Synopsis:
In her previous life, Lu Shinian was a hopeless romantic. She wasted her best youth on a scumbag, foolishly believing she had found true love. On the eve of their engagement, she discovered that he had long been involved with her supposed best friend. They betrayed her together, and she died tragically in a truck accident.
In this life, Lu Shinian vowed to start over and focus on her studies. When the scumbag poured out a false confession of love, she slapped him across the face.

Later she discovered that Yu He’s cold and distant act was only a mask. Secretly, she cried all night over a single mistake on a test. Lu Shinian knew because Yu He cried in her arms.
Eventually Yu He came closer to her, face flushed, and whispered,
“Lu Shinian, I want to be closer to you.”
Lu Shinian smiled softly.
“What a coincidence. So do I.”
Everyone at University A knew Professor Yu was a prodigy in mathematics. She was quiet and reserved, dedicated entirely to numbers, like a machine built only for research.
At one lecture, someone boldly asked,
“Professor Yu, it is said you have always been single. Are you planning to dedicate your life to mathematics and never marry.”
Yu He replied calmly,
“My wife would not agree to that.”
One sentence, two meanings. The entire hall was in shock.
After the lecture, someone saw Professor Yu in the hallway. The famously composed scholar was flushed red, pinned in the arms of a beautiful woman. The cool professor stammered shyly,
“Not here. We are still outside.”
The woman gently lifted Yu He’s chin with her fingertips and spoke with soft reproach.
“Have you forgotten about me, your girlfriend, Professor Yu.”
