After Being Cheated, I Had a Flash Marriage with My Ex's Aunt - Chapter 20.3
The next day, Li Sui and Bai Shuyi prepared for their trip to the resort. Li Ke had already gone to pick up her guest, so they swung by to pick up Li Mi, and everyone agreed to meet at the destination.
True to her habits, Li Sui spent the journey snapping photos of the scenery along the way. When they finally arrived at the hot spring resort, she couldn’t help but feel a small jolt of awe.
The resort was perched at the very top of a mountain, accessible by either cable car or a winding mountain staircase. It sat beside Gan-Du’s famous reservoir, its architecture blending seamlessly with the surrounding peaks and water. It looked like a hidden paradise.
Her aunt certainly didn’t do things halfway, Li Sui thought.
Just then, she spotted Li Ke approaching with a beautiful woman in tow. Li Ke’s face was noticeably flushed as she proudly made the introductions. “Everyone, I’d like you to meet my girlfriend, Chen Ling.”
She did it? Li Sui looked at Chen Ling and offered a congratulatory smile. “Congratulations!”
“Hehe,” Li Ke grinned like an idiot.
Chen Ling looked a bit shy herself as she nodded to Li Sui. “President Li.”
After a round of pleasantries, the group didn’t linger at the foot of the mountain for long. They hopped on the cable car and were soon at the summit.
Bai Shuyi had mentioned that her aunt wasn’t currently in Gan-Du, but she had already made all the necessary arrangements. As soon as they reached the resort gates, staff members were there to greet them.
Li Sui had done her research. She knew the resort offered far more than just hot springs; there were several leisure areas to explore. The springs themselves were divided into public sections for men and women, as well as private and “couple’s” pools.
The couple’s pools were the main attraction, each housed in its own private suite.
“Why don’t we check out the rooms first, then grab some lunch?” Li Sui suggested, looking around at the lush environment. “We can have a nice, long soak after we eat.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Li Ke agreed.
Led by the staff, everyone went off to their respective rooms. Bai Shuyi led Li Sui to one of the couple’s suites.
“This room has its own built-in pool,” Bai Shuyi said, a gentle smile playing on her face. “I specifically asked my aunt to reserve this one. Go on, take a look.”
Li Sui didn’t say a word as she stepped inside.
The room was immaculate—decorated in a refined, elegant style with tasteful ornaments. Most importantly, the double bed wasn’t covered in cheesy flower arrangements. The back courtyard featured a retractable glass roof over a pool of crystal-blue water. Steam curled off the surface, making the surrounding greenery look ethereal in the mist.
The entire suite had a distinct, sophisticated vibe.
“I like it,” Li Sui said, nodding in approval.
Bai Shuyi set their bags on the sofa. Her phone buzzed, and after checking it, she looked up. “Lunch is ready. Do you want to eat while we soak?”
“That sounds amazing,” Li Sui agreed.
As soon as she said it, she saw Bai Shuyi pull two robes from their bag. Li Sui took the robe and her change of clothes and headed for the bathroom.
The bathroom had transparent glass walls. Bai Shuyi started to say something to warn her, but then thought better of it. She quietly turned around and walked out into the courtyard instead.
A few minutes later, Li Sui emerged.
Bai Shuyi was surprised to see that Li Sui hadn’t changed. In fact, she looked quite disappointed.
“What’s wrong?” Bai Shuyi asked, her eyes falling on the robe still in Li Sui’s hand. “Is the robe not the right size?”
Li Sui sighed, her face clouding with embarrassment. “Um… I think my period just started.”
Her cycle was notoriously irregular. Every month was a gamble—she never knew it had arrived until she actually went to the bathroom. It was a constant source of frustration. When it didn’t come, she worried; when it did, it always seemed to be at the worst possible time.
Just the night before, they had been joking in their group chat about how embarrassing it would be to get your period at a hot spring.
Speak of the devil. It was beyond frustrating.
Bai Shuyi didn’t seem bothered. She gave a light laugh. “We can always come back another time. It’s not like it’s a long trip.”
“I guess so.”
Li Sui went back into the bathroom to take care of things. When she came out, she found Bai Shuyi standing in the courtyard, gazing out at the distant view.
“Is your cycle regular?” Li Sui asked, her voice heavy with regret.
“Very,” Bai Shuyi replied. She had never really struggled with it. For her, having her period was barely any different from not having it—likely due to her healthy diet and consistent sleep schedule.
“I’m jealous,” Li Sui muttered. She tried to push down her disappointment. Li Ke and the others were in the same boat as her; their cycles were all over the place. Li Mi was even seeing a traditional doctor for herbal treatments, but nothing seemed to help.
Li Sui looked at Bai Shuyi, her spirits suddenly lifting. “I can’t soak, but you still can!”
“Good point,” Bai Shuyi agreed, not wanting to spoil the mood. “Then I’ll go change into my robe.”
She had actually packed several robes and swimsuits for the occasion.
While Bai Shuyi was changing, Li Sui wandered around the courtyard, snapping photos for her project. Even if she couldn’t soak, she was determined to find something to enjoy about the trip.
But the moment Bai Shuyi stepped into her camera’s frame, Li Sui froze.
Bai Shuyi was wearing a pale green, lace-trimmed swimsuit. The color made her skin look incredibly fair, and it was impossible to look away. Standing at nearly 5’9″, her silhouette was flawless—her long, elegant legs were on full display.
She looked breathtaking—a perfect blend of elegance and allure.
This is dangerous, Li Sui thought. Seeing a beauty like this in so little clothing was going to be the death of her.
Bai Shuyi caught her stunned expression and flashed a brilliant smile. “Do I look okay?”
“You look… great,” Li Sui managed to say. She felt a sudden rush of heat to her face and had to sniffle to keep her composure. “You look amazing.”
With that, Li Sui quietly turned her gaze toward the scenery. Fate has been kind to me, she thought. My wife is so beautiful.
She couldn’t help but wonder what Bai Shuyi would look like in a wedding dress. She was going to be stunning.
Li Mi eventually found out that Li Sui couldn’t join them in the water. She brought over a thermos of brown sugar water, but when she arrived, she found Li Sui already happily sipping on a tonic that Bai Shuyi had prepared in the kitchen.
“I was worried you’d be doubled over with cramps,” Li Mi said, seeing Li Sui’s relaxed state.
“I’m actually okay this time,” Li Sui replied with a smile. Usually, she suffered from severe abdominal pain and had to rely on medication. Li Mi often checked in on her and had suggested she try traditional herbal medicine as well.
Knowing that Bai Shuyi had specifically ordered a bowl of motherwort and brown sugar egg tonic for her made Li Sui feel incredibly cared for. She made a mental note to repay the kindness later.
Bai Shuyi had left the two of them alone and headed to the side parlor to get some work done.
Li Mi stayed for a while. Seeing that Li Sui was doing fine, she sighed. “We were planning on staying for a couple of days, but maybe we should head back tomorrow instead?”
“Don’t be silly! You guys should stay and have fun,” Li Sui said, leaning back on the sofa with a heating pad on her stomach. She sounded perfectly content. “We can always come back whenever we want.”
Li Mi let the subject drop. She leaned in closer, a playful glint in her eyes. “So… did you watch those videos I sent you last night?”
Li Sui’s reaction was instantaneous. She shot a nervous look toward the parlor where Bai Shuyi was and lowered her voice to a frantic whisper. “It was mortifying! She heard everything yesterday.”
Li Mi gave an awkward, apologetic laugh. “Oh… what did she say?”
“She teased me. She said… she wanted us to watch them together.”
Li Sui’s eyes darted around as she spoke. Remembering the look on Bai Shuyi’s face when she said those words—it seemed like she had been dead serious. Li Sui’s cheeks began to glow red again.
Li Mi nearly burst out laughing. “Well, isn’t that perfect? You can learn together! The experience will be twice as good.”
Li Sui looked at her in disbelief. “You really are something else…”
She couldn’t win this argument. The more they talked, the more her face felt like it was going to spontaneously combust.
“Alright, I’ll stop,” Li Mi said, seeing that her friend was about to reach her limit. She set the thermos down. “At least you got an answer. You might not have deep feelings yet, but it’s clear she’s willing to be intimate with you. It’s a rare opportunity. Don’t let it go to waste.”
Li Sui buried her face in her hands. “…Lower your voice. I still have some dignity left.”
“I’m going, I’m going!” Li Ke chuckled and stood up to leave.
Li Sui watched her go in silence, her mind racing. After a moment, she seemed to reach a decision.
She cast a cautious glance toward Bai Shuyi’s direction, then crept into the bathroom. With a “thief-like” intensity, she pulled out her phone and opened her chat with Li Mi.
Li Mi:

[Here, I’ll start with these three.]

Li Sui stared at the thumbnails, her inner conscience waging a brief war.
Then, she turned her volume to the absolute minimum and began carefully copying the links into her decompression software. She clumsily decoded the files one by one and tentatively opened the first one.
Oh… oh my god.
So… that’s how it’s done!

“Boss, I’ve already set everything in motion as you instructed.”
Secretary Li’s calm voice came through the phone. “The Su family matriarch is gravely ill, and they want a ‘joyful event’ to ward off the misfortune. As a result, they’ve moved Liang Xiaona and Su Tan’s wedding up to the 28th of this month.”
Bai Shuyi was reviewing a file on her laptop, clearly satisfied with her secretary’s efficiency. “Have you found the person yet?”
“We have a lead,” Secretary Li replied evenly. “The Su family is trying to keep a lid on it, and they’ve sent out a lot of people to search. We should find them soon.”
Bai Shuyi’s gaze drifted to the DNA paternity test in the file. A faint, subtle smirk touched her lips. “Keep an eye on it. I don’t want any slip-ups.”
Since Liang Xiaona had chosen to cheat with Su Tan in hopes of securing a fortune that didn’t belong to her…
Then, as Liang Xiaona’s former “aunt”…
Bai Shuyi was certainly going to deliver a very special wedding gift.
Once she had finished her work, Bai Shuyi returned to the bedroom. She immediately spotted Li Sui in the bathroom. Through the transparent glass, everything was visible.
Li Sui was hunched over, her back to the door. She was wearing Bluetooth headphones and was crouched on the floor in a pose that suggested she was desperately trying not to be seen.
Bai Shuyi was hit with a wave of intense curiosity. She stepped light as a feather toward the bathroom.
What on earth is she watching that’s got her so engrossed?
