The Butterfly Effect

Their meeting began with a butterfly effect caused by Sami’s arrival. Filled with guilt, Sami brought home the injured and regressed Suter, caring for him as if he were a young cub.

During that brief, fleeting time of mutual companionship, Sami became immersed in the warmth of a home and gradually lost himself. He could not control those small, intimate gestures: the way his fingertips lingered while straightening a collar, the subconscious hair-ruffling during goodnight wishes, and the hand that almost caressed the other’s cheek.

Despite repeatedly warning himself to maintain distance, his body always acted before his reason. When he instinctively tried to flee, he was trapped within the narrow space of Suter’s embrace. A burning kiss pressed against his lips as Suter bit down, whispering: “Stop treating me like a cub.”

Only then did Sami realize with a shock that this cohabitation, born out of guilt, had long since fermented into something else. Everything was in chaos.

 The Empire’s Blade

Suter had spent his entire life waiting for death. As the Empire’s sharpest blade, he was accustomed to being feared and loathed by all.

Until he met Sami.

This male was impossibly gentle; he would bake strawberry cakes and stroke Suter’s hair while saying goodnight. Yet, the sweeter it became, the more Suter could not help but doubt: “Do you truly love me, or do you have other motives?”

 The Heartbreak

“So, from the very beginning, you thought my kindness was just a way to use you.”

Sami looked at Suter for a long time, finally offering a smile of forced resignation. But tears fell first, blurring his vision. He thought those moments of warmth contained a spark of genuine heart, only to find it was a silent monodrama he had staged himself. He was too naive; his sincerity had been misplaced.
