Top Alpha Jing Xiao transmigrated into the human world, only to suddenly gain a delicate, soft-bodied, sweet-voiced wife.
She and Fan Qingyu were deeply affectionate, yet step by step Jing Xiao became nothing more than a puppet of love. Fan Qingyu, however, could never bring herself to fulfill the promise of marriage. Their conflict only grew sharper until one day Jing Xiao casually asked:
“Xiaoyu, do you really not want to marry me?”
As always, Fan Qingyu replied, “Let’s talk about it later.”
That very night, Jing Xiao made up her mind to leave.
She stood drenched in rain the whole night before seeking refuge with a friend, who greeted her with:
“Well, kicked out by your young lady again?”
Coming to terms with her situation, Jing Xiao decided to return home and dutifully inherit the family business. The next morning, she firmly spoke two words—break the engagement.
Fan Qingyu wept like pear blossoms in the rain, swearing that she could not live without her. Jing Xiao, dressed in a sharp suit, curled her lips:
“Miss Fan, I don’t have time to play this game of push and pull with you.”
Fan Qingyu’s beautiful eyes filled with tears, her fever-flushed skin glowing red against pale white:
“I was wrong, I really was wrong.”
Jing Xiao rubbed her chin:
“Beg me.”
As Jing Xiao dominated the business world, appearing frequently in financial interviews and attending various events with different female companions, Fan Qingyu realized she had truly given up on their four-year relationship. A tide of sorrow and regret crashed over her.
Fan Qingyu went to a downtown bar to drink herself senseless. In the early hours, cheeks flushed, lips lightly bitten, eyes shimmering, she knocked on Jing Xiao’s door. Tears streamed down her face as she trembled and asked:
“Jing Xiao, do you really not want me anymore?”
Jing Xiao said nothing.
Fan Qingyu pressed her hand against her own chest. Through the soft rise and fall, Jing Xiao could feel her heartbeat—fast and steady. Tears soaked her palm as Fan Qingyu pleaded:
“Please, keep loving me.”
When the truth finally surfaced and Jing Xiao was about to confess, Fan Qingyu silenced her with a kiss:
“What I owe you, I’ll repay with these things.”
From companionship, to confession, to proposal—they began all over again. Jing Xiao smiled wearily:
“I was the one who asked to break up, and now I have to win you back.”
Fan Qingyu’s gaze turned dark and deep:
“It’s not you winning me back—it’s me choosing to love you all over again.”
