famous Yunhai Lake—a perfect winter getaway spot.
It took over a year for Lanqing to successfully go public.
The company grew bigger, with its staff multiplying several times over, and they even moved into a new office building.
Now, they were much closer to Hengyang’s headquarters.
Ji Yu had officially become Lanqing’s company manager, learning to run things much like Chu Muqing once did—relaxed, hands-off.
Meng Yu, after professional training, was hired as Ji Yu’s assistant.
The two of them were now officially together.
At first, Su Wanqing wasn’t a fan of office romances.
But as time went on, Meng Yu proved far more rational and professional than she had expected, so she stopped interfering.
After Lanqing’s successful listing, Chu Muqing proposed that they hold a wedding ceremony.
But Su Wanqing wasn’t interested.
By now, one was the boss of Hengyang, the other the boss of Lanqing—
The relationship networks in North City were tangled and complicated.
If they hosted a wedding, many would attend not just to offer blessings, but to seek closer business ties.
The blessings would be real, but so would the hidden interests.
Su Wanqing couldn’t say whether that was right or wrong—
She just didn’t like it.
Chu Muqing didn’t mind either way.
Her only worry was that without a wedding, Su Wanqing might feel wronged.
Su Wanqing pretended to be aggrieved, complaining that she had suffered enough—
after all, their divorce had been messy, and there were still people who believed Chu Muqing had dumped her.
So she made a new proposal:
A wedding trip to a remote island, where Chu Muqing had to listen to her every word—east meant east, and west was absolutely forbidden.
When she heard the idea, Chu Muqing could only let out a bitter laugh.
Honestly, she already listened to Su Wanqing most of the time…
It was just that sometimes, well—only sometimes—she didn’t.
Like when she was told to slow down.
Or to sleep on the sofa.
For the island trip, Su Wanqing’s first rule was simple:
Complete abstinence. No touching. They were to sleep like monks every night.
Unexpectedly, Chu Muqing agreed without hesitation.
Her smooth reaction was so suspicious that Su Wanqing started wondering if she was being set up.
But throughout the journey, Chu Muqing stayed true to her word.
Whatever Su Wanqing asked, she did.
They spent a week at Yunhai Lake, then moved on to Yancheng.
Although Yancheng wasn’t a seaside city, it had its own charm—they toured the local museum and even visited a famous matchmaking temple.
There was no fixed itinerary.
They simply wandered wherever the mood took them.
Ji Yu would occasionally send a message to check in.
Recently, she had designed a few new outfits and wanted Su Wanqing to review them before moving into production.
Su Wanqing looked over the photos and didn’t see any major problems.
But Ji Yu insisted that photos weren’t enough; she needed to see the actual samples.
That same day, she shipped them by express delivery.
On their last day in Yancheng, Su Wanqing was waiting for her delivery.
The two of them were lounging around the hotel, resting.
Chu Muqing was idly flipping through maps.
“Where do you want to go next?” she asked.
“Let’s head to Jiangcheng,” Su Wanqing said, glancing at the screen.
“Or… we could just go home to North City.”
“Had enough traveling?” Chu Muqing asked.
Su Wanqing shook her head. “There’s too much to see to ever finish…
But I’ve got some inspiration now. I think it’s time to head back to work.”
They chatted casually back and forth, when suddenly there was a knock at the door.
“That must be the delivery,” Su Wanqing said.
“Let’s check it, and then we can head home.”
Chu Muqing stood up and walked toward the entrance.
A waiter handed over a package.
“Miss Chu, this is your delivery.”
“Thank you,” Chu Muqing said as she took it.
The package felt light, not like clothing. Chu Muqing pinched it and asked,
“Baby, shall I open it for you?”
“Okay!”
While tearing open the outer packaging, Chu Muqing walked back toward the bed and casually said,
“This feels pretty thin. Isn’t it a little early for your summer collection?”
When she reached the bedside, she had already torn off the outer layer. Inside was a non-transparent white bag.
Standing in front of Su Wanqing, Chu Muqing pulled out the garment and shook it open.
In an instant, the two of them froze in place.
Su Wanqing’s pupils trembled. She pointed at the garment and exclaimed,
“Chu Muqing! You bought this?!”
Chu Muqing narrowed her eyes and countered,
“What do you think?”
Seeing Chu Muqing’s expression, Su Wanqing gritted her teeth and growled under her breath,
“Ji Yu!”
No wonder Ji Yu hadn’t let her check the delivery earlier, claiming there wasn’t enough time. It had been intentional!
“Since the package is already here,” Chu Muqing said as she shook out the garment, “why waste it?”
“We agreed — plain clothes only!”
Su Wanqing stared at the item in Chu Muqing’s hand. It was bright red, resembling butterfly wings from afar, with two pairs of wings overlapping at the front and back, tied at the neck with a ribbon. Could a few scraps of fabric like this even be called clothing? What could it possibly cover?!
“Baby, you meant plain clothes during the trip, right?” Chu Muqing remained calm, picking at the loophole.
“If it weren’t for waiting for this package, wouldn’t we have gone back yesterday?”
Su Wanqing followed her reasoning and realized it was true.
“Then doing something now wouldn’t be breaking any rules, right?”
Su Wanqing saw no issue and nodded.
“Then, would Baby try it on?”
“Wait, no!”
Seeing Chu Muqing approach her with the garment inch by inch, Su Wanqing’s mind snapped awake.
“I don’t want to!”
Even after so many times, she still wasn’t used to being naked in front of Chu Muqing.
Chu Muqing advanced slowly, her knees already on the bed.
“Baby, I want to see you,” she murmured.
“What’s there to see?”
“Baby, please… Look, I’ve been so good these past few days, haven’t I? I’ve behaved and not done anything.”
“Shouldn’t Baby give me a little reward?”
“You’ll look stunning in this red. It will highlight your fair skin so beautifully.”
“Please, Baby.”
As she spoke, Chu Muqing deftly untied the garment’s ribbon. Although she had never seen this outfit before, she seemed to know exactly what to do.
Unable to resist Chu Muqing’s persistence, Su Wanqing spread out her arms, allowing her to fasten the ribbon around her.
The outfit was simple to put on. After it was tied, Chu Muqing carefully looked her up and down.
Su Wanqing sat kneeling on the bed. The top part of the garment barely covered her chest, and the bottom just passed her waistline, with the two “wings” resembling butterfly wingtips.
If she stood up, it might just barely cover the essential parts.
Su Wanqing looked down, hands covering the front of her body.
“What kind of clothing is this?”
Chu Muqing wrapped her arms around Su Wanqing’s waist, her voice tender and full of affection.
“Baby, don’t you look beautiful?”
The vibrant red of the garment burned like fire, and, just as Chu Muqing had said, it made her pale skin appear even more luminous — like it had been dusted with pearl powder — soft, delicate, and flawless.
Chu Muqing leaned against her shoulder, gently nuzzling it. She released a small, deliberate wisp of pheromones near Su Wanqing’s scent gland, just enough to make her shiver.
Then, she encircled Su Wanqing’s waist with her other hand and pressed her down onto the bed.
Su Wanqing tried to say something but was quickly silenced by Chu Muqing’s fierce and urgent kisses.
After half a month of restraint, Chu Muqing still knew exactly where Su Wanqing’s weaknesses were.
It didn’t take long before Su Wanqing’s cheeks flushed pink, a thin sheen of sweat forming on her skin.
Sensing her reaction, Chu Muqing slowed her kisses.
Taking advantage of the brief pause, she reached out and turned up the temperature in the room.
The request to abstain wasn’t out of fussiness — it was all Chu Muqing’s fault.
Once she started something, it never ended in just two or three days.
Afterward, Su Wanqing’s body wouldn’t have been able to endure sightseeing, which was why she had made the request in the first place.
Now, having visited three or four cities, having seen everything she wanted to see, and having collected two or three pages of inspiration in her notes, she found herself once again facing the person she loved.
This time, Su Wanqing didn’t refuse her. She hooked her arms around Chu Muqing’s shoulders and moved with her.
The effect of that outfit on Chu Muqing was no less than that time at the floor-to-ceiling windows, from behind…
Su Wanqing had never seen Chu Muqing act so fiercely.
Within her limits, Chu Muqing pushed to the fastest pace.
Su Wanqing didn’t last long.
When everything was over, she felt a bit frustrated with herself.
Why was I… so quick?!
Chu Muqing gave her time to recover.
She grabbed a tissue from nearby, wiping her fingers leisurely, her eyes never leaving Su Wanqing.
Su Wanqing was covered in a sheen of sweat, strands of hair clinging to her skin.
Her chest heaved lightly, and the blush on her face had yet to fade.
The outfit had been torn to shreds, its remnants scattered across the bed.
Chu Muqing finished cleaning her hands, then wrapped her arms around her from behind.
“Baby~”
Su Wanqing, after catching her breath, swatted her hand away, her voice a little hoarse,
“Shut up.”
They held each other in silence for a while before Chu Muqing spoke softly.
“Shall we take a bath?”
“Yeah.”
Chu Muqing reached for some clothes, got out of bed barefoot, and walked around to Su Wanqing’s side.
She slipped an arm around Su Wanqing’s waist and lifted her into a bridal carry, heading toward the bathroom.
Su Wanqing didn’t even have the strength to wrap her arms around her shoulders, barely managing to lean against her to avoid falling.
Near the bathroom door was a half-length mirror.
Chu Muqing set her down gently on the nearby cushioned chair.
Squatting down in front of her, Chu Muqing’s gaze burned so hot it felt like it could bore a hole through her.
“Baby~”
Even with her toes, Su Wanqing could guess what Chu Muqing was planning.
She pressed a hand firmly against Chu Muqing’s shoulder.
“No!”
Chu Muqing held her by the waist, her tone incredibly firm.
“Baby, trust me — you’ll like it.”
Su Wanqing: “……”
Barely ten minutes later, Su Wanqing felt as if several hours had passed.
Her body trembled uncontrollably.
Chu Muqing pulled her into her arms, gently patting her back in comfort.
After a few minutes, Chu Muqing’s hand slid down, gripping her thigh, and effortlessly lifted her up.
Just like carrying a little cub, she carried her into the bathtub.
Su Wanqing slid down into the warm water like a fish, resting her arms on the edge of the tub to avoid slipping under.
“Go rinse your mouth,” Su Wanqing reminded her.
Chu Muqing crouched beside the bathtub and said,
“No need, Baby. I don’t mind.”
“Shut up.”
Thankfully she bathed every day — otherwise, even she would find herself unbearable.
“If you don’t rinse, don’t ever kiss me again,” Su Wanqing warned her coldly.
“You may not mind, but I do.”
Unable to argue, Chu Muqing obediently washed her face and brushed her teeth thoroughly in front of her, going through the full routine.
Meanwhile, the hot water made Su Wanqing drowsy.
After carefully timing it, Chu Muqing scooped her up from the tub, placed her back on the bed, and then took a quick five-minute shower herself.
By seven o’clock that evening, the two of them finally settled down to rest.
