- Chapter 4 - Despicable Tactics!
“Huff… huff… huff!”
Accompanied by the sound of hurried breathing, a figure was sprinting down the hallway.
Bang!
The door to Class 18, Grade 11 at Shengying High School was suddenly slammed open, startling the teacher and students mid-lesson.
An Alpha with dyed yellow hair barged in. The teacher recognized him instantly, it was Huang Hao from Class 8, a notorious troublemaker.
Currently, Huang Hao’s eyes were bloodshot and his clothes were in disarray. Looking utterly disheveled and frantic, he roared, “Jiang Xingyuan, get out here!”
After escaping from the clubhouse, Huang Hao had rushed to the school in a fit of rage without stopping for a single second. His eyes scanned the room relentlessly, desperate to drag that bastard Jiang Xingyuan out immediately.
“What?”
Who was Jiang Xingyuan?
The teacher didn’t have much of an impression of that name. It didn’t seem like there was a student named Jiang Xingyuan in this class, had he come to the wrong room?
Seeing Huang Hao standing at the door with clenched fists, looking like he was having a manic episode with a hideous expression, the teacher immediately blocked him. “You’ve got the wrong place. There’s no one by that name in our class.”
However, before he could finish his sentence, there was a knock at the door.
“Reporting in, Teacher.”
The boy’s voice was clear, carrying a lazy trail at the end.
The classroom fell silent. The entire class turned toward the sound and saw a silver-haired youth leaning bonelessly against the doorframe. With his shoulders slumped, he looked like a total delinquent.
“Who are you?”
The boy looked up, his eyes curving as he gave a stunningly beautiful smile.
“I’m the new student in this class.”
The teacher was momentarily dazzled by the smile and froze. How did he not know there was a student like this in his class?
“What’s your name?”
“I’m Jiang Xingyuan.”
Jiang Xingyuan didn’t blame the teacher for not recognizing him. First, he had only transferred a couple of days ago, second, he usually spent the entire lesson sleeping without ever lifting his head.
“Yo, why are you here? You got here pretty fast.”
Noticing Huang Hao in the classroom, Jiang Xingyuan wasn’t surprised at all. “Are you looking for me?”
Wasn’t that obvious?
The veins on Huang Hao’s forehead throbbed as he glared death at him.
Seeing that Huang Hao didn’t speak and only stared with a dark expression, Jiang Xingyuan found it boring. He tried to walk right past him. “Sorry, let me through.”
The classroom aisles were narrow. With several people standing there, the path was completely blocked.
Looking at Jiang Xingyuan’s fearless attitude and thinking about what happened last night, Huang Hao clenched his fists. He wanted nothing more than to tear Jiang Xingyuan to shreds.
Suddenly, Jiang Xingyuan stopped in front of him, his eyes sweeping over him. “What? From the look on your face, are you planning to hit me?”
That face, beautiful yet aggressively sharp, suddenly leaned close, making Huang Hao freeze. But he quickly noticed the expression on Jiang Xingyuan’s face, it was exceptionally punchable.
Huang Hao took a deep breath. “Don’t think I won’t dare to hit you.” His knuckles cracked loudly.
Jiang Xingyuan tilted his head and raised an eyebrow, mocking him with total confidence. “Sorry, you actually don’t dare.”
Huang Hao was so angry his breathing became unstable. A vicious light flashed in his eyes as he raised his fist, ready to teach the guy a lesson.
The moment the fist was raised, everyone closed their eyes, fearing for the new transfer student. He was truly bold, provoking the school’s most famous troublemaker right after transferring.
But Huang Hao’s fist didn’t fall.
“Wait.”
“Are you really sure you want to punch me?” Jiang Xingyuan said. “I guarantee that the moment your fist lands, your secrets including those photos, will spread across the entire internet instantly. If you aren’t afraid, then go ahead and hit me!”
Hearing this, Huang Hao seemed to hit a pause button. He stood frozen, his raised hand hanging in mid-air. He blinked, looking a bit dazed. Aside from those photos, Jiang Xingyuan knows other secrets?
Wait, he almost forgot! Dammit, Jiang Xingyuan took his phone last night.
Then he reconsidered. He was usually cautious, he had deleted everything on his phone that should have been deleted. Jiang Xingyuan was probably just bluffing!
That was very likely. Once he realized this, Huang Hao cleared his head. A murderous look flashed in his eyes as he grabbed Jiang Xingyuan’s collar and said menacingly, “What secrets do I have? Say it if you’ve got the guts! If you can’t, I’ll make you taste my fist today.”
He was determined to teach Jiang Xingyuan a lesson!
Despite being grabbed by the collar and threatened, Jiang Xingyuan remained unperturbed. He even frowned a bit as if troubled. “Do I really have to say it? I feel a bit embarrassed for you…”
Huang Hao was convinced it was a bluff. If he really had something on him, he would have said it already instead of waiting until now. “If you’ve got the guts, say it!”
Seeing that Huang Hao refused to believe in “ghosts” until he saw them, Jiang Xingyuan shrugged helplessly. “You’re the one who asked. Don’t regret it.”
“On the night of March 28th, at the Blue Mountain Road racing competition, Zhou Yu lost because you tampered with his car.”
Jiang Xingyuan’s voice echoed through the classroom. The entire class held their breath. Wait, isn’t Zhou Yu Huang Hao’s brother? No wonder the “God of Racing” lost that match, he was backstabbed by his own bro!
Huang Hao’s pupils shook. “You’re lying…” His voice was weak and pale.
“And on April 3rd, around 2:30 PM, you stayed in the Duke Hotel for over two hours with a lady named Bai Wei, engaging in ‘in-depth’. ”
Before Jiang Xingyuan could finish, his mouth was suddenly covered.
“Enough!”
Huang Hao’s face was now ghostly pale, his eyes frantic. He was no longer calm. How did Jiang Xingyuan know about that?!
The class was listening with great interest and felt unsatisfied when he was cut off. Only the teacher looked surprised, the name “Bai Wei” sounded familiar…
Suddenly, it clicked, and his heart skipped a beat. Last month, Huang Hao was called in for a fight and his guardian came. That woman seemed to be named Bai Wei, but her identity was Huang Hao’s stepmother.
Of course, it could just be a coincidence of names…
Suddenly, the way he looked at Huang Hao became very strange.
Jiang Xingyuan brushed Huang Hao’s “ugly hand” away and spat several times, frowning. “Fine, I won’t say it. Don’t be so excited.” He calmly straightened his crumpled collar. “You can’t blame me, you’re the one who told me to speak.”
However, Huang Hao was paralyzed with terror and didn’t hear a word. He only wondered how Jiang Xingyuan knew those things! He thought he had done them perfectly! What scared him even more was that he didn’t know how many more of his secrets Jiang Xingyuan held. His hands and feet went cold.
Ignoring the probing gazes of the crowd, Huang Hao lowered his head in submission. “Xingyuan, I apologize. Can we go out and talk?”
His tone and attitude had done a complete 180 degree turn.
Seeing Huang Hao acting so humble, the students of Class 18 knew that everything Jiang Xingyuan said was true. It seemed this transfer student was not someone to be messed with. It was just a pity Huang Hao cut him off so quickly, otherwise, they could have heard more gossip.
Suddenly, the way everyone looked at Jiang Xingyuan became much more fervent.
Jiang Xingyuan felt the gazes like spotlights on him and felt a secret thrill. If he didn’t act a little cool now, he’d be wasting the atmosphere!
“Huang… Huang Hao, right? Sorry, it’s class time. I can’t skip class.” Jiang Xingyuan tilted his chin up with an arrogant look. “I’ll talk to you when I’m free.”
Meanwhile, he was trying his hardest to keep the corners of his mouth from twitching upward. He couldn’t break character now, or his “coolness factor” would drop!
Huang Hao’s face stiffened, but he didn’t dare say anything else, fearing he would provoke the other into blabbing all his secrets. He walked out of the room looking like he’d lost his soul.
Jiang Xingyuan returned to his seat and flipped through his book under everyone’s gaze.
After this battle, Jiang Xingyuan formerly an anonymous transfer student, instantly made a name for himself at Shengying, covered in a layer of mystery.
After class, Huang Hao finally waited until Jiang Xingyuan was free and intercepted him in a secluded area. “Jiang Xingyuan, give me back my phone. I’ll give you whatever you want.”
Seeing this, Jiang Xingyuan smirked. He wanted a lot of things. He tossed the phone directly to him.
Huang Hao caught it, stunned. It was that easy?
“It’s fine. I have a backup.”
Huang Hao’s face turned ugly, and he took a deep breath. “I want to know who is trying to screw me over.”
Jiang Xingyuan smiled. “Don’t worry, I won’t be the one to spread those things.”
Huang Hao calmed down. He looked at Jiang Xingyuan and betrayed his employer without hesitation. “It’s Brother Chao.”
Jiang Xingyuan’s brow arched. “Who’s Brother Chao?” He thought for a moment but didn’t recall offending anyone by that name.
“Brother Chao is Zhang Qiming’s cousin.”
The moment that name was mentioned, Jiang Xingyuan remembered. It was that idiot whose head he had smashed, the son of Director Zhang. No wonder they were looking for trouble.
However, he wasn’t a soft bun who would let people calculate against him for nothing. Jiang Xingyuan’s philosophy was: “If people don’t cross me, I won’t cross them.”
“If you want me to keep my mouth shut even tighter, do something for me.” A smile spread across Jiang Xingyuan’s face.
Looking at that smile, Huang Hao felt his heart tremble with fear.
Evening, at the abandoned teaching building.
Xie Chao’s phone suddenly vibrated with a message: [Son, Daddy is waiting for you in Room 305~]
At the same time, the door to Room 305 was kicked open.
A tall Alpha barged in, stopping the butterfly knife he was spinning. When he saw the person in the room, he frowned. “Why is it you? Where’s Jiang Xingyuan?”
Huang Hao’s face was pale, his voice trembling with panic. “I’m sorry, Brother Chao… Jiang Xingyuan forced me.”
As his voice fell, a cloud of white powder flew into Xie Chao’s face.
Xie Chao immediately closed his eyes, but despite his quick reaction, he still got hit. He suddenly staggered, his limbs going weak, and he collapsed to the ground, cursing, “Come out! What kind of skill is an ambush? If you’ve got the guts, fight me one on one!”
Hearing the cursing, Jiang Xingyuan walked out wearing a gas mask.
“I don’t have skill, and I can’t beat you in a fight.”
Xie Chao was stunned. He didn’t expect Jiang Xingyuan to be so blatantly shameless.
Suddenly, he felt a wave of heat rising in his body. Realizing his physical reaction, he stiffened and roared in rage, “You despicable thing, what did you use on me?!”
“Don’t worry, the ingredients are totally safe. Just flour and chili powder, plus some veterinary aphrodisiac and anesthetic. I had no choice, the stuff for humans is a controlled substance, I couldn’t buy it.”
Jiang Xingyuan said it casually.
Xie Chao was shocked and incredulous. What despicable tactics!
Jiang Xingyuan took the opportunity to quickly strip the other’s clothes off.
Feeling a chill below, Xie Chao’s pupils dilated. “You pervert, get away! Don’t touch me!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t do anything to you! My sexual orientation is perfectly normal.”
Jiang Xingyuan explained patiently while seriously posing the other man.
“Hey, don’t be mad. Come on, give me a smile, be happy. Anyway, you aren’t the only victim.”
He quickly snapped a series of chaotic photos. “These were the tactics you guys were planning to use on me. I’m just returning the favor.”
Jiang Xingyuan didn’t understand why these people felt they had the right to be angry when he hadn’t even said anything yet!
“Heh, talk about double standards.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll perfectly record your unsightly state.”
Xie Chao’s cheeks were flushed. He felt humiliated and was fuming with rage as he stared at the shameless person in front of him.
“Jiang Xingyuan, do you know who I am?!”
“Oh, who are you?” Jiang Xingyuan pouted, his tone flat.
His hands didn’t stop, in fact, he got even more into it, taking photos from all sorts of weird angles.
Xie Chao was infuriated by Jiang Xingyuan’s indifference and roared through gritted teeth, “Jiang Xingyuan, you bastard! I, Xie Chao, will never rest until you’re destroyed!”
Hearing that roar, Jiang Xingyuan’s hand paused.
Wait, Xie Chao…
He scratched his head. Why does that name sound so familiar?
