- After Being Entangled By the Obsessive Heroine [Quick Wear]
- Chapter 1: World 1 The Fake Heiress - It’s over! I slept with the heroine!
The soft, soaring notes of a cello filled her ears. A gentle light shone before her eyes, and a faint scent of wine wafted through the air. Someone seemed to be talking to her, but Xian Ning couldn’t make out the words.
Am I in the mission world already? That was her only thought.
The mission’s plot had yet to appear in her mind, leaving her completely in the dark about her current situation.
Suddenly, the music swelled, the voice beside her became a jarring shout, and the light grew blindingly harsh. Everything around her turned clamorous and chaotic.
Finally, Xian Ning heard what the person was saying.
“You’re a fallen phoenix, so what’s with all the airs? It’s an honor for me to take an interest in you, so don’t be difficult and save yourself a bit of trouble!”
It was a man’s voice—unpleasant and full of arrogant bravado. Just piecing that much together was enough to make Xian Ning’s stomach churn.
Then she realized her stomach actually was burning, a strange emptiness spreading through her limbs, making her hands and feet weak and her mind foggy.
A hand reached for her. The man next to her seemed to be trying to embrace her.
Xian Ning bit down hard on her tongue. The pain brought a flash of clarity.
She shoved the man’s hand away and stumbled desperately toward the crowd.
Her strange behavior drew the attention of other guests in the ballroom. The man was about to follow her but stopped when he realized he was being watched.
As she searched for an exit, Xian Ning took in her surroundings. She was in a massive ballroom, where people in expensive evening gowns and suits gathered, chatting softly with glasses of wine in hand.
Her vision swam, a sea of faces blocking her view. She couldn’t find an exit.
Her body was feeling worse and worse. If she wasted any more time, she would lose all her strength.
Panic mounting, Xian Ning spotted a server carrying a tray of ice. Without a second thought, she grabbed a piece and shoved it into her mouth, then mumbled a question about where the exit was.
The server pointed in a direction and asked if she needed help.
Xian Ning waved her off. Mustering every ounce of remaining strength before her consciousness completely faded, she staggered toward the exit.
Along the way, others asked if she needed help, and she instinctively refused them all.
By now, she couldn’t even distinguish a man’s voice from a woman’s. But whether their intentions were good or bad, she couldn’t accept their help. If it was a man, she would be in danger; if it was a woman, the other person might be.
The ice melted in her mouth, the water spilling from the corner of her lips. Xian Ning didn’t bother to wipe it away as she finally reached the exit.
Victory was in sight, but a figure suddenly appeared in front of her. The last of her strength gave out, and her legs buckled, sending her tumbling into their arms.
It was a soft, fragrant embrace. A faint scent of gardenias cut through the haze of alcohol, bringing a moment of lucidity to her muddled mind.
Xian Ning looked up at the person before her. Mesmerized by a face as beautiful as a sunset, she changed her attempt to push away into a desperate hug.
“Help me, please…”
Xue Yingxian watched Xian Ning’s lust-filled eyes and flushed cheeks, a cynical smirk playing on her lips.
“Weren’t you the one who said we were sworn enemies? And now you want my help? Do you really think that’s possible?”
The woman’s face seemed familiar to Xian Ning, but she couldn’t remember where they had crossed paths. Her body was growing weaker, her consciousness slipping away.
“Being sworn enemies is even better,” Xian Ning murmured. “Isn’t it more exciting to take liberties with an enemy?”
Xue Yingxian’s expression changed. “How can you be so shameless—” she began, her voice cold.
Xian Ning could no longer hold herself up. With the last of her strength, she hooked her arms around Xue Yingxian’s neck and kissed her.
“Just this once. Just get me to a safe place. I’ll repay you, I promise.”
With that, Xian Ning collapsed onto Xue Yingxian’s shoulder. She wasn’t completely unconscious, but she could no longer move on her own.
Xue Yingxian was so stunned by the kiss that it took her a long moment to snap out of it, her face a mask of disgust, as if she had just swallowed a fly.
“Lu Xian Ning, are you trying to get yourself killed?!” she gritted out.
She tried to pull the person clinging to her off, but in their struggle, Xian Ning’s dress slipped down.
Xue Yingxian froze. She had always known Lu Xian Ning had a good figure, but seeing it up close was a whole other experience.
Someone walked in from outside. Xue Yingxian quickly pulled Xian Ning closer and pressed her into her chest to keep her from being exposed.
The person recognized Xue Yingxian and, upon seeing her holding another girl, their eyes widened instantly.
Xue Yingxian looked their way with a flash of irritation. “What are you staring at?”
The person scurried off, muttering to themselves, “Didn’t she get engaged to Tang Di? Why does it look like she’s into girls…?”
Under the influence of the drug, Xian Ning was burning with heat, her body writhing restlessly. Exasperated, Xue Yingxian grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her away.
“Lu Xian Ning, don’t push your luck!”
The tug hurt, and tears welled up in Xian Ning’s eyes. Her entire being felt soft and pliable, as if she could melt.
“It hurts so much. Please, help me…”
The tormenting rush of emotions made her voice sound frail. Xue Yingxian looked down at her, her eyes shifting slightly, the icy facade cracking.
She pulled Xian Ning back into her arms, a low growl in her voice. “Don’t you dare regret this!”
Before Xian Ning could reply, she was lifted into Xue Yingxian’s arms. The sudden loss of gravity made her instinctively clutch at Xue Yingxian’s neck, afraid of falling.
The drug was working its full magic. Xian Ning felt her insides were on fire, her skin turning pink. Her hot breath on Xue Yingxian’s neck made the latter’s face grow darker and darker.
The ballroom was on the first floor of the hotel. Xue Yingxian took Xian Ning up to a suite on the thirteenth floor. As soon as the door closed, Xian Ning eagerly kissed her.
Xue Yingxian’s face was cold as she tossed Xian Ning onto the sofa. Leaning over her, she spoke in a voice as frosty as a winter morning.
“Lu Xian Ning, you’re really willing to go to extremes just to get back at me.”
Xian Ning didn’t understand her words. All she knew was that their current proximity made it easy to act.
She reached up, grabbed Xue Yingxian’s arm, and pulled her down onto the sofa.
Xue Yingxian’s face turned as black as ink, looking at the person sprawled in her lap.
Xian Ning was completely aflame. Her eyes were fixed on Xue Yingxian’s lips, a captivating allure in her gaze.
Her mind was a blur, but her body moved without hesitation. After being thrown onto the couch, she was already kissing the other woman.
Xian Ning’s lips were soft like jelly and held a faint taste of wine. Since Xue Yingxian didn’t push her away immediately and Xian Ning seized the opportunity.
She was inexperienced, yet her body seemed to know what to do. She parted Xue Yingxian’s lips, their tongues entwining as they shared each other’s breath.
Xue Yingxian finally came to her senses and pushed her away.
Xian Ning’s dress was barely hanging on, one shoulder bare, her eyes flushed, and her lips glistening. The sight was nothing short of an invitation.
Instead of scolding her, Xue Yingxian was in a state of shock. Her eyes were wide with disbelief, but her body’s reaction was undeniable.
She was actually responding to Lu Xian Ning…
Xue Yingxian felt like she must have gone insane. She glared at Xian Ning in a fit of frustration. Xian Ning cradled her face, pecking at the corner of her mouth.
“You didn’t like it when I kissed you like that? Then what about this?”
Xue Yingxian didn’t want to admit it, but she was completely captivated by Xian Ning, who had a look of such innocence on her face yet emanated such a captivating allure. How could her expression and tone be so contradictory? It was as if they belonged to two different people.
Seeing her silence, Xian Ning grew bolder. She kissed Xue Yingxian’s chin and lightly bit at the subtle curve of her throat, distinctly feeling it bob.
Xue Yingxian’s voice was hoarse. “Don’t go any further. I can’t promise what will happen if you do.”
Xian Ning was too caught up in the moment to listen. She moved to Xue Yingxian’s collarbone, leaving a neat row of tooth marks.
Xue Yingxian closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened them again, something had changed.
Xian Ning’s slender waist was grabbed, and a hand moved up her back, cupping the back of her neck.
“Lu Xian Ning, you’d better not be messing with me.”
That night, Xue Yingxian said Xian Ning’s name more times than she had in the past few years combined.
Xian Ning’s lips were kissed again, and she realized Xue Yingxian was a far better kisser than she was.
A strange rivalry rose in her, and she refused to back down. The two of them kissed passionately, neither yielding to the other.
Xue Yingxian was at her limit, her eyes growing red. She rested her chin on Xian Ning’s shoulder, her breathing ragged.
Xian Ning’s ears tingled from the scorching breaths, and her consciousness grew hazy once more.
Xue Yingxian grabbed her shoulders, staring at her for a long time. The ice in her eyes slowly melted, and a tide rose from the previously calm surface.
Xian Ning’s eyes were flushed crimson, blending with the color on her face, like the beautiful morning clouds and evening glow.
The moisture in her eyes turned to tears that fell one by one, wetting her long, thick lashes and veiling her dark pupils.
Xian Ning felt as if she was caught in a long, sensual dream. The intoxicating sensations were like feathers, making her feel light and buoyant.
The night deepened. The moon cast a silvery glow over the landscape, and stars glittered in the ink-black sky.
As the drug’s effects wore off, Xian Ning’s mind began to clear, though her body was utterly exhausted. She didn’t even have the energy to open her eyes.
Xue Yingxian’s voice, low and husky, drifted into her ears. “I thought you were a tough one. Turns out you’re just a pushover.”
Xian Ning wanted to say she wasn’t, but the next moment, her neck was grabbed. Xue Yingxian leaned in to kiss her, and Xian Ning turned her head to meet her lips.
********
The small bedside lamp stayed on all night. Xian Ning didn’t know when she finally fell asleep. When she woke up again, everything was pitch black. For a moment, she thought she had gone blind.
After her eyes adjusted to the darkness, Xian Ning instinctively turned her head. She was caught completely off guard by a beautiful, delicate face and nearly screamed.
What’s going on? Why is a gorgeous woman sleeping next to me?
The plot flooded her mind, giving Xian Ning a splitting headache. She held her forehead, dazed for a while.
The mission was to play the villainess. In this world, she was the foolish and wicked fake heiress.
Three years ago, the real heiress was found. The original Lu Xian Ning was taken back by her biological parents. She couldn’t accept that suddenly she was going from a pampered young lady to an ordinary person and blamed the real heiress for taking her life. She constantly harassed her and tried to trip her up.
Later, when she learned the real heiress was to marry the Tang family’s heir, Tang Di, she used every trick in the book to seduce him, becoming a stumbling block for the protagonists’ relationship.
The main characters’ love story would span hundreds of chapters, and they would eventually get their happily ever after, while she, the villainess, would meet a tragic end.
Xian Ning’s timing for transmigrating was terrible, but at least she hadn’t caused any irreparable harm yet, so she could still avoid a horrific death.
But who could tell her why the female protagonist was sleeping beside her?!
Xian Ning glanced over. There were what looked like kiss marks on Xue Yingxian’s neck. Then she looked at herself and found she was a mess.
Putting her fragmented memories together, it was all too clear what had happened last night.
Xian Ning’s brain short-circuited for a good ten minutes before she came up with a brilliant idea.
The best plan is to run.
Her body felt like it had been run over by a truck. Nothing felt right. Xian Ning slid to the edge of the bed and picked up Xue Yingxian’s clothes to put on.
Why not her own? Because they had been torn to shreds.
Xian Ning took all the cash from her purse and left it on the nightstand, then fled without a second glance.
She absolutely couldn’t become a stepping stone for the main characters, or she’d have no idea how she even died.
Not long after Xian Ning left, Xue Yingxian woke up. Her eyes darkened as she looked at the empty room.
When her gaze fell on the money on the nightstand, her expression could no longer be described as merely ugly.
“Lu Xian Ning, you’ve got guts!”
