Four years ago, Ji Xingxiao developed psychological trauma due to the accidental death of his lover. He was forced to take a leave of absence and return to his home planet to recover. Because further psychiatric medication would cause nerve damage and end his career as a Commander, his family decided to surgically erase his memories of Yu Yi.
The night before the surgery, he returned to the planet where Yu Yi had lived. That planet is now ravaged by Level 7 pollutants that cannot be purified. It has been abandoned by the Central Galaxy and has become a lawless, riot-torn wasteland. With the barriers that once blocked polluted pheromones gone, the only survivors are those immune to pheromones or those who have embraced bodily mutation.
There is no law here anymore. Everything has been reorganized and is starting over. In a dark alley, Ji Xingxiao unexpectedly spots a familiar figure. From a distance, the person looks like his old flame. Upon closer inspection, he realizes the old flame is not dead.
He wonders how his formerly weak and useless wife is now thriving and ruling this planet.
Yu Yi narrows his eyes while sizing up the confused Alpha in front of him. He asks, “Do you really not remember anything?” The Alpha nods in response. “Oh,” Yu Yi says. “You are a former Upper District noble whom I rescued last year. You were about to be sold to work as a male escort.” Ji Xingxiao replies, “I see.”
Yu Yi leans down and pats Ji Xingxiao’s cheek. He commands, “Now, let me hear you call me ‘Husband’.”
