After My Nemesis Discovered My Cross-dressing - Chapter 3
At six o’clock in the morning, Gu Qian opened his eyes and reached out to press the alarm clock on his nightstand. He pulled back the covers, got out of bed, changed into a black tracksuit, and headed downstairs to exercise.
In the gym of his high-end residential complex, there were not many people this early. Only a few scattered individuals occupied different functional areas. Gu Qian stepped onto a treadmill and began an incline walk. After thirty minutes, he stopped. Just as he stepped off the machine, a bottle of mineral water appeared beside him out of thin air.
He looked up following the direction of the bottle, and a clean-cut, fair-skinned stranger’s face came into view.
“He, hello, my name is Chu Qi.” Stared at by those beautiful light-colored pupils, Chu Qi’s face flushed visibly. “I bought an extra bottle of water. Would you like to have it?”
“Thank you,” Gu Qian’s tone was cold, yet polite. “No need.”
He picked up the white towel draped nearby, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and prepared to leave the gym.
Chu Qi pulled the water back but continued to strike up a conversation persistently. “Um, I noticed that you often come to the gym to exercise in the morning. Are you also a resident here?”
The moment the words left his mouth, he realized he had said something redundant. This gym was not open to the public; no one except the residents of the complex had the authority to use it. In fact, he had moved here not long ago. Last Tuesday morning, while passing the gym, he accidentally brushed past the handsome man in front of him. It was love at first sight, so he began waking up early every day to come to the gym to try and create a “chance encounter.”
However, this handsome man was far too focused on his workout, ignoring everything around him. Chu Qi had tried to talk to him several times without success. It was only today that he gathered the courage to test the waters.
Gu Qian glanced at him, his words as sparse as gold: “Yes.”
Chu Qi pressed on, asking, “I think your muscle definition is really good. Could you teach me?”
Even while wearing a strictly covered black tracksuit, one could tell that the muscles hidden beneath the fabric were lean and firm without being exaggerated. Coupled with that perfect face, it was simply mesmerizing.
Gu Qian declined, “I am sorry, I do not have time.”
“It is okay. You can teach me whenever you are free; I am not in a hurry.” Chu Qi pulled his phone from his pants pocket. “How about we add each other on WeChat first?”
Gu Qian’s tone was flat: “I did not bring my phone.”
This was not an excuse used for rejection; he truly had not brought his phone.
“Okay then,” Chu Qi’s face was full of disappointment, but he sensibly stopped pestering him. “Then let us talk about it next time.”
Anyway, they lived in the same residential complex. There would be plenty of opportunities to meet in the future.
Returning home, Gu Qian took off his sweat-soaked sportswear and went to the bathroom to shower. At seven-ten, Gu Qian stood before the full-length mirror in the walk-in closet, tied his necktie, put on his suit jacket, and casually picked a wristwatch for his wrist.
Before he was ready to head out, the phone on the table vibrated. Gu Qian reached out, picked up the phone, and entered WeChat.
After finishing their chat last night, he had not logged out of his secondary account in time. Early this morning, he received a greeting from the Top Donor.
Y: “Good morning, the weather is nice today.”
The second to last message was from the other party praising him for looking good in a dress last night, which he had not replied to. Gu Qian only took a glance before habitually switching back to his primary WeChat account and leaving for the office.
At eleven o’clock in the morning, Qin Yue sat at his desk and opened his secondary WeChat account once again. This account was registered temporarily last night and had only one person added to it. He clicked into their dialogue box, looked at his unreplied soliloquy, shook his head, and smiled. “So cold.”
If it were a normal streamer, they would not be this cold to the Top Donor after suddenly receiving a large donation, right?
The fountain pen spun a few times between his slender fingers. Qin Yue put down his phone, opened his computer, and clicked into an encrypted folder. Inside this folder was a row of files, including videos and documents, named with different numbers.
Qin Yue clicked into one of the video files. A cold and handsome face appeared on the screen. Beautiful light-colored pupils gazed at the camera, and pale red lips opened and closed. Even without the volume turned on, he knew what the other person was saying.
This was a rare video of Gu Qian accepting a media interview after taking office. President Gu’s actions were world-shaking, yet he was incredibly low-profile as a person. In the past two years, it had been difficult for media lenses to capture his figure. Qin Yue felt that collecting these videos had no other meaning; it was merely a case of “knowing yourself and knowing your enemy ensures victory in every battle.”
His gaze moved down, landing on Gu Qian’s hand holding the microphone.
That hand was truly excessively beautiful. The fingers were long and straight, with joints flushed slightly red. The neatly trimmed nails were also pink. The bulging veins on the back of the hand, however, indicated that it was not weak. This was a hand that possessed both beauty and power, and it was the pair of hands that best fit Qin Yue’s aesthetic among all he had ever seen.
Perhaps because he had held the microphone for a long time, that hand had sweated. The faint small mole between the fingers of the ring finger became moist and red. The image easily brought to mind some scandalous scenarios.
Qin Yue’s throat moved slightly. With a “snap,” he closed the computer.
That is right. He should not have recognized it incorrectly.
Over the next few days, Gu Qian continued to leave early and return late as usual, quickly putting that night’s small interlude out of his mind. It was not until Friday night, after finishing his late-night email replies, that he remembered there was still a donation to be returned.
Gu Qian logged onto the livestreaming platform and sent a private message to the platform administrator.
77: “Hello, how can I return a donation to a platform user?”
Admin 03: “I am sorry, dear. A refund for a donation requires the user themselves to apply for it.”
77: “There is no need for the user to apply. I will refund the full amount myself.”
Admin 03: “That is not possible, dear. The platform rules state that the user must apply. As for whether a donation can be returned, it depends on the donor’s identity and the specific situation. If you need it, I can send you a detailed explanation.”
Admin 03: “It is suggested that you resolve this privately with the user.”
77: “Understood.”
At the end of the day, every platform has its own operating rules. Once rules are broken, it brings uncontrollable consequences. Gu Qian did not want to make things difficult for the administrator and was too lazy to fuss over this matter anymore. He was about to log off the platform but paused.
He had not livestreamed for several days. Since he had already logged into the platform, he might as well broadcast for a while before sleeping. He went to the walk-in closet, picked out a green dress, and started the livestream after changing.
Within a minute of starting the broadcast, the livestream room exploded with magnificent “Carnival” special effects. The bullet comments also quickly erupted into a frenzy.
“Holy crap! Is the Top Donor this fast?!” “Ahhh, our Qiqi is finally doing well! There is actually a donor who consistently drops Carnivals! I am so moved, boohoo,” “Holy crap, holy crap, it is still exploding! This is truly inhumane wealth! Who on earth is this sudden Top Donor?”
Gu Qian: “…”
He watched the screen coldly without speaking. The Carnival special effects in the livestream room continued to explode endlessly. Since dropping a Carnival triggers a scrolling announcement across the entire platform, viewers from other livestream rooms were also attracted, and the number of people grew larger and larger.
“Which streamer is this? How come I have never seen them before?” “Holy crap! Is the Top Donor in this room really not a shill?” “Ahhh, a new wife has appeared! Heavy breathing”
Gu Qian knitted his brows, reached out for the phone on the table, opened WeChat, and switched to his secondary account. His secondary account only had the Top Donor added. Upon entering, he saw several unread messages.
At the beginning, Y had sent him a few messages but received no response. For the following two days, he had stopped sending them.
77: “Stop dropping gifts.”
The other party replied very quickly, almost instantly.
Y: “Finally willing to reply to a message?”
77: “Yes, I replied.” 77: “Stop dropping gifts.”
Y: “Okay, I will stop.”
Qin Yue stopped his hand from dropping gifts as promised. After the screen-wide special effects cleared up, he could finally see the person in the camera clearly.
77 was wearing a long green dress today. The dark green complemented the fair, smooth skin, making it look even more like lustrous jade. The camera was cut off at the waist. The form-fitting silk outlined a slender, firm waist that looked as if it could be gripped with one hand.
Qin Yue narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze once again fixing on the hand holding the phone. In the next second, he clicked on the screen recording and recorded the livestream content.
Seeing that the number of people in the room was only increasing, Gu Qian only broadcasted for a few minutes before quickly ending the stream. Just after ending the broadcast, a message from the Top Donor popped up on WeChat again.
Y: “Why did you end the broadcast so quickly?”
77: “I did not want to broadcast anymore.”
Gu Qian thought for a moment and decided to speak plainly.
77: “No matter what you want to get from me, it is impossible to obtain. So, do not waste your money.”
Y: “I am happy to give you gifts; I am satisfying myself.” Y: “This is what I can get from you.”
Gu Qian knew this person was not quite right. Everyone was an adult, especially among adult men; he was very clear about what they were thinking. These days, few people were willing to play at “pure love.”
Y: “Of course, if you could occasionally reply to my messages, I would be even happier.”
77: “That is all?”
Y: “That is all.”
Gu Qian’s fingertips tapped the tabletop. He clicked into the other party’s profile and found that Y’s Moments were set to be visible for only the last three days. It was hard to judge if the other person was using a secondary account like him.
At this moment, the other party sent a new message.
Y: “What made you think of livestreaming on this platform?” Y: “I mean, you do not accept donations, so it is not to earn money, right?”
77: “To release pressure.”
Y: “Understandable. I also have small activities to release pressure.”
77: “What?”
Y: “Shooting.” Y: “You can experience it if you have the chance.”
Gu Qian raised an eyebrow slightly and changed his posture.
77: “How do you know I have not experienced it?”
Y: “My apologies, it was my narrow-mindedness.” Y: “So, do you also like shooting?”
77: “It is alright.”
Y: “Then what do you like?”
Gu Qian looked at the text in the dialogue box. He was briefly lost in thought for a few seconds before returning to normal.
77: “No hobbies in particular.”
Y: “Does livestreaming in women’s clothing count?”
77: “Does it?”
Y: “As long as you like it, it counts.”
The two chatted back and forth for a few moments. Gu Qian looked up at the time; it was almost twelve o’clock.
77: “It is late. I am going to sleep.”
Y: “Okay, sleep early.” Y: “Will you still talk to me when you wake up tomorrow?”
77: “If I do not talk to you, are you going to drop Carnivals in the livestream room again?”
Y: “It is over. I have already been seen through by you.”
77: “Stop dropping them. The platform’s commission is high.”
Y: “Okay, I will listen to you.”
Gu Qian did not reply to this message again. He put down his phone and went to the walk-in closet to change back into his usual bathrobe. As he lay down on the bed, he received one last new message.
Y: “Goodnight and sweet dreams, Qiqi.”
After sending the final message, Qin Yue exited WeChat and entered his photo album to check the screen recording from earlier. The recording was very short, lasting only a few minutes. After watching it, he pulled the progress bar back again.
When President Gu appeared before him, he was always impeccably dressed, even covering his neck tightly. Except for the hands, no other parts could be matched.
If he had the chance to see Gu Qian’s body with his own eyes, he would be able to confirm whether they were the same person after all.
