- Chapter 16 - White Lotus Wine into the Throat
The Rakshasa General of the Demon Realm was named Ye Chu. Qiu Fuxue had fought him before and knew his strength was not to be underestimated. However, since he wore a silver mask all year round, he didn’t know what he looked like.
“Ye Chu? I’m no match for him now. What do you want me to do for you?”
A pill containing vibrant demonic energy was brought to his lips. Jiufang Cangze used two fingers to pry open his tightly pursed lips and forced him to swallow it. “You don’t need to know too much now. Just have a good sleep. I’ll tell you after you’ve recovered.”
An overwhelming drowsiness washed over him. Qiu Fuxue closed his eyes tiredly. Before falling asleep, he thought to himself, “Fortunately, this isn’t the Joy Parasite. When I wake up next time, I’ll still be myself.”
Qiu Fuxue lay on the bed for seven days. His broken bones barely healed enough for him to walk around. Jiufang Cangze couldn’t wait and immediately fed him the Joy Parasite.
It had been many days since the Rakshasa General had returned victorious from his campaign against the demon race. The Demon Lord had not shown any signs of celebration. However, on the night Qiu Fuxue recovered, the Qingming Palace seemed to have an afterthought and held a celebration feast for Ye Chu.
Jiufang Cangze and Ye Chu were close friends and had never had any conflicts. After much thought, the demons concluded that the culprit was Qiu Fuxue. He must have bewitched the Demon Lord, which delayed the celebration feast.
At the feast, Ye Chu sat in the seat below the main one. He had shed his battle armor and was dressed in a light blue robe. His handsome face was cold and distant. If his identity hadn’t been revealed, he would have looked like a young noble from an ordinary mortal family.
Qiu Fuxue was held in Jiufang Cangze’s arms, secretly observing Ye Chu.
The Joy Parasite had blurred a part of his memory. He couldn’t remember why Ye Chu used to wear a mask. His real appearance was not ugly.
“Little one, are you interested in the Great General?”
The low voice from above his head pulled his wandering thoughts back. Qiu Fuxue looked up and met Jiufang Cangze’s scrutinizing gaze. He quickly shook his head in denial. “Demon Lord, I’m not…”
“Heh.” Jiufang Cangze chuckled, then looked up at Ye Chu. “Ye Chu, you’ve been alone for many years, and your home lacks a companion to serve you. Why don’t you tell me which lady or gentleman you have your heart set on? I’ll be your matchmaker. Consider it a reward for this battle.”
The entire hall erupted in laughter. All eyes turned to Ye Chu. Such a ridiculous reward. Although they didn’t know what the Demon Lord’s intentions were, it didn’t stop the group of demons with ulterior motives from watching the spectacle.
Ye Chu stood still and bowed respectfully. “Thank you for your kindness, Demon Lord, but this subordinate already has someone in his heart, and she is right by my side.”
“Sigh.” Jiufang Cangze sighed regretfully. He lifted Qiu Fuxue’s chin. “Little one, did you hear that? The Great General has someone he loves. Your wish is probably going to be unfulfilled.”
“Demon Lord!” Qiu Fuxue wrapped his arms around Jiufang Cangze’s waist, his eyes welling up with tears. “Fuxue has never had any other intentions toward you!”
Jiufang Cangze said nothing more. He picked up the wine cup in front of him and held it to Qiu Fuxue’s lips. His cold, crimson eyes signaled him to drink.
The mellow, spicy liquid flowed down his throat, causing more pain than when his spiritual orb was tainted by demonic energy.
Qiu Fuxue trembled and let out a moan. He rested his forehead against Jiufang Cangze’s chest, taking the abuse submissively, dutifully playing the role of a male concubine.
But Jiufang Cangze’s methods didn’t stop there. He poured cup after cup of wine into the Pure Spiritual Body. The other person couldn’t bear it but forced himself to endure. Soon, his cheeks were flushed, and he was in so much pain that he lost consciousness.
This scene was watched clearly by Ye Chu, who was sitting below.
From the first day he returned, he had heard that the Demon Lord had captured his arch-enemy, the Fuxue Immortal Lord, and imprisoned him as a male concubine. Seeing him today, he knew it was as he had imagined.
To bring him to this kind of event, it seemed that the Demon Lord’s interest in this prisoner was still strong, or perhaps it was more for the sake of humiliation.
The person in his arms had fainted. Jiufang Cangze put down the wine cup, his face expressionless. He opened Qiu Fuxue’s clothes with his fingers, touching his scarred chest. The brutal demonic energy pierced through his flesh and rushed straight into the white lotus inside his spiritual orb.
“Ugh—” In his coma, Qiu Fuxue felt his spirit being threatened. His brows furrowed. Out of a primal instinct for survival, he forcefully woke up.
“Little one, I’m not happy with your performance today.” His consciousness was hazy, but Qiu Fuxue heard Jiufang Cangze say this.
Afraid of being abandoned again, he grabbed the demon lord’s black clothes and pitifully begged for mercy. “Demon Lord, Fuxue knows he was wrong. Please…”
Jiufang Cangze sneered, tilted his head back, and drank the strong wine from his cup. He then held Qiu Fuxue’s head and kissed him.
The demons below seemed to be having a good time, but they were secretly watching the situation at the main seat. Seeing this scene, they all gasped in admiration, marveling at how wildly the Demon Lord played.
As the protagonist of this spectacle, Qiu Fuxue was in immense pain. On one hand, he tried to respond to please Jiufang Cangze. On the other hand, he had to endure and not lose consciousness.
When the kiss ended, Qiu Fuxue gasped for air through his red lips. A lot of transparent wine stains were on the corners of his mouth. His peach blossom eyes were lost in pain.
Jiufang Cangze let go of him, allowing him to stand barefoot on the floor. He filled the cup again, held it to his vibrant lips, and commanded, “Go and toast the Great General.”
Hearing this, Ye Chu raised his eyelids. His deep eyes were unreadable.
Qiu Fuxue was confused. He looked at Jiufang Cangze, then at Ye Chu. Why did he have to drink the wine?
At that moment, Jiufang Cangze intimately pressed his cheek against his. His hot breath sprayed on his earlobe, and the words he spoke made his heart sink into a deep abyss. “Toast the Great General the same way you fed me the wine just now.”
Qiu Fuxue’s expression was one of horror. He widened his eyes in disbelief.
But the other person didn’t give him a chance to resist. With two fingers, he pried his mouth open and poured the liquid from the cup down his throat.
Under Jiufang Cangze’s threatening gaze, Qiu Fuxue, dragging his shackles, walked with unsteady steps to Ye Chu, his soul lost.
“It’s quite boring at the feast. Why don’t we let the Fuxue Immortal Lord add some fun for everyone?” Jiufang Cangze said, leaning back on his throne in a wild posture.
Qiu Fuxue held the wine in his mouth, not daring to swallow. Bitter tears flowed from the corners of his eyes. Seeing Ye Chu acting as if he wasn’t there, he knelt down beside him.
Although he didn’t want to get involved with anyone other than the Demon Lord, he was even more afraid of being abandoned.
Jiufang Cangze narrowed his eyes and said loudly, “Qiu Fuxue, toast the Great General.”
The demons all watched the show with great interest.
Tears blurred his vision. Qiu Fuxue knelt forward a few steps, his shackles clanking. He closed his lips and leaned in toward Ye Chu.
Just as he was about to get close, a hand reached out and covered his mouth.
The atmosphere instantly became tense.
Ye Chu pushed Qiu Fuxue away and said indifferently, “Demon Lord, this subordinate has had too much to drink and can no longer hold his liquor.”
The demons all “tsk’d” in disappointment.
Jiufang Cangze tapped his fingers on the armrest and said to Qiu Fuxue, “Since the Great General doesn’t want to drink your wine, you can keep it for yourself.”
Qiu Fuxue just sighed in relief. He moved his throat, ready to swallow, when he heard Jiufang Cangze continue, “Keep it for whoever here is willing to drink, and you can toast them.”
