After Helping the Protagonist Escape From a Madman, I Became His Target [Transmigration Novel] - Chapter 6
Shen Luyang: Holy crap! You don’t mean…
[Yes, exactly you! Stop looking around, Luyang! Have some confidence!]
Shen Luyang turned his head, locking eyes with Xie Weihan’s crimson pupils.
That red hue represented a restless, turbulent energy, yet it was currently confined within those small pupils like slightly swirling red wine; a vintage that had been silent for a century, finally seeing the light of day.
“Teacher Shen, staying here might not be a wise decision,” Xie Weihan reminded him tactfully. His influence on two regular Alphas was too great; he needed to leave.
Shen Luyang’s breath was scorching. He gripped the other man’s hand tightly, his voice hoarse as he racked his memory. “I just saw a classroom near the stairs that didn’t seem locked.”
Locking an S-class Alpha in another enclosed space could temporarily curb the spread of pheromones.
Xie Weihan followed his lead, letting Shen Luyang pull him along. As he sat down on a chair, a thin red line of blood snaked down his right wrist. “Very well.”
But how could Shen Luyang possibly leave him alone? When an S-class Alpha lost control of their pheromones, even in a hospital, doctors could only seek help from a spouse or a volunteer. There was no absolutely effective pharmaceutical control method.
He grabbed Xie Weihan’s hand, his brow furrowed. “I’m not comfortable with that. I’m staying to watch over you.”
Xie Weihan found this statement novel. His pupils contracted slightly, and he couldn’t help but tilt his head away, letting out a soft, low chuckle. After a moment, he looked into Shen Luyang’s eyes and asked patiently, “Are you certain?”
Shen Luyang nodded. He was absolutely, positively certain.
It was just a bite on the neck, not like they were actually… doing it. As a man from a modern society, he wasn’t particularly fixated on such things. A bite wouldn’t make a piece of his flesh fall off.
When they reached the door, Shen Luyang realized it was a small storage room. Some teacher must have forgotten their key in the lock, allowing him to take advantage of the situation.
He found a clean desk to sit on, gasping for air as the pheromones stimulated his senses. The door shut with a sharp click.
It was only then that he snapped back to reality. A question flashed through his sluggish brain: How am I supposed to get Xie Weihan to bite me?
Asking directly would undoubtedly expose the fact that he knew the man was into Alphas. If he didn’t ask directly, then how—
The System’s voice rang out with vibrant energy:
[Luyang! Seduce him!]
Shen Luyang: ?
Shen Luyang: WTF??????
To his utter shock, Shen Luyang realized this truly was the only method left. He was genuinely panicking now. What did “seducing” even mean? Were there steps? How was a stiff, grown man like him supposed to look appealing enough to seduce someone?
[Just imagine: What would Teacher Xie do to make you drool?]
Shen Luyang: As long as he stands there and doesn’t cover his face, I’m already drooling!
[…]
[Luyang, are you sure you’re straight?]
Shen Luyang: Of course I’m sure. I can only have a reaction toward my future girlfriend.
[If you don’t mind me asking… is your ‘future girlfriend’ currently your right hand?]
…
Xie Weihan tilted his head slightly, watching him with dark, intense eyes.
Shen Luyang’s breath hitched. All his stray thoughts died down as he stared back, seemingly possessed.
The storage room was draped with thick, dark red curtains that blocked the harsh sunlight. A weak, low-wattage light bulb overhead cast a soft, hazy glow, and their pale shadows slowly merged on the floor.
Xie Weihan was positioned sideways to him. His slender, pale fingers loosened his tie as sweat dampened the hair at his temples. Droplets of blood from his fingertips stained his crisp white collar and speckled his shirt.
The scent of red wine, potent enough to intoxicate the soul, diffused through the narrow room. Against the backdrop of dark red, the swirling patterns on the wooden floor seemed to undulate, creating an atmosphere so suggestive one hardly dared to look too closely.
Shen Luyang wasn’t sure if it was a hallucination, but he felt the temperature in the room rising. The scene before him blurred and distorted for a moment before snapping back into focus on Xie Weihan’s face; a blend of tenderness and danger.
He was nearly scorched by the heat of his own breath.
“Are you alright, Teacher Shen?” The deep, magnetic voice remained patient, but the underlying sense of indulgence was enough to make one lose their mind. Xie Weihan removed his tie and held it in his hand.
Shen Luyang felt lost. Regarding how to entice an adult male, the only thing he could think of was “mature ladies in high heels”… but he felt Teacher Xie wasn’t someone who would be moved by mere beauty, mostly because the man himself was already the pinnacle of it.
Xie Weihan’s blood-stained right hand gently supported the back of Shen Luyang’s neck. His thumb, slightly calloused, brushed over the gland in a highly suggestive manner. The blood was hot or perhaps the fingertips were and like a tiny, insignificant spark, it suddenly ignited a nerve deep within Shen Luyang.
His chest heaved violently. His heart felt as though it were trying to tear through his ribs. He grabbed Xie Weihan’s collar, his eyes wide as he gasped for air like a cornered wolf, the veins on the back of his hand bulging.
Xie Weihan watched like a cold-blooded spectator as Shen Luyang panicked and struggled… like a newborn cub, fragile and ignorant yet brimming with vitality. Though so small and weak, his movements were fiercer than those of an adult.
He was lucky to have someone protecting him.
He was also unlucky to have been targeted by a greedy devil.
Crack.
The sound of something shattering seemed to echo. The back of Shen Luyang’s neck flushed pink as a pained sound escaped his throat. His eyes widened, and his blood vessels protruded.
Suddenly, he forcefully tore the fabric in his grip and threw his head back, biting down hard on Xie Weihan’s collarbone. His canines pierced the skin, and he began to suckle at the blood with a desperate hunger.
The air was no longer filled only with the singular, heavy scent of red wine. A thick aroma of hot cocoa slowly spread, tinged with a faint, barely perceptible sweetness…
The red wine pheromones, which had ruthlessly suppressed Shi Fan’s scent elsewhere, were uncharacteristically gentle here. They wrapped around the fragile cocoa scent in delicate ribbons, lingering tenderly around the pained, swollen neck as if placing down one soothing kiss after another.
Shen Luyang felt his blood boiling. His vision was a hazy crimson, and his rationality was burned to ash, leaving only a foreign, primal instinct that drove him to bite the very place he had long coveted.
The metallic taste of blood in his mouth greatly relieved his physical discomfort. As a regular Alpha triggering his pheromones for the first time, the toll should have been immense. Yet, because an S-class Alpha was using blood to guide him, he suffered no aftereffects; instead, he felt remarkably comfortable.
As his consciousness gradually returned, Shen Luyang froze at the scene before him.
On Xie Weihan’s pristine right collarbone were two rows of uniform teeth marks, still beading with blood. It was a sight that was both decadent and erotic.
“I…” He blinked, reached out to touch the marks, and then jerked his hand back as if burned. His eyes widened in disbelief. “I did that?”
The hand at the back of his neck shifted imperceptibly, moving to rest at his side. Xie Weihan looked down at him, his gaze full of indulgence, his lips curving into a delighted arc. “No.”
It was a lie meant for a child, yet it somehow made the twenty-four-year-old Shen Luyang flush a deep red.
“I’m so sorry, Teacher Xie! I’ll call the school doctor for you!”
Grasping the hand Shen Luyang used to fumble for his phone, Xie Weihan pinned it to the desk. He leaned down, his nose brushing lightly against Shen Luyang’s before pulling back slightly, his gaze steady. “It’s no matter. It was your first rut; it’s normal to lose control.”
“First rut?” Shen Luyang was stunned, but he quickly realized the truth.
The original “Shen Luyang” had been allergic to chili, but he wasn’t. This meant the body was his own original body, simply repaired by the System in some way. Therefore, Xie Weihan was right—this truly was his first rut, and an “adult awakening” was a considerably dangerous event.
Shen Luyang felt like a total failure. At the critical moment, not only had he failed to complete the mission, but he had also suddenly awakened and bitten the target of his mission.
He looked at Xie Weihan’s still-reddish pupils. “Teacher Xie, your rut… can I help? Or, do you want to bite me back?”
He tugged open the collar of his T-shirt, revealing a collarbone that looked very “biteable.” His healthy skin and muscle tone were the results of regular exercise.
When there was no movement for a long while, Shen Luyang instinctively looked up. Their eyes met, and he saw a deep, profound mirth in the other man’s gaze. Xie Weihan’s eyes were truly beautiful like a drunken beauty or a beast hidden in the dark, contradictory and perfect, always causing him to fall in accidentally.
“Teacher Shen,” the sexy, low voice echoed. Red, thin lips curled into a perfect smile as fingertips gently brushed away the blood at the corner of Shen Luyang’s mouth, smearing it onto his prominent Adam’s apple. That streak of red blurred before Shen Luyang’s eyes. The voice in his ear seemed to drift away like a siren’s song, melting his logic. “What I need isn’t that. You know what it is, don’t you?”
He knew…
Shen Luyang’s gaze drifted aimlessly, landing on the blood-stained front of the other man’s suit, then moving further down…
The fingers pinning his wrist moved slowly, sliding ambiguously into the gaps between his own fingers, brushing against them. At the very edge of interlocking their fingers, the hand would pull back coldly, only to repeat the motion until Shen Luyang was enticed into gripping it tight.
The scent of red wine pressed against his burning skin, seeping in silently and paralyzing his rational nerves.
Shen Luyang grasped the meaning. His Adam’s apple bobbed violently. Whether from nerves or something else, his palms grew damp with sweat.
He heard his own dry voice: “I’ve never… done it for…”
The ambiguous breath moved to his ear. He felt a warm, soft dampness against the tip of his ear.
“Good boy. You can do it. Let me teach you.”
The whisper of a devil.
A fine sweat broke out. The thick curtains blocked the sun, allowing the darkness to breed and occupy the space without restraint. A fragile, clean soul was now held in the devil’s palm. The beast that had slept for so long had found its plaything; it wasn’t in a hurry to devour him. Instead, it donned the cloak of a gentleman and the mask of tenderness, teasing him with the most gentle expressions.
As if weighing his value, yet savoring every moment.
…
Shen Luyang felt as if he had experienced a fever dream. When he woke up, everything had been cleaned and tidied, as if nothing had ever happened.
Yet, a lingering sense of physical satisfaction insisted on its presence, telling him that “everything was real.” He covered his forehead, staring at the tips of his shoes, his pupils shaking with shock.
Holy crap, holy crap… what did I do?
Shen Luyang, oh Shen Luyang, you’ve lived for twenty-four years, and you’ve certainly… really outdone yourself today!
You were so pent up you wouldn’t even let Teacher Xie go? You animal!
He stiffly raised his head and stole a careful glance at Xie Weihan.
Xie Weihan was leaning against the desk, using a tie to wrap the wound on his right hand that had just stopped bleeding; the blood that, just moments ago, had been…
Shen Luyang gritted his teeth. Stop thinking about it! Don’t think! Forget it!
Xie Weihan finished tidying himself and checked the time on his phone. His suit, which had been ruffled and messy earlier, now wrapped crisply around his slender frame. His left hand rested on the desk; the pale skin on the back of it had a distinct red mark, as if someone had gripped it with great force…
Shen Luyang looked away, letting his mind go blank. At this point, all he could do was act as if nothing had happened.
[Luyang, don’t be the type who pulls up his pants and refuses to recognize the person.]
Shen Luyang: I recognize him too damn much! Now, one look at him and I…
“Teacher Shen.”
The voice drew closer. Shen Luyang’s ears twitched as he turned his head stiffly. Xie Weihan reached out and adjusted something at the back of his neck, his tone natural. “Your collar was messy.”
“Oh,” Shen Luyang didn’t dare to move an inch. “Thank you.”
Xie Weihan’s movements paused. He looked directly into Shen Luyang’s eyes. As he withdrew his hand, his fingertips seemed to brush accidentally against the back of his neck, a faint sensation that traveled all the way down to his tailbone.
“Suddenly so polite,” Xie Weihan said, his lips curling into a half-smile. At the moment Shen Luyang’s Adam’s apple bobbed, the man straightened up and stated softly, “I thought we weren’t on such ‘polite’ terms anymore.”
Shen Luyang suffered under the dual torture of his conscience and his pride.
Xie Weihan extended a hand, saying no more. With a perfect sense of boundaries, he asked, “Are you alright? Do you need help?”
Shen Luyang wanted to say he was perfectly fine, and then ask: Teacher Xie, where on earth did you learn those skills? If you’re self-taught, you’re way too good at it…
In the end, all he could choke out was a soft, “Yeah.”
To avoid suspicion, mostly because of his own guilty conscience. He and Xie Weihan left the Arts Building separately, with about a five-minute interval between them.
Shen Luyang looked dazed.
[Luyang, what is that expression? I’m having trouble reading you. Weren’t you just feeling quite comf…]
Shen Luyang (wearing a mask of agony): Holy crap, shut up!
He engaged in deep and painful self-reflection: I’m an animal! I actually… couldn’t hold back and did… that with him! And I even bit him like a dog!
[It was your first rut. Being able to pass through it so easily was indeed thanks to Teacher Xie.]
[But I really don’t understand these human post-event emotions. Even if you didn’t go all the way, didn’t you both enjoy yourselves?!]
Shen Luyang: That was Teacher Xie! I shamelessly took advantage of him! I deserve to die!
[Luyang, you really are a dedicated fan of beauty. But I have to say… Teacher Xie was clearly the one in control from start to finish. What are you wailing about?]
[My silly Luyang, can you straight men often not even tell who is being taken advantage of?]
