After Falling for the Handsome CEO - Chapter 17
Chapter 17: Hallucinations
Shen Jin stood frozen like a wooden chicken, the smile on his face instantly hardening. He couldn’t process what was happening—or rather, for a split second, he couldn’t tell if this was a dream or reality.
Not daring to look back, he stared blankly down at the hands encircling his waist. The fingers were well-defined and handsome, firmly holding him.
His back was pressed against a warm, solid chest, and he could feel the puff of warm breath against his ear, making it itch. He instinctively shrunk his neck.
Early in the morning, while I’m cooking in the kitchen, Yan Yu wakes up, comes in here, and hugs me from behind… does such a thing actually happen in real life?
Shen Jin shook his head violently to deny it. He said with absolute certainty, “Fake!”
Yan Yu, who had been soaking in this rare, warm atmosphere, was startled by the sudden shout. He asked from behind, “What’s fake?”
Shen Jin’s ears burned as he realized he had lost his composure, but he still couldn’t help saying, “You’re fake!”
Yan Yu: “…”
Having said it aloud, Shen Jin let out a sigh of relief. He had truly been startled just now. He hadn’t realized he missed Yan Yu this much—to the point of having hallucinations!
Oh, wait, no… I must still be dreaming.
And what a beautiful dream it is…
Though it was a bit shameful, he felt a surge of excitement. Things that would never happen in reality were occurring in his dream, and they felt so vivid.
This thought made Shen Jin a bit bolder. He wanted to take advantage of Yan Yu in the dream; after all, it wasn’t real, so the real Yan Yu would never know.
With that in mind, he turned around to look at Yan Yu’s undeniably handsome face. He gave an embarrassed smile, his ears turning red. “Can… can you kiss me? Just once?”
Even in a dream, his shy, introverted nature didn’t change. Under Yan Yu’s gaze, a deep flush spread across his face. He immediately regretted it, wishing he could find a hole to crawl into.
But the thought that “this is all a dream, it’s all fake” gave him a boost of confidence. He looked up at Yan Yu again and stammered, “Are you… are you not willing?”
Yan Yu: “…”
He really didn’t expect this little guy to suddenly become so bold as to ask for a kiss.
However, this seems like it could be fun.
Yan Yu smiled and gave Shen Jin’s flushed cheek a gentle peck. He teased, “Fine. There, I kissed you.”
“Mm…” A shy glint flashed in Shen Jin’s eyes. At the same time, he found it hard to believe. He reached up to touch the cheek that had been kissed; he could still feel the lingering warmth and moisture. It felt incredibly real.
He stared at Yan Yu with bright, clear eyes. After a long moment, he reached out to gently touch him, his fingertips tracing the handsome contours of Yan Yu’s face. He let out a silly, infatuated laugh. “It feels so real!”
Yan Yu was puzzled. Does this little guy actually think I’m an illusion?
Before he could figure it out, Shen Jin leaned in with a shy giggle. “You kissed me, so… I should kiss you back!”
This was just a poor excuse for Shen Jin. He simply wanted to kiss Yan Yu and take as much “advantage” of the dream as possible.
He leaned in timidly and pressed a light kiss on Yan Yu’s left cheek. He smiled happily, his voice soft and sweet. “I kissed you back~”
Yan Yu froze slightly. He thought the way Shen Jin’s eyes curved and his lips tilted upward was extremely cute. That soft, sticky voice sounded like he was acting spoiled—like a pet cat. It felt as if his heart had been lightly scratched, leaving a lingering itch.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” After the initial joy, Shen Jin felt a bit guilty under that gaze. He tried to shift his body to the side to escape the embrace.
However, in the next second, Yan Yu pulled him even tighter. Shen Jin couldn’t move. He watched as Yan Yu lowered his head and bit down hard on his soft red lips. It was almost like a release of pent-up energy. It hurt a little. “What are you doing?”
…
Shen Jin’s breath hitched. He couldn’t believe it. His eyes widened. “You, you, you, you!!”
How could he not know!
Seeing his reaction, Yan Yu gave a playful smile and licked his lips with a bright red tongue—a deeply seductive gesture. He said slowly, “It’s first thing in the morning… what should we do about this?”
“Nonsense!” Shen Jin retorted instantly, his face turning beet-red. He tried to push him away, saying very seriously, “That doesn’t happen so easily in dreams! Don’t try to fool me!”
Yan Yu: “…”
In dreams? Even now, he still thinks this is a dream?
Yan Yu couldn’t help but chuckle. He found this little guy increasingly adorable and very much to his taste. It made him want to hold him tight and pamper him.
Or bully him until he cried… and his legs went weak.
At this point, Yan Yu naturally wasn’t going to let him escape. He pulled him back into his arms, smiling as he traced Shen Jin’s lips. He whispered suggestively, “I can’t help it. Maybe I have too much energy—even in a ‘dream,’ I’m quite spirited.”
“But…” Shen Jin felt Yan Yu’s hands wandering and stroking him. Everywhere those hands touched felt numb and tingly. His legs were turning to jelly; where was he supposed to find the strength to push him away?
With his body going soft, Shen Jin reached out to tug at his clothes, whispering with a red face, “Don’t… don’t be like this…”
Taking a little advantage in a dream was fine, but… but if they did that and Yan Yu found out, what would he think?
Besides, he was still sore down there…
“Let go of me first…” Shen Jin tried his best to ignore the waves of tingling pleasure, speaking with little conviction. “Let’s not do this. Just kissing is enough…”
Yan Yu let out a snort. Instead of letting go, he held him tighter, teasing, “How are you so cute?”
“Unfortunately, it’s too late for regrets now.”
With that, Yan Yu pressed that softening body onto the kitchen table and moved in from behind—
Shen Jin had been cooking moments ago. The rice cooker’s light was on, indicating the food was done, but Shen Jin had no time to worry about that now. He could only flush with shame.
If it’s just a dream, why does it feel so real?
It caused him to accidentally sink into a sea of desire with Yan Yu, unable to extricate himself.
The morning sun was warm, and the window was open. A few leaves from the large trees outside blew in with the breeze. Shen Jin lived near the foot of a mountain, so there weren’t many passersby.
Yan Yu pressed him against the table, then the window, then the wall… In that shabby kitchen, the two were reckless until Shen Jin finally broke into whimpering sobs.
“Giving up already?” Yan Yu picked him up, looking at him with amusement. After rubbing the person who had turned into a puddle of water, he planned to take him for a bath.
Shen Jin’s eyes were still red. He sniffed, feeling incredibly sensitive, his voice still trembling. “It’s clearly… it’s because you’re too much…”
Yan Yu couldn’t help but laugh. He gave Shen Jin’s smooth backside a playful swat. “Naturally. Who do you think I am?”
Shen Jin gave him a shameful glare, his voice very soft. “Don’t swat me. It hurts…”
He felt even more humiliated after saying it, not knowing where to hide his face.
Seeing that he was practically steaming, Yan Yu stopped teasing him. He just laughed and lowered his head to kiss him, finding the little guy in his arms more and more endearing.
Knock, knock, knock—
As they were about to enter the bathroom, a sudden knocking at the door made Yan Yu stop in his tracks. He looked down at the person in his arms.
Shen Jin had just been thoroughly bullied and was currently in a dazed, hovering state. Catching Yan Yu’s gaze, he asked, “Who is it?”
Yan Yu: “…”
How should I know?
Then, the person outside spoke. It was an old woman’s voice. She knocked while asking, “Xiao Jin—are you home?”
Yan Yu frowned. He looked down at Shen Jin, wondering if he had a grandmother. Her timing was truly terrible; Shen Jin was in no condition to see anyone.
“Your grandmother?” Yan Yu asked.
“No, no, I’m an orphan, I don’t have a grandmother!” Shen Jin shook his head, then frowned. “But that voice… it sounds like Grandma Li from next door…”
As soon as he finished, Grandma Li outside continued, “Xiao Jin, I brought you some vegetables! Just picked them, come and get them!”
“Okay, okay! Thank you!” Shen Jin shouted back from the room. “I’ll be right there!”
Then, Shen Jin’s face went through a kaleidoscope of colors—flushing red one moment, turning pale the next. He swallowed hard. If I’m only dreaming about Yan Yu because I miss him, why is Grandma Li here too?!
It’s impossible that I’d dream about the neighbor from next door!
“Why are you staring at me like that?” Yan Yu saw him staring with wide eyes and couldn’t help but laugh. He set him down. “I’ll go out and get the vegetables for you.”
Shen Jin watched his back for a moment, blinking in a daze. He took a single step forward and immediately hissed in pain.
His backside hurt like hell!
Don’t they say you can’t feel pain in dreams?!
Shen Jin felt like his heart had stopped. He supported his trembling body and peeked into his bedroom—no one was there!!
So… so… it WASN’T a dream!
Shen Jin’s face instantly turned an explosive red. His body went so weak he could barely stand. His mind was in a total upheaval.
Heavens, what on earth did I just do?!
