After Flirting with the God-Tier Beautiful Tycoon - Chapter 24
“Three, two…”
Before Chen Yi could finish counting, Shen Xiaojiang had already gotten into the car.
He Zhong squeezed the steering wheel hard, started the car, and drove toward the school gate.
“Xinghui,” Chen Yi said to He Zhong.
“Alright.” Hearing Chen Yi mention going to the Xinghui Hotel, where she usually stays, he visibly let out a sigh of relief.
He Zhong had been terrified just now, thinking Chen Yi was really going to take this little girl to Shengshi Huating.
If it was truly just to confirm Shen Xiaojiang’s real identity, there was absolutely no need for that!
Shen Xiaojiang sat bolt upright, with her legs together and her hands on her knees, looking rather comical in her seriousness.
“Princess, I think you should go see her yourself. It would be better,” Chen Yi said slowly.
Princess?
Shen Xiaojiang’s mind felt rusty and slow to process.
Chen Yi glanced at her, her eyebrows curving into a smile: “Second Silly.”
Second Silly?
“Oh, oh, oh!” Only then did Shen Xiaojiang recall that Princess was Chen Yi’s cat, and she had given it an easy to distinguish name, “Second Silly,” when it was getting dewormed at Feifei Pet Shop.
“Uh… what’s wrong with Princess?” Shen Xiaojiang’s expression became serious.
Chen Yi looked at the water droplets on her, pulled out a few tissues, and leaned toward her. “The way it scratched me, shouldn’t you, as the primary doctor, go take a look?”
Chen Yi helped Shen Xiaojiang wipe the rainwater off her face, her movements very gentle, as if she were wiping some precious treasure.
The tissue passed over Shen Xiaojiang’s face, like the rain outside the window tracing the glass.
“I wanted to take her to the pet shop too, but I’m afraid she’ll scratch me again,” Chen Yi added.
Shen Xiaojiang thought for a moment, and it seemed logical.
Sister Meng was at the hospital, the manager was abroad, and she seemed to be the only available person in the shop.
“Mhm, okay…”
Before Shen Xiaojiang could finish her sentence, a faint warmth spread across her face.
Immediately after, her face was gently turned to face Chen Yi.
Shen Xiaojiang’s eyes widened, and the water from her hair dripped. She didn’t dare shake her head, afraid of splashing water onto Chen Yi’s face.
Such a beautiful face shouldn’t be dirtied.
Chen Yi raised her hand and used a tissue to wipe the other half of Shen Xiaojiang’s face that had been turned towards her.
He Zhong, who was driving, suddenly slammed on the brakes.
Due to inertia, both leaned forward at the same time.
It was then that Shen Xiaojiang instinctively reached out and wrapped her arms around Chen Yi, her own back hitting the car door.
“Hiss…” Shen Xiaojiang’s face twisted in pain.
“He Zhong!” Chen Yi, who was leaning into Shen Xiaojiang’s arms, looked furious.
“What was that?” she added.
He Zhong gasped, still shaken, and repeatedly apologized: “I’m sorry, Seventh Master, I was distracted.”
Chen Yi looked at the pained expression on Shen Xiaojiang’s face, narrowed her eyes, and her voice became cold, like a chilling wind sweeping through a hellish cave, “Don’t let there be a next time.”
Shen Xiaojiang’s heart lurched.
Chen Yi was reprimanding He Zhong, and it was because of her?
Twenty minutes later, the white Bentley stopped at the entrance of the Xinghui Hotel.
Two female service staff stood respectfully by the door. Seeing the Bentley stop, one held an umbrella, and the other brought a towel to welcome Chen Yi.
He Zhong quickly got out of the car to open the door for Shen Xiaojiang.
Seeing this, Shen Xiaojiang quickly stepped out.
“Thank you,” she said to He Zhong.
The two female service staff, who had been expressionless moments ago, visibly trembled in their eyes when they saw Shen Xiaojiang.
A few people entered the hotel lobby together.
The service staff swiped the card for Chen Yi to go upstairs, but they were very curious about Shen Xiaojiang and couldn’t help but look her up and down.
After the elevator doors closed, the two staff members quickly surrounded He Zhong.
“Manager He, what’s the situation?”
“What situation?” He Zhong took the dry towel from the staff member’s hand and wiped the rain off his shoulder.
The female staff member gossiped, “That girl who came back with Seventh Master, she looks very young, could she still be a student?”
He Zhong returned the towel to the female staff member without saying anything.
He would never say anything he shouldn’t.
The service staff continued, “It’s the first time Seventh Master has brought someone back to the hotel. Could it be… you know, that thing? After all, I’ve heard for a long time that our Seventh Master might like women.”
“Are you done?” He Zhong looked down and adjusted his cuffs.
The service staff smiled sheepishly, “Mhm.”
He Zhong said coldly, “If you’re done, go back to work. Don’t inquire about things you shouldn’t.”
The staff members left dejectedly.
He Zhong watched the numbers on the elevator change, silently sighing.
To He Zhong, Chen Yi was not just a boss who paid his salary, but also a long time friend and a comrade who had gone through life and death situations with him.
Chen Yi was a ruthless person, never soft on herself or her enemies.
He Zhong had known her for over ten years. So many people loved her to death, but she had never been emotionally moved by anyone.
Locking away one’s heart was truly what she did.
Now was the peak period for Chen Yi’s career. He understood her ambition better than anyone and believed she would work hard for it.
But would her effort toward Shen Xiaojiang be too forceful?
Thinking this, He Zhong shook his head, placed Chen Yi’s car keys at the hotel front desk, and drove his own car to the hospital to accompany his mother.
In the elevator, the space was airtight, amplifying the senses of hearing and smell several times over.
It smelled so good. She wasn’t sure if it was the scent of the elevator’s air freshener or Chen Yi’s perfume.
Soft music was playing in the elevator, still that song, A Flowing Sombernuss.
Shen Xiaojiang kept her hands in front of her, her index fingers pressing hard into her palms.
She didn’t know why she got into the car just now.
Chen Yi was still looking at her phone, with no intention of speaking.
Naturally, Shen Xiaojiang didn’t know what to say either.
The elevator stopped at the designated floor, and Chen Yi walked forward first.
Suddenly, her hand pressed the door-close button, and she turned her head to ask, “Shen Xiaojiang, you…”
Shen Xiaojiang immediately became alert.
“Mhm, it’s nothing.” Chen Yi smiled, turned around, and walked out of the elevator.
Hesitant and awkward, completely unlike her usual self.
Shen Xiaojiang followed her out of the elevator.
There was no soft music or air freshener in the corridor.
Shen Xiaojiang raised her hand and touched her still-damp clothes, suddenly feeling a little nervous.
The only sound in her ears was the “shh-shh” of their feet on the plush carpet.
“Are you cold?” Chen Yi slowed her pace and walked beside her.
Shen Xiaojiang lowered the hand she was using to touch her clothes and smiled shyly, “No, not cold.”
Chen Yi’s eyes were very gentle, much like the warm, yellow light overhead. “Good. After we go in, you take a shower first.”
“Oh.” Shen Xiaojiang nodded.
A second later.
Shen Xiaojiang’s eyes widened. “Oh?”
Why did she need to shower?
Wasn’t she here to see Princess?
Besides, if she took a shower, she wouldn’t have any clothes to change into!
Shen Xiaojiang realized that the walk to the room was very long; they seemed to have been walking for a long time.
The door was opened, and the lights in the room were on.
Shen Xiaojiang’s heart clenched fiercely. The wet clothes on her felt so heavy, making it hard for her to breathe.
Chen Yi slowly turned around and made a “please” gesture, mimicking how Shen Xiaojiang had done it before.
Shen Xiaojiang clutched the hem of her clothes and obediently walked inside.
The room was spacious a suite, facing north and south, with many windows.
Shen Xiaojiang’s gaze was quickly drawn to the enormous bed.
White pillows, white duvet.
Lurid information about hotels suddenly drilled into Shen Xiaojiang’s mind.
Because of her vibrant best friend, Sun Jiabao, although Shen Xiaojiang had no practical experience, she had heard some knowledge about the great harmony of life.
Sun Jiabao watched all sexual orientations and types she was an omnivore.
Shen Xiaojiang wasn’t interested in this kind of education and mostly just listened and let it pass.
She had no idea what two girls were supposed to do.
Moreover, Chen Yi hadn’t mentioned that going home with her actually meant going back to a hotel. This was so embarrassing, making it seem like two people coming to book a room when they were passionately involved.
“Sit,” Chen Yi walked past Shen Xiaojiang from behind, her voice like a gust of wind blowing by.
“Do?” Shen Xiaojiang subconsciously thought of this word.
“Do what?” she added nervously.
Chen Yi hung her coat in the closet, turned around, and looked at her.
The little girl was standing there blankly, her ears and neck flushed red.
Anyone could tell what she was thinking.
Chen Yi stood with her hands clasped behind her back, slowly walked over to Shen Xiaojiang, bent slightly, and leaned forward toward the other person. Fine, scattered light danced in her eyes. “Little one, what do you want to do?”
Shen Xiaojiang turned her face away, her little heart thumping so hard it was almost jumping out.
“I, I don’t know, I can’t, I am the…” Shen Xiaojiang slammed on the brakes, barely stopping herself from saying “first time.”
However, Chen Yi already understood.
She straightened up and slowly raised her eyes.
Amidst the intertwining light and shadow, her figure appeared even more seductive and captivating.
She didn’t have to do anything to make people feel a strong desire to conquer her.
Then, Chen Yi took a few more steps toward Shen Xiaojiang, and the distance between them became excessively close again.
Shen Xiaojiang took a step back.
Just then, Chen Yi hooked her index finger into the neckline of her T-shirt.
Shen Xiaojiang was forced to stay in place.
After taking off her high heels, Chen Yi was half a head shorter than Shen Xiaojiang.
Shen Xiaojiang held her breath, not daring to make any unnecessary movements.
Her T-shirt was slightly translucent from the rainwater.
Chen Yi poked Shen Xiaojiang’s abdomen with the index finger of her other hand and smiled sweetly, “Look, I can see skin here, and it must be cold sticking to your body. Why don’t you not sit down and go wash first?”
“Not… not doing it?” Shen Xiaojiang’s face was as red as a tomato, and her voice trembled slightly.
Shen Xiaojiang had misunderstood.
But for some reason, Chen Yi didn’t want to expose it.
Her index finger slowly moved up from the abdomen, stopping just before touching there. She slowly raised her eyes, gave Shen Xiaojiang a slight glance, and then lowered them again, giving a deep, husky “Mhm,” before her finger moved back to the faint abs line, and she said softly, “Not sitting.”
Shen Xiaojiang’s emotions were like a rollercoaster ride.
Great ups and downs.
She had to admit that from the moment she walked in, from the first sight of that bed, she was indeed anticipating something.
She had just prepared herself to be overwhelmed by the wave, but now she was told that the wave wasn’t coming.
She couldn’t quite articulate whether she felt more disappointment or regret.
Perhaps, she felt a bit of both emotions.
Chen Yi withdrew her finger and turned to walk away.
Disappointment or regret, neither should be allowed to escalate further.
Shen Xiaojiang suddenly grabbed Chen Yi’s wrist and pulled her into her arms, “Do it, do it while we wash.”
