Yu Weinian has a gorgeous face but a notorious reputation for “picking flowers.” For him, the thrill of the chase fades as quickly as it comes; none of his boyfriends have ever lasted more than a month. Having just ended a relationship, he was prepared to settle down for a while.
That was until orientation day, when he met a handsome, cold, and aloof freshman junior: Bai Yinqing.
The good news: He’s exactly Yu Weinian’s type. The bad news: He’s supposedly a straight man and a severe homophobe.
But to Yu Weinian, that was just a minor hurdle. He immediately launched a fierce romantic offensive, making such a scene that the entire university knew about it. No one expected that the difficult Bai Yinqing would actually be caught. What was even more bizarre was that Yu Weinian actually went public with the relationship—reporting his itinerary on time, letting Bai Yinqing check his phone, and even stopping his frequent visits to bars.
Month after month passed, and they still hadn’t broken up. Everyone praised Bai Yinqing’s “skills,” believing he had actually reformed the playboy and turned the scumbag into a devoted lover. Just as everyone thought they would make it to the end, Yu Weinian proved that old habits die hard. Just like before, once he got bored, he proposed a breakup.
He never imagined he would crash and burn so spectacularly.
Night after night, Yu Weinian’s consciousness was never truly sober. At a mere touch, his reaction was visceral. With glassy eyes, he reflexively whispered: “I… I will love you forever.”
“What a beautiful lie,” Bai Yinqing said, his face devoid of emotion. Unfortunately, he would never believe it again.
Yu Weinian regretted it a thousand times over—he should never have provoked Bai Yinqing. He thought Bai Yinqing was a pure-hearted puppy, but beneath that cold exterior was a mad dog that, once it bit down, would never let go.
