After a Contractual Romance with the Scumbag Movie Queen - Chapter 1
Jiang Tian stood at the elevator door, idly scrolling through Weibo while waiting.
The top trending topic on Weibo was still about Qi Puzhi, the undisputed queen of the domestic entertainment industry. The content, as usual, was gossip, followed by a blazing “Explosive” tag.
The only change was the name of the other party involved last month it had been a certain A-list actress, and now it was a B-list actor.
Clicking into the most popular post under the hashtag, the comments were nothing new:
“Here’s a joke: Qi Puzhi changes partners more reliably than I pay my mortgage every month.”
“Has anyone kept count of how many young stars Qi Puzhi has ‘ruined’ this year?”
“Unrelated people just clinging to her fame for attention. Hands off Qi Puzhi.”
“Love this, give us more. We live for the glamorous heartbreaker, mmm…”
The elevator arrived, and Jiang Tian put away her phone as she stepped inside.
The Puxing Entertainment headquarters was a 22-story building.
The top floor should have been private and quiet, but from a distance came the sound of sobbing.
Following the signs toward the CEO’s office, Jiang Tian walked closer, the crying growing louder until she witnessed quite the scene.
A stunningly beautiful woman, exuding charm, was entangled with a delicate-looking young girl.
“Teacher Qi, please don’t abandon me, wuwuwu…” The girl wept uncontrollably, trembling as she tried to grab the woman’s arm, only for the woman to deftly evade her.
“Give me another chance, please,” the girl hiccuped between sobs. “It’s only been five days.”
Qi Puzhi watched her cry, her ethereally beautiful face devoid of expression, radiating indifference and detachment like a heartbreaker who had lost interest after a fleeting infatuation.
Noticing someone in her peripheral vision, she glanced over and saw a young woman standing at a distance. Her features were cool and elegant, strikingly beautiful in a quiet, well-behaved way, silently observing her.
Pausing for a moment, Qi Puzhi showed no embarrassment at being caught in such a situation. Instead, her lips curled into a faintly teasing smile.
The previously cold expression instantly came alive, her beauty dazzling.
By contrast, her treatment of the sobbing girl seemed even more heartless.
Shifting her gaze back, Qi Puzhi said to the girl, “Go home and wait for the notice.”
Her voice was soft and melodious, yet the words she spoke were utterly ruthless.
Even after delivering what was essentially a death sentence, she could still sweetly add, “Be careful on your way back.”
A heartbreaker through and through brazen and unapologetic, toying with emotions so openly.
The girl trembled with sobs but obediently staggered toward the elevator, pitifully well-behaved.
“Not coming over?” Seeing Jiang Tian still standing there, Qi Puzhi studied her expression with amusement.
Quite composed.
The CEO’s office was spacious and grand, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a clear view. Every detail of the decor was exquisite, reflecting the owner’s impeccable taste and love for luxury.
Qi Puzhi beckoned to the young woman. “Have a seat. Tea or water?”
When Jiang Tian indicated she had no preference, Qi Puzhi poured two cups of tea and set them on the coffee table before lounging casually on the sofa.
Looking up, she saw Jiang Tian sitting upright, her posture impeccable, her demeanor cool and serene. Her long, thick lashes framed her eyes, and when she pressed her lips together, a faint dimple appeared on her right cheek.
She looked utterly well-behaved.
Yet, Qi Puzhi couldn’t help but recall last night’s reckless passion.
She had been drugged. Jiang Tian helped her to a bedroom and said considerately, “Sister, wait a moment. I’ll call a private doctor. The news won’t leak.”
The young woman was about to leave when she suddenly reached up and hooked her arms around the other’s neck, her eyes seductive and hazy. “Want to do it?”
At that moment, the young girl had looked just like this, innocent and proper, making one reluctant to defile her.
Her lashes trembled slightly. “Sister, you’re not in your right mind now.”
Qi Puzhi interrupted, gently lifting her chin, her voice slightly hoarse. “I’m only asking if you want to. Don’t say anything else.”
The girl fell silent for a moment before whispering, “Of course I do, but.”
The rest of her words were swallowed by Qi Puzhi suddenly leaning in to bite her lower lip.
“You talk too much…” Qi Puzhi narrowed her eyes slightly in dissatisfaction, her face flushed with desire, her gaze shifting between opening and closing with a captivating allure. “If we’re doing it, hurry up.”
When Jiang Tian leaned in, she seemed to only mumble one vague instruction,”No kissing.”
What happened afterward was a blur, the alcohol and drugs left her consciousness hazy, with only the lingering pleasure of release.
When she woke up, only fragmented images remained in her mind.
The young woman’s eyes were as beautiful as gemstones, sometimes looking at her with pure innocence, other times dark and inscrutable, like a young wolf eyeing its prey, lying in wait before taking over.
Her voice, cool and clear like pearls falling onto a plate, sometimes obediently called her “sister,” while at other times, it seemed to whisper her name directly into her ear, laden with meaning.
It was all too contradictory, too fragmented, making it hard to distinguish between reality and dream.
When she woke, her back ached terribly, though her body was clean and dry.
The girl must have cleaned her up.
With the effects of the drugs gone, she couldn’t bring herself to acknowledge the situation. She got out of bed with an air of indifference, only for her legs to give way, nearly sending her tumbling onto the carpet. Jiang Tian quickly caught her.
It should have been an extremely awkward moment, but Qi Puzhi was no ordinary person, a seasoned player in the industry, famously known in the domestic entertainment scene as a charming heartbreaker.
So, after steadying herself against Jiang Tian, she looked up at the young woman’s face full of concern and innocence, smiling carelessly, exuding allure,
“You said yesterday that you really like me?”
The girl replied, “Yes.”
“Then come to the 22nd floor of Puxing Entertainment at five this afternoon to see me.”
Qi Puzhi pulled her thoughts back from the memory and glanced at Jiang Tian sitting beside her.
At the edge of the young woman’s collar, half a love bite peeked out on her neck.
Her plump, rosy lower lip bore a mark where it had been bitten.
Qi Puzhi spoke leisurely, “You saw it yourself at the office door earlier this is just my type.”
Her eyes smiled, not coming off as frivolous but instead exuding a seductive charm. “Even so, do you still like me as much as you said last night?”
“Yes,” Jiang Tian answered without hesitation, her voice firm.
Qi Puzhi raised an eyebrow, took a sip of tea, and added, “My rumored partners change every month sometimes even weekly. Even then, you still like me?”
Her voice lowered deliberately, carrying a hint of mischief in the otherwise quiet office.
Jiang Tian still didn’t hesitate. “Yes.”
Her tone was cool, yet serene and resolute.
The young woman’s gaze rested on her, her clear eyes openly filled with admiration.
It was like knowing full well the other person was a heartbreaker, yet still stepping forward to offer oneself up, even if it meant being toyed with at will.
Qi Puzhi fell silent for a moment, then suppressed the slight self-reproach that came with taking advantage of such an obedient young girl. She moved closer to Jiang Tian and smiled faintly at the beautiful face now mere inches away. “In that case, do you want to date me?”
The corners of her eyes were tinged with a seductive red, her gaze enigmatic and teasing, her tone casual.
Yet she lingered on the last six words, drawing them out like a bewitching melody.
Jiang Tian watched her quietly, the dimples in her cheeks softening her otherwise cool and composed features.
This woman had spent the night with her just yesterday, was currently embroiled in a scandal with some second-tier actor trending on social media, and not long ago had been coldly and ruthlessly entangled with another girl right in front of her.
When her friends learned she wanted to enter the industry, their only advice had been: Stay away from Qi Puzhi.
But Jiang Tian parted her lips and said, “Yes.”
Qi Puzhi raised a delicate brow. “Really?”
Then, as if it had just occurred to her, she added, “Ah, I forgot to mention, it’s the kind that comes with an extremely unequal agreement.”
Before Jiang Tian could react, Qi Puzhi leisurely began listing the terms: “I don’t have time for childish games, only adult relationships. You’re not allowed to question me, not allowed to ask what I’m doing. Unless I say so, you can’t reach out to me, can’t get physically intimate, can’t cross boundaries…”
“And the most important point,” she mused, a hint of mockery in her voice. “We don’t have to be exclusive.”
The mischief in her eyes was clearly a reminder of the girl who had tearfully begged, Don’t leave me.
It sounded like an open relationship, but in reality, it was one person completely controlling another.
Not just heartless, this was outright bad, unabashedly so.
Qi Puzhi waited with some amusement to see how this well-behaved girl would react.
But Jiang Tian didn’t even blink. She simply asked, “When do we sign the agreement, sister?”
?
Qi Puzhi felt the girl was far too composed, she needed to reclaim the upper hand.
So she said, “Right now.”
She fetched her laptop and opened a document on the desktop.
Inside was a densely packed list of relationship clauses, even more nitpicky, absurd, and unequal than the ones she’d casually mentioned earlier.
She turned the laptop slightly toward Jiang Tian, propped her chin on her hand, and said lazily, “As you can see, it’s harsh. If you say no now, I won’t laugh at you.”
Despite all the warnings not to jump into the pit, Jiang Tian displayed the kind of naive foolishness unique to the young. She curved her eyes into a smile, the dimples making her look sweet and docile. “Sister, we can sign.”
Qi Puzhi studied her for a few seconds, then obligingly hit Print.
Signatures, thumbprints, even an official seal, the relationship agreement was now in full effect.
After putting the documents away, Qi Puzhi stretched contentedly.
When she looked up and met the focused, serene gaze of her newly minted girlfriend, she felt an inexplicable flicker of novel delight.
So she reached out and pinched the younger girl’s cheek.
The texture was as soft as tofu.
Jiang Tian didn’t move, completely pliant, her large eyes fixed on Qi Puzhi accepting and tender.
This girl really seemed to like her.
So obedient that Qi Puzhi couldn’t resist pinching her again.
“Sis.” Jiang Tian indulged her behavior while saying, “Regarding the drugging incident last night, the Jiang family will give you an explanation.”
Last night’s banquet had been hosted by the Jiang family.
Having been in the social scene for years, Qi Puzhi was always cautious about what she consumed. She believed she had paid attention to the entire process of that glass of wine from being opened, poured into the glass, to ending up in her hand.
For so many years, nothing had ever gone wrong, yet last night was the exception.
She curled her lips into a smile and leisurely said to Jiang Tian, “Hmm? Didn’t the Jiang family already give me an explanation?”
The teasing intent in her words was unmistakable, directly alluding to Jiang Tian’s physical “explanation” the night before.
Seeing Jiang Tian press her lips together, Qi Puzhi thought she had successfully flustered the young woman.
But after a moment, Jiang Tian said, “Sis, do you not want the Jiang family involved and prefer to investigate it yourself?”
She had actually picked up on the subtext.
Truly the sole heiress of a wealthy family, she appeared obedient and naive, yet was surprisingly sharp when it came to reading between the lines.
Qi Puzhi gave her a meaningful glance, tacitly confirming her guess.
“Alright, go back and rest early.”
After just a few words, Qi Puzhi began shooing her away.
“Stay safe,” she added casually, echoing the same parting words she had given the sobbing girl earlier.
“Sis.” Jiang Tian hesitated slightly before reminding her, “We haven’t exchanged contact information.”
“Hmm.” Qi Puzhi seemed to ponder for a moment, then blinked at her. “No worries. If fate wills it, we’ll meet again.”
Jiang Tian pressed her lips together, as if too timid to object, appearing obedient and compliant with a hint of pitifulness. “Okay.”
“Pfft.” Qi Puzhi burst out laughing. “Just teasing you.”
After they exchanged numbers, Jiang Tian tactfully stood up immediately. “Goodbye, Sis.”
“Goodbye.” Qi Puzhi responded with a smile, resting her chin on her hand as she watched the young woman’s graceful figure depart.
Her posture was upright, her back slender, her waist narrow, and her legs long and slim like a young white poplar tree.
When the office door closed softly, Qi Puzhi zoned out for a moment before lazily reclining in her chair and pinching the bridge of her nose.
As if recalling something, her ears gradually flushed red.
“Really crossing the line…”
