After Being Cheated, I Had a Flash Marriage with My Ex's Aunt - Chapter 19
“I have no idea,” Liang Xiaotang said, her voice dropping as she moved to a quieter spot. “Yiyao didn’t mention a name, and I didn’t find the right moment to push. All I know is that her net worth is no joke. Half the shops in the Antique City are backed by her investments.”
Liang Xiaona was genuinely curious. She had never heard a whisper of Shuyi dating anyone; the sudden marriage was a total curveball.
However, she suspected it had everything to do with the Jiangshan Group. Shuyi already held a 15% stake; getting married would grant her another 15%, making her the second-largest shareholder in the entire empire. Xiaona gritted her teeth. Some people are just born lucky. It’s enough to turn anyone green with envy.
As Xiaona went to open her car door, she caught a reflection in the window—a familiar figure sneaking up behind her.
“Hey!” The figure shouted, jumping to her side.
“You scared me to death!” Xiaona gasped, shooting Su Tan a mock-resentful look. “Baby, please don’t do that. My heart almost jumped out of my chest.”
“Hehe, sorry! I won’t do it again.” Su Tan wrapped her arms around Xiaona’s waist, her voice turning thick with affection. “I missed you, so I had to come see you.”
Xiaona suppressed her irritation and coaxed her gently. “I missed you too, but I’m still on the clock.”
“So what?” Su Tan pouted, her voice turning high and whiny. “I came all this way. Can’t you just spend some time with me?”
Xiaona’s brow twitched, but her response was honey-sweet. “But Baby, you know I just joined the company. I need to prove myself and get these deals through. Otherwise, I’d be with you every second of the day.”
Su Tan sighed, venting her own frustrations. “I don’t know… I feel like my mom and grandmother are hiding something from me, but I can’t figure out what it is.”
Xiaona’s heart did a nervous jolt. “Is it because of me? Do they still think I’m not good enough for you?”
“Don’t think like that,” Su Tan said quickly, not wanting to upset her. She offered a bright smile. “As long as I love you, it’s fine. Besides, we’ve already registered. The wedding is right around the corner.”
“I love you too,” Xiaona said, the words sliding off her tongue with practiced ease. She led Su Tan into the car, where the atmosphere quickly turned heated and intimate.
In the middle of their tryst, Su Tan’s phone rang. Xiaona, regaining her composure, handed the phone over while she slowly adjusted her clothes and hooked her bra back on.
“What?!” Su Tan scrambled to pull her shirt on, her hand trembling as she held the phone. “Grandmother’s condition has worsened?”
Xiaona frowned. Something big is happening.
Su Tan, completely losing her head, begged Xiaona to drive her to the hospital. When they arrived, the news wasn’t good. The Su matriarch was in intensive care, and the hospital had already issued a critical condition notice.
Xiaona spotted Su Tan’s mother and greeted her respectfully. “Auntie Su.”
Su Tan’s mother gave a curt nod.
“Grandmother… she’ll be okay, right?” Su Tan sobbed, leaning on Xiaona for support.
Her mother’s expression was grim. “Her condition has been fluctuating. She was just talking to me about your wedding decorations… I didn’t think she’d collapse like this.”
Su Tan burst into tears, burying her face in Xiaona’s chest. Su Tan’s mother turned away to wipe her own eyes.
Xiaona sighed, offering a heavy, comforting tone. “Grandmother is a strong woman. She’ll pull through this. Don’t lose hope.”
The news of the Su matriarch’s critical state spread through the high-society circles like wildfire. If she didn’t recover, the entire weight of the Su empire—dozens of companies—would fall solely on Su Tan’s mother.
In the midst of the chaos, Su Tan’s mother noticed how Xiaona stepped up. She was at the hospital day and night, handling every detail and supporting Su Tan without a single complaint.
Half a year ago, when she first found out her daughter loved a “nobody” like Liang Xiaona, the mother had been cold and dismissive. But Xiaona had never retaliated. She had remained refined, gentle, and infinitely patient with Su Tan. The mother was finally starting to come around. After all, she thought, Xiaona was raised in the Bai family’s circle and went to a top university. With a bit of grooming, she could be a real asset to the family business.

Back at the villa, Li Sui had enjoyed a long, restorative nap. She woke up at 2:30 PM, tidied the cat area, fed the “kids,” and took the trash out.
Every year, Li Sui celebrated Li Ke’s birthday at the Li residence. Li Mimi and Li Ke were both adopted by two mothers who were incredible cooks. Their chopped-chili fish head and spicy ribs were Li Sui’s absolute favorites. Mimi had even asked for Shuyi’s dietary preferences, promising a feast.
Excited for the evening, Li Sui decided to enjoy a long soak in the tub. She filled the bath with bubbles and hummed to herself, scrubbing away the day’s stress.
Suddenly, a loud noise from outside the bathroom broke her peace.
Li Sui froze. What was that? Are the cats fighting again?
Downstairs, Shuyi had returned early with a small strawberry cake for Li Sui. She hadn’t seen the girl anywhere and her calls went unanswered, so she assumed Li Sui was upstairs working. As Shuyi went to wash her hands, she accidentally knocked a heavy pot lid off the counter. The metallic clang sent the cats scurrying for cover.
Cursing her clumsiness, Shuyi tidied up and headed upstairs. She found the study door open, but Li Sui wasn’t there. Where is she? Her car is in the garage and the trash is still by the door.
Then, she heard it—a faint, cheerful humming coming from the master bedroom.
Is she in there? Shuyi pushed the door open tentatively. A wave of floral body wash scent hit her. Why is she bathing at this hour?
As Shuyi walked in, her foot caught on something on the floor. She tripped, falling hard with a loud thud.
“Huh?!” In the bathroom, Li Sui jumped. That definitely wasn’t a cat.
Her heart hammered. Shuyi is at the office. Is there a thief in the house? She realized with a jolt of panic that her phone was on the nightstand outside. Trembling, she climbed out of the tub and wrapped a pink towel around herself. She grabbed the nearest “weapon”—a toilet brush—and cautiously creaked the door open.
Shuyi was on the floor, her head having narrowly missed the corner of a table. As she regained her senses, she picked up the object she had tripped over.
It was a black lace bra.
Shuyi’s brain stalled. She looked up just as the bathroom door swung open with a click.
Li Sui charged out, toilet brush raised high.
The two women stared at each other, both frozen in shock.
Li Sui’s panic turned into a flurry of confusion. Shuyi? Why is she back? And why is she sitting on the floor?
Then, her eyes landed on the object in Shuyi’s hand—her black bra, the one she’d tossed aside before her bath. Shuyi was holding it quite casually.
Li Sui’s entire face turned a vivid, agonizing red. She was too embarrassed to even speak.
Shuyi’s gaze was locked. Before her, Li Sui was wearing nothing but a small pink towel. In her rush, she hadn’t dried off properly; water was still dripping from her hair, and crystal-clear droplets glistened on her collarbone and shoulders. Her skin was flushed a soft pink from the hot water—so pale and tender it looked like the slightest touch would leave a mark.
The beauty of the sight made Shuyi’s heart skip a beat. Her own ears turned a blood-red.
Ambiguity flooded the room. Li Sui instinctively shielded her chest with her hands, so embarrassed she wanted to sink through the floor. She lunged forward to snatch the bra from Shuyi’s hand.
“I… I’ll go get dressed!”
Her heart was doing a frantic dance. Li Sui turned to bolt back to the bathroom, but in her panic, her left foot tripped over her right. She lost her balance and tumbled forward—directly onto Shuyi, who was still on the floor.
“Watch out!” Shuyi cried, her instincts taking over. She reached out to catch the girl, but in the frantic, clumsy scramble to steady them both, her fingers caught the knot of Li Sui’s towel.
With a single, accidental tug, the towel slid down.
In an instant, there was nowhere left for the imagination to go.
