Xie Shi is an employee in the Scum-Scum Department of the Space-Time Matchmaker Bureau. His daily job is to persuade runaway protagonist shous back into scum-shou novels.
One day, in a cultivation novel, he encounters Song Yan, the protagonist shou who had just fled to the desolate and perilous Barrens.
Song Yan is a succubus with stunning, otherworldly beauty and a constitution naturally brimming with allure. He clings to Xie Shi, his breath sweet like orchid blossoms:

I didn’t want to fall for him either, but he called me Husband!
Xie Shi turns around, shields Song Yan behind him, and glares at the protagonist gong:
“What do you mean, your Dao companion? This is my wife!”
It is just that this wife seems somewhat different than expected.
Song Yan rubs Xie Shi’s aching waist, gently coaxing him:
“Husband, you’ve worked hard.”
Oh, it is indeed very hard.
Xie Shi thinks with tears in his eyes: I only knew he called me Husband, I didn’t know he actually wanted to top me!
