- Chapter 3 - I Am Not a Male Escort!
This outfit didn’t look like a proper suit at all; it was cut away to expose the waist, which was covered only by a thin layer of gauze.
Hearing Xie Wenye’s comment, a vein throbbed in Gu Huai’s temple. “Are you mental? Am I really so poor that I need to sell my body?”
Seeing that Gu Huai truly had no such intention, Xie Wenye finally felt relieved. He scrutinized the outfit again. “It’s certainly… flamboyant.”
Gu Huai ignored him, looking down at the fabric. “It feels so cheaply made.”
Before Gu Huai could complain further, Ji Chen called to say the car had already arrived at the door. Gu Huai realized for the first time that a car could arrive so quickly, almost as if it were eager to send him off to his doom.
Despite wearing such a ridiculous outfit, Gu Huai still had some dignity left; he quietly threw a regular suit jacket over himself before leaving.
Upon entering the banquet hall, Gu Huai was immediately led to a private room. The atmosphere inside was rowdy. Gu Huai looked at the crowd with discomfort, his brows furrowing in disgust.
“Hey, you. Come here.”
Gu Huai looked directly at the man who had spoken. The man was scanning Gu Huai from head to toe as if he were looking at prey. Gu Huai felt an involuntary shiver; the man’s gaze made his skin crawl.
This was the famous Director Wang whom Ji Chen had mentioned. Suppressing his irritation, Gu Huai walked over obediently.
“Hello, Director Wang.”
Director Wang waved him closer with a greasy, lecherous smile. “I’ve heard about your situation.” He gestured for Gu Huai to sit near him.
Gu Huai felt a stranger’s hand land on his waist, rubbing the fabric repeatedly.
“A bit of a pity that you’re a Beta. If you were an Omega, I can’t even imagine how much better it would be.” The man leaned in. “You smell so good.”
Gu Huai felt goosebumps break out all over his body. It was revolting. Director Wang put on a look of feigned affection, but his bloated, lecherous face was impossible to ignore. Gu Huai told himself to endure it; a moment of patience would bring peace. He couldn’t waste the opportunity Ji Chen had fought to get him.
“Room 309. Come over tonight, and you can pick any script you want.”
“Take good care of me, and you’ll have a smooth career in the industry from now on.”
As he spoke, Director Wang’s hand began to slide lower along his waist. “Little darling, you look so good. Why are you being shy and wearing an extra jacket?”
His eyes roved shamelessly before he spat out two words: “Take it off.”
Gu Huai’s patience was wearing thin. He had heard that Director Wang liked young actors, but it was now clear that “liking” meant “sleeping with.” Given the crowd of people watching, he forced a bright, charming smile. “Of course. Anything Director Wang likes.”
He removed the outer jacket, revealing the original outfit. Director Wang didn’t blink, his face lighting up with delight. He felt like he had found a treasure. That waist… Tsk. In bed, it would be incredible.
Bo Jianyan stared blankly at a bank card, completely tuned out from what the person beside him was saying. It wasn’t until Song Chengchi grew parched and started drinking water that Bo Jianyan looked up slowly. “What’s the point?”
Song Chengchi nearly spat out his water and cursed. “Bo, are you playing with me? I’ve been talking for twenty minutes and you’ve been zoning out for twenty minutes?”
Bo Jianyan glanced at him. “You talk too much. I need it simple and clear.”
Song Chengchi, constantly provoked by Bo’s brief remarks, ground his teeth. He slammed a folder onto the desk in front of Bo Jianyan. “Fine. Here is the person you asked me to check, and you must attend this banquet.”
Bo Jianyan scanned the file. Seeing no significant information, he opened his mouth to mock him but thought better of it. “Let’s go. We’re leaving.”
Gu Huai felt physically ill from Director Wang’s attention. He wanted to vomit. Director Wang, seemingly oblivious, handed him a glass of wine. He smiled greedily. “Little darling, drink up.”
As Gu Huai reached for the glass, the man brushed his hand. It was sickening and frustrating. He continued to endure, draining the glass under the director’s watchful gaze.
Satisfied, Director Wang poured him another. Gu Huai used the act of drinking to pull away from the hand on his waist, wishing he could go home and scrub his skin raw.
However, the wine felt unusually strong. After finishing it, an unnatural heat began to rise within him. Gu Huai felt stifled. He undid his top button and fanned himself irritably. His head began to swim. Since when is my alcohol tolerance this low? he wondered.
Director Wang leaned in even closer, acting concerned. “Are you hot? Do you want me to help you with those buttons?”
Without waiting for consent, he reached out. Gu Huai tried to push the hand away, only to find that he had no strength left. His body was burning up.
This old beast, who was older than his own father, had drugged the wine. Gu Huai shook his head, trying to clear the fog. He used the last of his strength to push back, but instead, he ended up falling right into the man’s embrace.
“Is my little darling so impatient? I’ll make sure to satisfy you later.”
Gu Huai knew things were bad. He had no strength left, feeling like a fish on a chopping block. Director Wang’s hands were already busy undoing his buttons.
One. Two. Three.
The suit top fell open into a deep V-shape. Just as the man was about to continue, the door to the private room swung open.
Song Chengchi was in the middle of complaining as he pushed the door open, only to be met with this scene. The other people in the room acted as if nothing were wrong, most of them holding people dressed similarly to Gu Huai.
Bo Jianyan initially had no interest in the room, but when his eyes landed on the person in Director Wang’s arms, his expression instantly shifted.
Song Chengchi was stunned. He had never seen Bo Jianyan look so frantic. The air pressure around Bo Jianyan plummeted, followed by a sudden, overwhelming flood of Alpha pheromones.
He kicked the chair in front of him straight away, the loud crash instantly drawing everyone’s attention.
Director Wang hurriedly let go of the person in his arms and ran over to Bo Jianyan with a flattering smile. “President Bo, I had no idea you were coming today.”
Bo Jianyan looked at him with cold eyes and a dark expression, not even bothering to fake a polite face. He walked straight past him toward Gu Huai. His movements even carried a hint of urgency.
He turned his body to block the view of the others, took the man into his arms, and wordlessly began buttoning up Gu Huai’s shirt. As if smelling a familiar scent, Gu Huai subconsciously leaned in and nuzzled against his neck.
Song Chengchi, who was initially just watching the drama, froze when he saw Gu Huai’s face. Wait? Isn’t this the guy Bo told me to investigate?
Holy crap, no wonder Bo Jianyan is so agitated. His “wife” actually ended up in a place like this? And it looks like he’s been drugged.
Despite his intense discomfort, Gu Huai struggled to focus on the person in front of him. Seeing it was Bo Jianyan, he finally let out a sigh of relief and leaned into him, whispering softly, “I’ve been drugged. Get me out of here.”
Bo Jianyan suddenly felt a surge of gratitude that he had come tonight; otherwise, he didn’t dare imagine the consequences.
Director Wang was displeased. “President Bo, what is the meaning of this?”
Song Chengchi stepped forward before Bo Jianyan could react. As Bo’s longtime friend, he could tell Bo was already pushed to his limit. “Move. Does President Bo need to answer to someone like you for what he wants?”
Director Wang immediately lost his nerve and backed away.
Seeing that Gu Huai was in a terrible state, Song Chengchi tactfully had his people open a room and repeatedly instructed everyone not to disturb Bo Jianyan.
Bo Jianyan looks furious. Good luck to the “Sister-in-law.”
Gu Huai had almost lost consciousness. His face was flushed, and his body was burning hot. He clung to Bo Jianyan desperately, trying to find some coolness from his body.
Looking at the man sticking to him like glue, Bo Jianyan’s expression couldn’t help but soften slightly. “Be good. I’ll go prepare some cold water for you.”
He placed him on the bed and went to the bathroom to run the water.
Gu Huai was so hot he couldn’t take it; he began unbuttoning his own shirt. Although his mind was blurry, he still remembered who Bo Jianyan was. When Bo Jianyan came out of the bathroom, he saw that Gu Huai had already undone most of his clothes.
Large patches of skin were exposed to the air. With just a few movements, his body was practically on full display. That suggestive suit combined with his current reaction made Bo Jianyan’s throat go dry for a moment.
As soon as Gu Huai saw him approaching, he leaned in without any defenses and actively rubbed against him.
Bo Jianyan felt helpless. “I’ll carry you to the water.”
Gu Huai leaned his head on his shoulder. “No… it hurts so much.”
Bo Jianyan reached out to touch his forehead. It was scorching. He didn’t know how strong the drug they gave him was.
“Help me, please.”
Bo Jianyan turned his face away. “I’ll take you to the bath.”
Seeing that Bo Jianyan had no intention of helping him, Gu Huai grabbed his hand and guided it over his own body. He didn’t think there was anything wrong with this; Bo Jianyan’s hands were very cool, and it felt wonderful. Besides, they had already slept together once.
Bo Jianyan said helplessly, “You’re not sober right now. What if you regret it later?”
Gu Huai ignored him and continued his pursuit.
Bo Jianyan was worn down by his persistence. If this continued, he feared the one needing a cold bath wouldn’t be Gu Huai, but himself. He pinned Gu Huai’s hands down to stop the wandering. “I’ll show you.”
Perhaps because of the drug, Gu Huai’s performance was completely different from the last time. There were tears in his eyes, yet he kept asking for more.
Bo Jianyan admitted there were moments where he was less than a gentleman—like now. He had been so consumed with rage when he saw Gu Huai in that man’s arms earlier. Now, seeing him on the bed, bullied into begging for mercy with tears in his eyes, he felt a deep sense of satisfaction.
Bo Jianyan kissed his forehead. The effects of the drug had finally passed, but there wasn’t a single “clean” spot left on Gu Huai’s body.
As the atmosphere remained heated, Gu Huai bit down hard on Bo Jianyan’s collarbone. To Bo Jianyan, it felt strangely like flirting. He internally cursed himself for being a “pervert,” as he actually found the bite quite stimulating.
After cleaning him up, Bo Jianyan held him as they fell asleep.
The next day, Gu Huai felt dizzy and his body ached, but the pleasure from the night before was still vivid in his memory. Bo Jianyan was still asleep beside him.
Thinking about how Bo Jianyan had teased him, Gu Huai felt so embarrassed he pulled the quilt over his face.
Damn it! Why is his situation always so pathetic every time he meets this man?
Gu Huai didn’t want to think about last night; the more he thought, the more his face burned. He had originally planned to find Bo Jianyan to ask for some money back since he was truly broke and couldn’t even put food on the table. He hadn’t expected their reunion to be in bed again.
His thoughts were a mess, and since they had stayed up late, Gu Huai soon drifted back to sleep.
By the time Bo Jianyan woke up, it was already noon. He ordered lunch and clothes from the hotel staff. Seeing the “99+” notifications on his phone, he didn’t even need to look to know who sent them.
He opened WeChat and sent a single period: “.”
The person on the other side went wild: “Holy crap, you just woke up?”
“Yes.”
Silence for a second: “You… you animal!”
Bo Jianyan couldn’t be bothered with him. After freshening up, the hotel meal was delivered.
Gu Huai looked at the clothes laid out by the bed. He hesitated for a second before putting them on. They were exactly his size.
His heart was racing. What should I say when I go out?
He walked out to see Bo Jianyan wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, sitting in a chair handling business matters. Gu Huai was momentarily stunned by the sight.
Noticing his gaze, Bo Jianyan took a sip of coffee. “Come and eat.”
Gu Huai obediently walked over. Seeing the hickey on his neck, Bo Jianyan was in a particularly good mood.
After a few bites, Gu Huai decided he needed to explain himself. Before he could speak, Bo Jianyan beat him to it.
“How old are you this year?”
Gu Huai was a bit confused but replied, “22.”
“How long have you been in this line of work?”
“Four years, almost five.”
Bo Jianyan’s hand trembled, his teeth grinding in anger. “That’s how they treat you? You were that young when you started?”
Gu Huai found the question strange but continued, “This age is quite normal for this industry.”
Bo Jianyan closed his eyes, trying to calm his emotions. After a long silence, he spoke carefully to avoid hurting Gu Huai’s pride. “Are you very short on money?”
Gu Huai nodded, his handsome features scrunched up. It wasn’t just “short”; he was desperate.
Bo Jianyan sighed. “Don’t do this anymore. It’s not good for your health. Come to me instead. I’ll pay you ten times the price.”
Even as slow as he was, Gu Huai finally realized the misunderstanding. His ears flushed red instantly.
“It’s not what you think,” Gu Huai finally blurted out. “I’m not a male escort!”
“Huh?”
