Did Scumbag A Get Divorced Today? - Chapter 38.3
“This is a rumor? Siyue said it after careful observation,” Sui Yu replied, shaking her head. She looked at Li Jiang like she’d committed some unthinkable crime. “How could you be so foolish? That’s your sister’s girlfriend! How could you develop such indecent thoughts?”
“We haven’t told them yet out of respect for your relationship, but you won’t be able to hide it for long.”
She sighed, looking up at the sky. “Even someone as pure as Siyue noticed. Imagine what others are thinking—their eyes are even sharper.”
Li Jiang: “…”
Every word Sui Yu said hit like a hammer. Li Jiang couldn’t understand how anyone could have come to such a ridiculous conclusion.
“We even tried talking Siyue out of it…” Sui Yu looked increasingly disappointed.
“Jueshu knows too?” This time, Li Jiang’s frown deepened. At first, she thought Sui Yu was just messing with her out of personal dislike. But hearing that Shen Jueshu was involved… she started to feel this might not be just a joke.
Maybe… Siyue really believed she liked Mo Yu?
Her throat tightened suddenly, and she had the urge to cough up blood.
Sui Yu patted her on the shoulder and said with a grin, “Good luck. If your sister decides to beat you up, try to clear the room first.”
Li Jiang: “…”
Mission accomplished. Sui Yu walked away in a great mood, leaving Li Jiang alone in stunned silence.
Seeing Li Jiang again only made Sui Yu more convinced—Li Jiang might really have feelings for Jiang Siyue. She let out a quiet sigh. Back when Siyue had been chasing after her, Li Jiang hadn’t done anything wrong. She just hadn’t liked her.
But that was the problem. Li Jiang was too proud and stubborn—completely wrong for someone like Siyue. If the two of them really got together, with Siyue’s romantic nature, she’d get eaten alive. Probably even worse than before.
Someone like Jiang Siyue needed to be loved fully, patiently, and with endless affection. She deserved to live freely and happily—not to be bound and stifled for someone else.
When she finally found Jiang Siyue, the girl was sitting with Mo Yu and another trainee, crowded around a phone. Sui Yu leaned in to see what they were watching—and found that they were watching CP videos of Siyue and Mo Yu.
Sui Yu: “…”
Are the actual people really sitting here happily watching fans edit videos of them being shipped together?!
“Oh, Yu-Yu, you’re here!” Jiang Siyue looked up with surprise and joy.
“Had a bit of free time, figured I’d stop by,” Sui Yu said as she sat down cross-legged across from them. Her gaze flicked to the phone. “What are you watching so intently?”
And doing it so openly, no less.
Jiang Siyue puffed up with pride, threw her arm around Mo Yu’s shoulder, and lifted her chin. “Our team ranked first in the challenge, so we’re allowed three hours of phone time!”
Mo Yu blushed a little, while Tang Wan next to them also struck a proud pose like a partner in crime.
Looking at the three of them smiling so brightly, Sui Yu couldn’t help but grin. It looks like Siyue has made some really good friends on this journey.
“Then you better keep it up,” Sui Yu said, holding out her fist in encouragement. “I want to see you in the debut lineup.”
“That’s a promise!” Siyue replied confidently.
Maybe it was because she had found something she truly loved—these days, Jiang Siyue was becoming more and more confident, her whole presence glowing with energy.
Watching her laugh so freely, Sui Yu felt a warm sense of comfort in her chest.
Now that both of them had found their paths… that, in itself, was a beautiful thing.
As expected, when they heard the words “big meal,” the three girls’ eyes lit up instantly, and they exclaimed together, “Big meal!”
Since the plan was set, they didn’t waste a second packing up and heading out. And now that they were finally allowed to go out, there was no way Mo Yu would miss the chance to see her sister. She immediately called her to share the news, and Li Yi said she’d wait for them at the restaurant.
By the time the four arrived, Li Yi was already standing at the entrance of the hotpot restaurant. The crisp early autumn weather made it the perfect time for something warm and steamy like hotpot.
They went inside, and Li Yi, clearly familiar with everyone’s preferences, quickly ordered a bunch of Mo Yu’s favorite dishes. Watching her and Mo Yu stick closely together, the other three couldn’t help but pull exaggerated sour faces.
Jiang Siyue let out a playful hum and leaned gently against Tang Wan, her voice soft and sweet as she said, “Wanwannie~ I want you to order for me too~”
Sui Yu: “…”
The couple, now clinging to each other: “…”
Tang Wan, without missing a beat, wrapped an arm around Jiang Siyue and patted her on the shoulder. “Okay, I’ll order for you!”
Everyone else: “…” These two are such drama queens.
Seeing the scene, Sui Yu sighed dramatically, pulled out her phone, snapped a few pictures of the cozy pairs, and sent them to Shen Jueshu.
Sui Yu: Wuwuwu, everyone’s all lovey-dovey, and I’m the only lonely soul here. My heart feels so cold~
Shen Jueshu had just been about to host a meeting when she received the message. She opened it, and the corners of her lips curved up slightly. She replied:
Shen Jueshu: Where are you eating?
After sending the message, she asked Qin Qing to host the meeting for her and send her the notes afterward. She was heading out instead.
When Sui Yu saw that Shen Jueshu had actually asked where she was, she was a little surprised but also touched. So she really does care, she thought. She quickly sent her the address.
As Shen Jueshu got into the car and saw the address, she felt a little more relaxed—it wasn’t far from her company.
Just as all the dishes had been served, Sui Yu’s phone suddenly rang. She looked at the screen and, to her surprise, it was Shen Jueshu calling. Slightly confused, she picked up.
“I’m at the entrance. Which room are you in?”
The moment she heard that voice, Sui Yu’s heart skipped a beat, and her eyes lit up. She jumped to her feet. “You’re here already? Don’t move—I’ll come get you!”
Without even saying a word to the others, she ran straight to the door.
“Who got her so worked up?” Tang Wan asked, a little stunned. She had just lifted her chopsticks, but now paused mid-air and set them down, deciding to wait until Sui Yu came back.
“Whoever it is, she clearly cares a lot,” Mo Yu said quietly.
Li Yi just smiled without saying a word.
But among everyone present, only Jiang Siyue’s eyes sparkled with excitement. If she didn’t care about appearances, she might’ve jumped out of her seat.
She had seen the caller ID—it was Shen Jueshu!
Sui Yu rushed to the entrance, and when she saw Shen Jueshu standing there, her smile grew even brighter. She ran over, grabbed her hand, and asked, “What are you doing here?”
She was so excited it practically showed on her face—her cheeks even turned a little pink.
Shen Jueshu walked in with her and said in a calm voice, “Someone looked so pitiful and lonely that I suddenly felt like being nice.”
Sui Yu laughed, gently swinging their joined hands. “Thank you, kind and generous lady~”
The corners of Shen Jueshu’s mouth lifted ever so slightly, and she looked visibly softer.
When the two of them walked into the private room, everyone else was still waiting to start eating. Li Yi looked at Shen Jueshu and gave her a knowing smile, then motioned for them to sit down and join in.
“President Shen is even more beautiful than a celebrity!” Tang Wan exclaimed. Even though she worked under Shen Jueshu’s company, she couldn’t help but admire her every time they met. “If she doesn’t join the entertainment industry, she’s doing everyone else a favor!”
“Of course she is!” Sui Yu said proudly. This was her favorite leading lady—how could she not be gorgeous?
