Qi Jia is sick, amnesiac, and has no idea who he is. The only facts he can grasp are:
-
He is a tiny, chubby “Chirper” (a small bird).
-
There is a trace of Dragon Breath within his belly.
After discovering that there is only one dragon in the four realms the Heavenly Emperor Qi Jia concludes: Case closed. I’m carrying the Emperor’s chick.
Determined, the little bird charges through the Heavenly Gates to find his “baby daddy.”
The Heavenly Emperor, Yu Baixi, suffered battle damage ten thousand years ago but remains a supreme cultivator. Known for his cold, thunderous methods of rule, he strikes fear into the hearts of all. He is solitary, aloof, and—most shockingly—resolutely denies ever having a relationship with Qi Jia.
Qi Jia: What kind of scumbag dragon is this?!
Staying true to the principle that the other party must take responsibility, Qi Jia stays in the Heavens and “forcefully” installs himself as the Heavenly Empress. Although the Emperor refuses to admit their past, he is surprisingly indulgent. Aside from refusing to cooperate for “Dual Cultivation” (healing through physical intimacy), the chubby bird’s life in the Heavens is peak luxury.
But a sick, amnesiac, “pregnant” bird refuses to be wronged. Even in luxury, he tries every trick in the book to get His Majesty to Dual Cultivate!
Only later does Qi Jia learn that the Dragon Breath wasn’t a baby… and he and Yu Baixi really had no prior relationship.
When his memories return and his secret identity is exposed, Qi Jia’s first instinct is to bolt. Thinking I was pregnant and demanding my old rival take responsibility? If word gets out, it’s too embarrassing for a bird!
As he tries to flee, the cold Emperor corners him in his room, pressing him against the bed: “If we make a real one now, your demand for responsibility won’t be an embarrassment anymore.”
Qi Jia: “???”
Afterward, Qi Jia realizes: The Emperor has a great fortune, but an even better memory. Every detail of how Qi Jia pestered him for “Dual Cultivation” is etched in his mind! I really want to kill my past, amnesiac self.
Later, Qi Jia discovers that since the day he arrived, the “tyrannical and heartless” Emperor had been worrying every single day, hoping Qi Jia would remember his strength, yet fearing that once he remembered, he would leave.
