After Little Sweet Omega Runs with the Ball - Chapter 11
Song Shuangtian nearly thought she’d come to the wrong place when she saw the aggressively imposing black SUV parked outside the dormitory building.
Was some higher-up here for an inspection?
Wiping the dust from her face with a handkerchief, Song Shuangtian felt a mix of emotions.
While obtaining the intelligence was certainly gratifying, the wealth of the rival company was downright depressing.
“Ah, Designer Song! Hurry upstairs Chairwoman Ji is waiting for you!”
The moment Song Shuangtian stepped into the dormitory, a slightly plump manager rushed over, his face creased with an ingratiating smile.
Ji Mingxue?
Song Shuangtian paused. “Why is Chairwoman Ji here?”
Manager Wang had no idea why the chairwoman had suddenly appeared, so he could only usher Song Shuangtian upstairs with repeated urging, wiping sweat from his forehead.
“Designer Song, my sincerest apologies. The dorm conditions here are rather poor. Had you mentioned earlier that your room was too basic, I would have arranged better accommodations for you.”
Song Shuangtian wasn’t one to fuss over her surroundings. If she still carried the airs of her former young mistress days, she wouldn’t have come to intern at M Group in the first place.
“It’s fine.”
Manager Wang’s smile faltered.
Song Shuangtian thought it was fine, but the look in the boss’s eyes practically screamed murder.
As a beta, Manager Wang had an instinctive, bone-deep deference to alphas.
Climbing three flights of stairs, Song Shuangtian spotted her dorm room door slightly ajar from a distance.
She quickened her pace, but before she could take in the sight of the brand-new furniture and overly plush mattress, an unyielding force pinned her against the door.
With a creak, her back slammed into the wooden surface.
Ah!
One couldn’t help but worry if the entire building might collapse from such force.
Song Shuangtian sucked in a sharp breath as the faint scent of orange blossom filled the cramped space.
What the hell are you doing?!
She clenched her jaw, biting back the curses in her heart.
Ji Mingxue gripped the inside of her wrist tightly, the Hetian jade bracelet on the alpha’s wrist pressing against Song Shuangtian’s skin.
The alpha didn’t look well, a sheen of cold sweat glistened on her forehead, and even her marking movements carried an uncharacteristic roughness.
The delicate skin at the back of Song Shuangtian’s neck was repeatedly licked, the tender flesh unable to withstand such torment.
A flush of red bloomed across her skin in an instant.
The icy fragrance of white magnolia, as if alive, coiled around Song Shuangtian’s wrists, ankles, and calves.
Forced to tilt her head back, she soon felt the alpha’s hand close around her slender throat.
Of course, the grip wasn’t tight, but the predatory restraint left its prey far from comfortable.
Song Shuangtian struggled to break free, but her gaze landed on Ji Mingxue’s clearly abnormal expression.
Was this, a rut?
Song Shuangtian had always believed herself to be an alpha, yet she had never experienced a rut and thus had no understanding of it.
“Sorry.”
The alpha, who usually stood aloof and issued commands, murmured a low apology.
Then, without waiting for the omega’s response, she sank her teeth into the fragile gland at the back of Song Shuangtian’s neck.
As the white magnolia pheromones entwined and fused with the orange blossom scent, Song Shuangtian collapsed to the floor, her strength draining away in an instant.
Ji Mingxue wasn’t faring much better either. She scooped Song Shuangtian up horizontally and tossed her onto the newly delivered, overly soft bed.
As the two collapsed onto the bed, the surface dipped and rebounded, bringing them closer with each bounce.
In the distance, the setting sun hung like a fiery orb on the horizon, casting long shadows.
A gust of wind carrying the scent of dust swept through, making the air even drier.
Song Shuangtian’s clear eyes grew dazed. She had no idea how much time had passed before she regained consciousness it was already midnight. She couldn’t afford to indulge like this any longer. As an alpha herself, being marked by another alpha was nothing short of humiliating.
ST Group was truly blessed to have such a dedicated heir like her. 🙂
Song Shuangtian’s unfocused gaze landed on the beautiful woman who had just stepped out of the shower, drying her hair.
The alpha was draped in a wine-red silk gown, her hair unexpectedly soft from the water.
“President Ji,” Song Shuangtian curled her lips into a mocking smile. “You didn’t come here just to sleep with me a few times, did you?”
Ji Mingxue paused, then stepped forward, brushing aside the strands of hair on Song Shuangtian’s forehead before pressing a kiss there.
“What if I said yes?”
“And you’ve misunderstood. For a long time to come, I don’t think I’ll be able to leave you.”
This wasn’t just about sleeping together a few times.
Alphas have incredible stamina
Song Shuangtian: “I believe I have the right to refuse.”
Being intimate with Ji Mingxue was naturally pleasurable, but it was wrecking her body!
Song Shuangtian could clearly feel her energy draining. Under the overwhelming pheromones of an alpha, she had repeatedly felt the urge to vomit, only managing to expel some tea in the end.
The young woman’s face was pale as she curled into a ball under the covers.
“Can we negotiate?”
Ji Mingxue crossed her right leg over her left, lounging lazily on the plush sofa by the bed, idly tapping on her laptop.
“What do you want?”
A promotion and a raise? Or the chance to be a wealthy housewife?
Ji Mingxue half-closed her eyes, her satisfied demeanor making her willing to agree to any outrageous request right now.
Oh, right sending Song Shuangtian on this business trip to the mining area was an opportunity others could only dream of.
Any employee who got involved with raw materials inevitably climbed to the upper echelons of the company.
Song Shuangtian forwarded some of the information she’d gathered today to Yuan Yin.
The omega curled up, rapidly typing on her phone.
Yuan Yin: “Got it. But let’s be real, this is M Group’s open scheme. They just don’t want to leave us any room to breathe.”
Song Shuangtian felt equally frustrated and sent a crying cat meme in response.
Yuan Yin: “By the way, I did a divination for you recently.”
Song Shuangtian: “Not Tarot?”
Yuan Yin: “I’m proficient in all fields, thank you. The reading says something unexpected will happen to you soon, so be careful.”
Song Shuangtian stared at the message. Something unexpected?
She had been feeling unwell lately, probably from exhaustion. After sending this thought, the reply came immediately:
“Exactly. My reading also points to your health. Take care of yourself.”
The stunning woman waited for a while, but the junior employee still hadn’t made any demands. She lifted her gaze to see the young woman bundled in the blanket, inching further away.
The junior employee was afraid of her.
Just moments ago, she had been so bold as to bite her neck in provocation.
Song Shuangtian coaxed gently, “President Ji must have a lot of work to handle. Why don’t you finish your daily tasks before spending time with me? Otherwise, outsiders will say I seduced you and call me a vixen.”
What she wanted wasn’t a promotion, nor money, nor even status her little employee just wanted her to focus on her work.
The newly decorated dormitory fell silent for a moment before a woman’s soft laughter broke through.
“Silly girl.”
Do you even know what you’re missing out on?
Song Shuangtian glared at her she wasn’t silly at all.
Ji Mingxue nodded in agreement. Naturally, an alpha had no intention of wasting too much time on an omega, but omegas like Song Shuangtian, who knew their place, were indeed rare. Ji Mingxue didn’t mind giving her a little extra favor.
Just as the head of M Group was about to pull a gemstone from her briefcase to appease her little lover, her private phone rang abruptly.
Ji Mingxue put the gemstone back and stepped out of the dormitory. Standing in the empty, deserted hallway, she answered the call.
A moment later.
“The property management in the central business district of the capital says the shop lease has expired and wants our company to vacate?”
Ji Mingxue’s expression turned peculiar. She narrowed her eyes dangerously. “Handing the location over to ST? Are you sleepwalking, or is the property management sleepwalking?”
The voice on the other end replied, “Yes, and not just that. The planned store locations in other first-tier cities and several major international cities have all been preempted by ST Group.”
Ji Mingxue’s lips curled faintly, her tone inscrutable. “Find out which ST executive came up with this idea.”
