Ji Mian woke up from a coma only to realize she had transmigrated into a novel, the very same story she had written and left unfinished.
Before she could even process the situation, she found herself being pried out of her own coffin by the novel’s female lead. The heroine stood over her with a menacing look, sword pointed at her throat, demanding the antidote.
It turns out she had transmigrated as the Great Villainess of her own story.
In the original work, the female lead is the leader of the righteous Daoist sects, while the original host, who happens to share Ji Mian’s name, is the notorious Cult Leader of the Demonic Sect.
To save her own skin, Ji Mian begins helping the female lead by taking blades meant for her. Yet, the heroine only looks at her with a sullen, conflicted expression, clearly finding her to be an eyesore. When Ji Mian painstakingly tracks down the “Lifeless Sequence” to help the heroine, the latter sneaks into the villain’s lair, intent on exposing her true colors.
However, the tide turns on the day the three major sects unite to eradicate the “evil” Ji Mian. Lin Qingye, the Martial Arts Alliance Leader herself, suddenly switches sides, infiltrating the enemy camp just to find her.
