After Flirting with the God-Tier Beautiful Tycoon - Chapter 23
The dorm room door opened, and the balcony door was sucked closed by inertia, making an unpleasant muffled sound.
The four people sat still, minding their own business. It was the most awkward situation imaginable, getting progressively worse.
“Aunt, why… why are you here?” Sun Jiabao moved the bag of fried chicken from in front of Shen Xiaojiang’s eyes.
Up and down the Chen family, no one looked favorably upon Chen Yi, except for Sun Jiabao’s immediate family.
Even though Chen Yi drove an expensive car, lived in a luxurious compound, and squandered money that those people couldn’t earn in several lifetimes.
However, Chen Yi never cared; after all, in the eyes of the crows, swans were always guilty.
Although Chen Yi and Sun Jiabao’s family were the closest in relation, she was still Sun Jiabao’s elder, so meeting like this was quite strange.
Chen Yi immediately put on her mask-like smile. “Waiting for you.”
Hearing Chen Yi’s words, Shen Xiaojiang’s heart sank slightly.
“Huh?” Sun Jiabao pointed at her face. “Waiting for me?”
Chen Yi took a golden movie card from her bag. “The new cinema at Chengxi Shopping Mall. Go watch a movie with your classmates.”
Chen Yi walked around Shen Xiaojiang. As she passed by her, it felt like a warm breeze.
Her clothes fluttered, unsullied by dust.
Shen Xiaojiang couldn’t help but marvel at Chen Yi’s incredible presence of mind.
Yet, this woman always had a smile on her face, but her tone was incredibly cold.
“Aah, Diamond VIP, wow! And it’s unlimited!” Sun Jiabao was beaming with joy.
Chen Yi didn’t say much. She said nonchalantly, “I have things to do, I’ll be leaving now.”
Before leaving, she deliberately kept a distance from Sun Jiabao, as if the other person carried some contagious virus, completely different from when she had actively approached Shen Xiaojiang earlier.
Shen Xiaojiang saw this action with particular clarity.
Watching the gradually receding figure, she clenched her fists.
“Hey, Shengjiang, want to go to the movies…” Sun Jiabao entered the room, putting the fried chicken on Shen Xiaojiang’s desk as she spoke. “I’m telling you, it’s really rare. I’m almost a junior, and this is the first time I’ve seen my aunt in the dorm…”
Sun Jiabao hadn’t finished speaking when she saw a figure flash past her eyes.
Shen Xiaojiang grabbed the cleaned jacket belonging to Chen Yi and rushed out.
“What is she doing?” Sun Jiabao looked at the empty doorway, speechless.
Chen Yi reached the stairwell and took a deep breath.
What exactly was wrong with her just now?
If Sun Jiabao hadn’t come back, what would have happened between her and Shen Xiaojiang?
She quickly blinked a few times, raising her hand to cover her chest.
As if doing so could slow down her heartbeat.
She had a missed call from He Zhong on her phone.
She didn’t call back but sent him her location instead.
Chen Yi’s legs felt soft, without any real sense of footing.
That feeling just now was a certain kind of desire within her body.
So intense that it made her crazy, made her afraid.
He Zhong got out of the car and held an umbrella for Chen Yi.
The huge black umbrella surface also made Chen Yi’s face look drained of light.
The moment the car door closed, Shen Xiaojiang ran down the stairs.
“Go,” Chen Yi said.
The car started, speeding past Shen Xiaojiang.
Shen Xiaojiang looked at the jacket in her hand, afraid of getting it wet again, and quickly took off her own shirt to wrap it up.
Then, without thinking, she rushed into the rain.
The car turned a corner.
Chen Yi saw her.
Shen Xiaojiang’s thin T-shirt was soaked on her body.
Chen Yi’s eyebrows furrowed tightly, and an unspeakable heartache rose in her heart.
“Stop the car,” she said to He Zhong.
He Zhong was uncertain. “Ma’am, what did you say?”
“I said, stop the car!” Chen Yi raised her voice by an octave.
He Zhong immediately turned on the signal and parked the car under the camphor tree.
Chen Yi rolled down the car window, deliberately not looking at Shen Xiaojiang. “What’s wrong?”
Shen Xiaojiang’s hair was wet and sticky on her face, and her whole person looked much paler.
Chen Yi pressed down on the window button, her knuckles white with effort.
“Aunt, your jacket. You can’t forget it this time.” Rainwater flowed into Shen Xiaojiang’s eyes along her eyelashes.
She vigorously shook her head, completely unconcerned.
Chen Yi bit her lip, slowly turning to look out the window. In the softest corner of her heart, a person’s name was branded.
“Fool,” she said very quietly.
Shen Xiaojiang understood those two words from her lip movements, narrowed her eyes, and smiled. “If you say so.”
The car drove away, and Shen Xiaojiang stood there for a long time.
Her mind was a mess, constantly recalling the words Chen Yi had said in the dorm just now.
What was she thinking about just now?
She was thinking about things she had never thought about before.
She was thinking about Chen Yi.
Her mind was full of that aloof, stunningly beautiful woman.
She wanted to hold her hand, wanted to take a closer look at the tattoo on her back.
Just as Shen Xiaojiang turned around, the white Bentley drove back and stopped beside her.
This time, the window didn’t roll down.
But the rear car door opened.
“Do you want to come to my place?” Chen Yi’s voice cut through the rain, dancing a waltz on Shen Xiaojiang’s eardrums.
He Zhong nearly threw up blood.
Shen Xiaojiang spun her head, knowingly asking, “What did you say?”
Chen Yi was silent for two seconds.
In those two seconds, He Zhong nearly scratched the leather cover off the steering wheel.
His small eyes widened, and listening to Chen Yi’s words and watching Chen Yi’s actions, he was practically suffocating.
He Zhong knew that this Bentley was Chen Yi’s private car, and it had never carried anyone else. Furthermore, Chen Yi had never taken anyone to her home. Even though he had known Chen Yi for so many years, the furthest he had ever gone was her underground parking lot.
Shen Xiaojiang was also stunned, her mind a complete muddle.
Then, Chen Yi moved over to the other side, leaving an empty seat. She then lightly patted the seat cushion of the empty space, slowly raising her enchanting eyes, and said unhurriedly, “I’ll count to three. If you want to go, get in.”
