- After His Demise, the Demon Lord's Doted Canary Finally Sees the Light
- Chapter 11 - Pleasures of a Warm Spring Night
Just by a moment of compassion, the Jiaoren, one of the Nine Evils of the Scarlet Moon, met a miserable end.
His eyes were gouged out, and his body was left to sway in the wind outside Qingming Palace.
Although Qiu Fuxue had his eyes back and escaped the darkness, he had angered Jiufang Cangze by conspiring with the Jiaoren to escape. Before he even woke from his coma, a terrible abyss had already been prepared for him.
The Demon Realm had a certain medicine called “Joy Parasite,” which, when mixed with heart’s blood as a catalyst, could control another’s mind.
Jiufang Cangze took a drop of his own heart’s blood, pried open Qiu Fuxue’s pale lips, and fed him the Joy Parasite.
Qiu Fuxue woke up in a golden cage, covered by a fluffy, thin blanket. The shackles on his wrists had been replaced with new ones that looked even sturdier and more beautiful than the old ones, shining with a golden luster along with the cage.
But none of this mattered.
He climbed up and leaned against the cage door, peeking out at the view through the tight bars. He didn’t see the person he wanted to see, and his heart felt as if it had been emptied.
The heavy sound of the sleeping chamber door opening signaled that a tall figure had entered. When Qiu Fuxue saw who it was, his quiet eyes finally lit up with joy.
But this affection was always covered by a layer of fog; it wasn’t from the heart but was merely a tense existence under the control of the Joy Parasite.
The curse mark on his wrist suddenly stung. Qiu Fuxue bit his lip and let out a whimper. A red light flashed, and when he opened his eyes again, the confining cage was gone.
He sat on the ground in a daze, looking up at the figure in front of him.
Jiufang Cangze bent down and gently embraced the dazed little fool. “The little one is finally awake. Did you miss me?”
Qiu Fuxue stretched out his arms and wrapped them around his neck. The emptiness in his heart was finally filled. His chapped lips parted, and after a while, only one word came out: “Yes…”
A satisfied smile appeared on Jiufang Cangze’s face. He placed a kiss on the forehead of the person in his arms. “Little one, you can call me ‘Demon Lord.'”
“Yes, Demon Lord,” Qiu Fuxue said, his eyes lowered. Like a child who relied on an adult, he nestled into the embrace, his entire being exuding obedience.
Although the power of the Joy Parasite was strong, taking the heart’s blood was a great test for the controller’s cultivation. If the usefulness of a Pure Spiritual Body hadn’t far surpassed that drop of heart’s blood, Jiufang Cangze would never have used the Joy Parasite on him.
Dark red demonic energy swirled around, entering his body like wisps of smoke. Qiu Fuxue huddled in the wide embrace, gritting his teeth, his body trembling in pain. Large beads of cold sweat dripped down his cheeks.
However, when he looked up and noticed the sharply defined features of the demon lord, the piercing pain was forcibly pushed back. A forced smile appeared on his lips. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, resting his head against Jiufang Cangze’s chest, his body twitching from time to time due to the pain.
He was willing to endure the pain the Demon Lord brought him.
He felt love, closeness, obedience… and submission.
A few more dark ink strokes were added to the lotus petals. When it was over, the thin undershirt Qiu Fuxue wore was soaked with cold sweat.
Fearing that the fragile body would get sick, Jiufang Cangze carried him to the bed and took off his clothes. His porcelain-white skin was revealed, and the demon lord’s dark red eyes couldn’t look away.
Although the time was not yet ripe, it was not a bad idea to act now to prevent other demons from coveting him in the future.
He locked Qiu Fuxue’s hands together, held them high above his head, and pressed them down. “Little one, today I will teach you what true ecstasy is.”
His long eyelashes fluttered. Qiu Fuxue’s expression was bewildered, and he didn’t struggle. “Demon Lord, what are you going to do?”
Jiufang Cangze leaned in and kissed the small mole at the corner of his eye. “You’ll know in a moment.”
“…Ugh…!”
His body felt as if it were being torn apart. His beautiful red eyes were filled with tears. The pain was even more intense than when the demonic energy had entered him, accompanied by a strange sensation.
Qiu Fuxue lightly moved against the chains, his lips slightly parted as he whimpered softly. After a long time, he couldn’t help but beg for mercy. “Demon Lord… it hurts… it hurts so much…”
This was not ecstasy at all; it was punishment.
Jiufang Cangze had a demonic tattoo extending from his right shoulder to his lower left abdomen. Like the man himself, it was wild and arrogant, covering most of his chest. After greedily absorbing the power of the Pure Spiritual Body, the color of the tattoo deepened slightly. It seemed to have a life of its own, growing a few branches that covered his shoulders as well.
Demonic greed was difficult to satisfy. He continued to move, consuming the last bit of strength from the spiritual body. Only when the person lost consciousness and fell into a coma again did he undo the restraints and give him freedom.
Holding the delicate body, Jiufang Cangze played with the fair, slender hands. The golden chains clanked with his movements.
Only pure gold shackles were worthy of these hands. A look of satisfaction appeared in his eyes. He lowered his head and looked at the person with his eyes closed, and below was a complete mess.
“It’s too plain; it doesn’t look right. It needs to be stained with some different colors to be beautiful,” he thought.
His hands roamed wantonly. Jiufang Cangze stared at the ravaged, blood-colored lips for a long time, then leaned in and kissed them.
He had changed his mind. It would be interesting to keep this little guy alive, locked on the bed all day, to be his male favorite.
With the added boost from the Joy Parasite, Qiu Fuxue became more obedient day by day. Once Jiufang Cangze had gotten a taste, he became even more unrestrained, spending most of his time tormenting the little guy.
During meals, he would make Qiu Fuxue sit on his lap and feed him as if he were a pet.
Sometimes, he would go too far, which would inevitably awaken the consciousness of the Fuxue Immortal Lord. But as soon as the obedience in his eyes faded, Jiufang Cangze would use demonic energy to make him hurt so much he wished for death, and his brief moment of clarity would sink back down.
The Fuxue Immortal Lord, like a white lotus growing on a cold mountaintop, was unfriendly. Jiufang Cangze saw nothing but a desire for destruction in him. The Joy Parasite had not made him lovable.
On this day, the last bit of flesh on the Jiaoren’s body, which had been hanging in front of Qingming Palace, was eaten by birds. The Demon Lord summoned all the demons to discuss how to deal with the skeleton.
If they didn’t completely annihilate it, it was possible that one of the Nine Evils could be resurrected.
At the usual mealtime, Qiu Fuxue couldn’t find the person he loved. The maids silently set a table of food and then retreated, no matter how much he asked about Jiufang Cangze’s whereabouts.
Jiufang Cangze’s possessiveness was intense, and the maids serving in the sleeping chamber had been given a death order not to speak a single word to him, no matter what happened.
“Demon Lord…”
Looking at the table of food, Qiu Fuxue had no appetite. He fiddled with the shackles on his body, then got up and ran to Qingming Palace to look for him.
The guards along the way all gave him a wide berth, afraid that a single glance would cost them their lives. They didn’t dare to stop him.
The demon generals under Jiufang Cangze took the opportunity to try and claim the Jiaoren’s remains for themselves. In just a few words, they started fighting due to disagreements.
Jiufang Cangze sat on the main hall, his handsome brows revealing a deep murderous intent.
At that moment, a small head suddenly appeared outside the hall door, which caught his attention.
Qiu Fuxue was peeking into the hall, and among the chaotic demons, he quickly found the very conspicuous figure.
Their eyes met, and the innocent eyes of Qiu Fuxue immediately lit up.
“Demon Lord!”
Jiufang Cangze stood up. The demons were so frightened that they all shuddered. The noisy hall instantly fell silent.
In the next moment, Jiufang Cangze’s figure appeared directly outside the hall.
“Why did you run out?”
Even though he hadn’t done anything wrong, Qiu Fuxue was startled by his imposing presence. He stuttered, “I… I wanted to see… Demon Lord.”
“So you missed me.” Jiufang Cangze gave a meaningful smile and pinched his delicate chin, rubbing it repeatedly with his thumb. Only when a red mark appeared did he remove his hand.
A layer of mist formed in Qiu Fuxue’s eyes. He went forward in a state of confusion and hugged him.
At that moment, Xuan Xu, one of the Four Evil Shadows, came over. He seemed to have something important to report but hesitated, not daring to step forward, afraid of disturbing the Demon Lord’s good time.
Jiufang Cangze held Qiu Fuxue in his arms, slanted his eyes at Xuan Xu, and said coldly, “Speak.”
Xuan Xu hastily lowered his head. “Demon Lord, those people have been captured.”
“Hmph.” Jiufang Cangze sneered, placing his large hand on top of the person’s head in his arms, and lightly patted it twice. “Little one, I’ll take you to meet an old acquaintance.”
